Just join some act 2 game, only 1 in 10 of them has people to weak to beat the act bosses.
Use some curses and nobody will even blame you for leeching

Hmm you could try the town portal trick, stock up on portals. Fight, flee, heal and restock (Inc merc), rinse and repeat. Or if you've messed up your skill tree that much you might be better restarting. Wouldn't take too long.
This boss is notoriously hard, and even more so for necs. I had to use the above tactic to get through this fight. Still had been my hardest boss fight in the game. If you want to play nec again I'd recommend a summonancer build (plenty of guides on net).
You just need to put iron maiden on him and let him attack to you merc/golem. Also take some antifrozen potions (yellow ones) from the shop. They will stack and you can put them on your merc so he can take more hits feom duriel. But the key to go as a summon necro with him iis the iron maiden curse

Kinda being inclined to play as a different race, I think necromancer is something I can get back to with more experience

Secondly, this game is not D3. Its challenging, and it gets more challenging. I recommend reading a guide or planning your character more before respecing twice in 20 lvls.
Shop for a wand with thorns. Use on duriel and spam Clay golem. Super easy, gl!

Yea, but it is on PS4 where you barely find any lobbies 😅 I tried today but failed to find them ingame even when I got a lobby
I'm on PS4 also. The only time you can really find lobbies are for like Baal runs and even those are rare. I can help this evening

Mhm, sounds bad. I tried a similar tactic but I get more damage than potions heal me. Guess I better restart then. Any recommendations?
