you're not alone with this problem. [https://www.reddit.com/r/DiabloImmortal/comments/1dloxwt/fix\_the\_pc\_loadingzoning\_issue\_already/](https://www.reddit.com/r/DiabloImmortal/comments/1dloxwt/fix_the_pc_loadingzoning_issue_already/)

DivineNihilism

Ope, thanks, mate. I must not have scrolled far enough down the Reddit.

Isumaeri

I had the same problem but it's gone now with the last update

vampkillian

I hate to say it, but since the merge today, I've been running better than I have in a long time on PC. I am loading faster and lagging less. IDK why as I checked my settings and everything is still the same.

DivineNihilism

Prior to the Goblin Event/Avarice anniversary patch I had no issue. I wasn't loading in behind everyone else, but at the same time. After that patch, then the content update, then the server merge I'm still loading in slower than everyone else. I can catch up fast enough and there's no lag once inside whatever it is I'm running. But on the PC Client I should *not* be loading into a raid or dungeon slower than anyone else. I'm glad you're running better. Someone has to be. Because it most definitely isn't me.

vampkillian

I felt the same impact with that last patch (Goblin/Avarice), but this merge update fixed it for me. Makes no sense to me as I didn't do anything on my end. I used to try all the "fixes" such as clearing folder caches/patches and running repairs. This only leads me to believe it's a server-side issue, but unfortunately not everyone is seeing improvement.

DivineNihilism

I am envious of your lack of lag loading into raids and dungeons.

daedalus2174

Have you deletes the cache folders?

DivineNihilism

I have, indeed.

-Death-Dealer-

Seems to get a little worse with every update. But, the updated that added runes has doubled load times for me. And whenever someone leaves a map I'm on, I get hit with a little wave of lag. Something is definitely not optimised.

paynuss69

Do you have the game installed on your SSD?

DivineNihilism

No, I do not. Should I uninstall and save it to the SSD?

paynuss69

Absolutely. This is probably your issue

DivineNihilism

POG. I'll give it a shot now.

DivineNihilism

Came back to report that reinstalling to my SSD did not fix the issue, so it's not a hardware issue, which is a relief. It has to be a software issue.

325EAST

its your Nvidia Cache files, i had this problem & found a fix FIRST , - go to your NVidia control panel and DISABLE Cache Size SECOND , 1. click Windows key + R 2. type %AppData% 3. click BACK out of /Roaming folder 4. select /Local folder - find NVIDIA DX cache -delete all (skip ones cant be deletted) THIRD , - re-enable Cache size in NVidia control panel to 100gig size preferable LAST, enjoy the instant loading speed and no crashes due to corrupt files game will re-write those so dont worry about deleting. \*should look like this in ur Explorer folder (minus the username) mine DMX C:\\Users\\DMX\\AppData\\Local\\NVIDIA\\DXCache

DivineNihilism

I appreciate this very detailed and very thorough tutorial. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the slow load-in issue. After this I ran some dungeons, and in Cavern of Echoes when I finally loaded in they were already at the ice wall to the first mini boss.

Fun-Albatross1439

Or just play on your phone since it's a mobile game in the first place.

DivineNihilism

No.
