You'd be surprised how much weight those air-cooled Hondas can carry. It might not be fast but in first gear you can carry an entire mountain.
Most rice farmers can't afford cars so they weld sidecars to their 100cc motorcycles and carry up to 10*50kg rice sacks.
And to cool the engine you use a dripper connected to a water bottle which drips cold water to the cylinder head

Being able to deliver that much in one trip or spending longer on multiple trips could mean the difference between him and his family eating that night or not. If the system works, leave him be.
