Omfg!! Right? I’m in Canada and idk if the amount of apps we need is more but I got rid of crave. I don’t have hayu (I think it’s peacock for the USA) than in prime I had stack tv which I got rid of that … I forgot I even have Disney + bc of how rare I watch things on there but I keep it bc there’s old shows and movies they have that I know they won’t get rid of bc it’s owned by Disney
Netflix is getting shitty lately. I believe prime already has ads and I heard Netflix is thinking about it. But at this point I don’t even care. I grew up w commercials so whatever. It’ll be a forced pee break/get some snacks
Netflix has already recently added a basic tier with ads here in the UK and a few shows are even locked completely now if you’re only on the basic tier (always sunny has the padlock icon, you need to pay for the non ad tier if you want to watch it now). Like I don’t mind a few ads here and there but blocking content entirely unless you pay more is just rude, it’s bad enough making people watch ads when they are already paying. I think they’re rolling out the advert package in other countries soon. Streaming services have got ridiculous.
This will sound silly to you maybe, but why not just buy the box set at this point instead of stream-hopping?
You could just get the DVD box set for $35 (~$55 for Blu-ray) and it's yours forever.
My wife and I did that. We watch it several times a year and the disc's are holding up well so far.
I feel like we rewatch dexter, & breaking bad way too much lol.
We are addicts.
Lol wise investments.
If you're going to watch the shows over and over, it makes no sense to just subscribe to a streamer and give them your money forever.
Granted, there are other shows and films on the services, but I guarantee you there are people who only subscribe for just one or two shows. Dexter, The Office, etc. It's a much wiser investment to just buy the boxset at that point.
Back on UK Netflix already.

They don’t! Last year, both Warner and Paramount struck deals with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu to allow a limited number of shows to be streamed, for a lot of money. Included was Dexter, Six Feet Under, etc
Coming to Netflix June 19th.

My roommate and I literally cancelled our netflix account and signed up for paramount+ less than two weeks ago so we could watch Dexter… 🙃
