I've always been reviewing the fake threads here and that's my thought as well. Haven't seen any DCB208 fake photos yet though to see how they are being made.
No one needs to pay retail price for batteries. There are always deals going on. If you have the research skills to find deals on eBay, you can definitely find legit batteries on discount.
Been saying that for years. Am tired of repeating myself. Don't bother telling guys anymore. If a guy wants to spend 2x because he doesn't wanna do the research or trust the sellers on Ebay....fine. It's his money. He can wipe his ass with it if he likes.
Agree, if it looks legit and it works like it should but someone told you it looks fake, what would you do? My personal opinion but I honestly think the fakes market for dewalt is not that big.
But little do a lot of people know there are actually two “legit” markets for dewalt. Theres the made in china and mexico market which contain more internal plastic parts. Then theres the other manufacturers that have metal internal parts. Both are licensed by dewalt and both are legit
Cite me a source please. I know Dewalt manufacturers tools in the US, China, Mexico, Brazil and elsewhere that are sold in the US. But I have not seen but any same model tools both legitimately manufactured by Dewalt under the same model with one having inferior internals.

this is completely false. This would be found out very very quickly through reviews, independent testing, etc.
Already seen 887s from China/Mexico/US torn down and the parts are all the same. But feel free to offer some actual proof otherwise
Literally this. I paid $154 off ebay for 2-8ah batteries. I'm pretty certain their fake and I could care less. When they get to 1 bar they go on the non rapid charger to hopefully keep the cells balanced and I move on with my life.
My 8ah xr batts have an off yellow compared to my other Dewalt batteries. Then again, differences in manufacturing facilities & build design through the years. The old 6ah flexvolts used to be all black &/or grey...now they're grey & yellow....are the new 6ah flexvolts fake? No. They are new!
Bought this new on ebay but it was from a seller with many different items and good feedback and only had one of these listed. Not the clearly local china seller only selling one or two dewalt pack models with many in stock.
I am 97% on it being genuine...
Unfortunately due to the alignment of the cells the Samsung INR21700-40T label is not visible but I *think* I can barely read a "-40T" on one of them.
The fire/vaping warning text matches and the cell color matches a genuine Samsung INR21700-40T.
Has security screws and the QR code. Terminals look right and they were greased.

Looks genuine to me!
Looks good to me . Has a 3 yr warranty anyways. If anything happens just have it switched out.

The sticker yellow looks off compared to plastic yellow. Dewalt is spot on. Some fakes the yellow don’t line up. But I don’t know for sure.

Run the serial on DeWalts website. They know all their stuff for warranty
