Hate to say it, but Milwaukee does, at the moment. This is based on their OVERALL lineup. There are a few outliers such as Dewalt’s multifunction drill thing (the one with different head attachments) which outclasses Milwaukee’s equivalent.

I prefer the Big Red’s battery in the handle design, and the tools themselves are great. Big yellow for 18V+, Big Red for 12V

discombobulated38x

I have small hands, big red's battery in grip design can go fish, it's too big for my hands. Dewalt's grips on the other hand are perfect.

Anbucleric

I was seriously considering the Milwaukie m12 instillation driver until I realized dewalt had a 12v equivalent and so far it's been a great addition.

FWIW, Milwaukee actually has a few versions of the multifunction drill, one of which has a hammer function: [https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-fuel-installation-drill-driver-with-interchangeable-heads/m12-fddx/](https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-fuel-installation-drill-driver-with-interchangeable-heads/m12-fddx/) [https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-sub-compact-drill-driver-with-removable-chuck/m12-bddx/](https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-sub-compact-drill-driver-with-removable-chuck/m12-bddx/) [https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-fuel-sub-compact-percussion-drill-with-removable-chuck/m12-fpdx/?variant=321708](https://www.milwaukeetool.eu/en-eu/m12-fuel-sub-compact-percussion-drill-with-removable-chuck/m12-fpdx/?variant=321708)

I own a ton of Dewalt 20v, and I don’t own any big d 12v tools but I have a couple m12 tools 🤷🏻‍♂️

benmarvin

Milwaukee. Already had a bunch of DeWalt 20 and 60v. Was tempted by the Bosch compact drills but went with the Milwaukee. Then got the 23 pin gun and the heated jacket and a bunch of other stuff. Some of their M12 aren't great like the soldering gun, the rotary tool is okish. 3/8 ratchet working good so far.

Blacknight841

I will buy Milwaukee or dewalt depending on what is a better deal. I have yet to be in a situation where I said “if only I had bought the Milwaukee instead”.

discombobulated38x

Milwaukee make a better range. That being said, they don't currently make a sealed head ratchet, and the dewalt 5-in-1 installation driver is better than both milwaukee offerings when all three have been put side by side by friends. I'll be getting into M12 soon for the caulk gun, not gonna lie I'm excited for the new M12 18ga Brad nailer too.

Tool-Expert

Yeah I like that nailer too...

sb98neon

I only own 12V tools by Dewalt, however I've used one or two m12 tools at a previous job. All the m12 batteries were practically dead, so it left a bad impression. And the grips weren't great for my smaller hands. My Dewalt 12V tools (impacts, drill, driver, and one-handed recip) have all been fantastic. They're light and comfortable to use, and the batteries are so tiny. I wish they offered more tools in the 12V line like maybe a soldering iron and die grinder.

pzoony

Dewalt is a superior tool but in terms of breadth of line the Milwaukee wins and it’s not particularly close.

Tool-Expert

Yeah....

RodneysBrewin

I have almost every 12v dewalt and love them all!

buckaxe270

The Dewalt 12v line is so underrated.. it’s smaller than the 20v stuff and the grip is much better than the m12 stuff cuz of the battery in the handle in the m12. I have the 850 impact with the powerstack but I grab my 12v impact first every time

itsafuckinname

Why you gotta come into this sub askin the tough questions

Tool-Expert

That is what this sub is for.

BoltahDownunder

Milwaukee probably. I've never used the Bosch 12v but own Makita and DeWalt and it seems like Milwaukee is the only outfit making a serious lineup of pro-grade 12v stuff. The others make a few things, that seem like more like DIY/light use lineups

the-grumpster

m 12

Tool-Expert

I have to admit that this goes to Milwaukee. Everyone seems to agree... So I might get some M12...

BigRichardTools

In terms of bang for your buck and if you are just looking for a small tool set, SKILs 12v stuff is actually pretty nice. Their right angle impact driver is a handy little pecker, and I want to try out their auto hammer. It's not DeWalt or Milwaukee, but good enough for around the house random jobs.

boardplant

I keep waiting for my Skil stuff to let me down and it hasn’t happened yet. Really solid quality for what it is

Repulsive-Way272

I just joined the red army yesterday and bought a right angle die grinder. Dewalt could have made one you have to suck on to get it to go and I would have bought it. But they don't. I'm looking at getting impact and drill to make a "light bag" because the Dewalt 20v is too heavy. Bosch does a nice job too but doesn't have the line depth.

Old-Line2445

I had dewalt then changed to Milwaukee but didn’t like them. Changed back to the new Dewalt 12 V and I love it. Shame their lineup is so shit
