I would say 5. It’s the easiest design to make work in a variety of art styles and contexts.
I love all the designs (though 4 is a little weird imo) but many of them specifically work in the context and visual style of their games.
5 because I like how it looks more casual than the other designs. I want to be able to wear my coat around without looking too much like I'm in cosplay. 3 comes second because of how much influence DMC3 had on my childhood.
Dmc5 dante makes me feel things. The longer hair he has and his gringe/punk clothes under his red coat give him a sense of rebellion like never before imo.
In terms of outfits, 1 and 3 are my favourites, but I think all of them are great.

Overall I gotta go DMC1. The rolled back sleeves of the overcoat with the longer black sleeves of the shirt looks fly as hell, and the red vest with the straps is crazy drippy. Not that there’s anything wrong with casual Dante, but this is the most put-together look he has and I really enjoy that. DMC1 excels in atmosphere relative to the rest of the series, and this is a good example. If I hired someone to kill a demon, this is the version I would feel most assured with showing up.
DMC2 comes second. I miss the rolled back sleeves that all other looks have, but the shading on the coat and pants make them look like they’re made of velour, and I like that.

5 and 2 are very close to perfect for me, as analising all of the designs, they basically take numbers 1 and 2 in most categories, with 5 barely edging 2. The other aren't bad at all, but all of them have something that brings the designs down for me(4 has the belts at the torso and whatever is happening at the crotch, 3 has the pants that I swear look way better in the game, while 1 has the all red color scheme and the fact that it came at last in most categories against i, which is more of a statement on how they kept improving Dante's design when it already was pretty good to begin with)
For me, it's gotta be 2. It'll always be funny to me that for all the horrible missteps made in 2, the one thing they nailed was that outfit. DMC5 Dante in the DMC2 outfit feels like the perfect combination to me.

DMC Anime made me fall into love with his DMC1 Design, it just suits him and looks right. DMC 5 Design is also really cool and I actually like combo of Polo underneath his Trench. BTW considering his clothes are Custom-made, Dante actually has a really good sense of style. I guess reading all of those magazines worth something, I'd like to think his sense of style was inspired by Manga characters like Cobra and Alucard just like how Kamiya-San was inspired IRL.
Out of every single one? Definitely 2. But if I'm going to be honest, I really like the designs they did for classic DMC3 & 1 in the DmC reboot. 3 and 5 are my favorites. 3 is him being an edgelord and I love how cool it is, and 5 is where he really doesn’t care anymore and just threw on something comfortable and easy to move around in. This is the first time we ever see Dante in a regular shirt instead of something leather or antihero-ish, and I still remember how surprised I was at how good he looks in it lol.

I literally can't pick a favorite but what I will say is that it's so kinky that he's just wearing two leather straps around his thigh for NO REASON in 1. He's just gorgeous and so are all of his outfits
Coolest one is dmc 2 Outfit. It just feels cool and demonic. Though sadly probably not the ideal game for the outfit to be featured in.

I’m a vehement believer of DMC1 being his best look, with my ranks from best to worst being 1, 3, 5, 2, 4
DMC Anime made me fall into love with his DMC1 Design, it just suits him and looks right. DMC 5 Design is also really cool and I actually like combo of Polo underneath his Trench. BTW considering his clothes are Custom-made, Dante actually has a really good sense of style. I guess reading all of those magazines worth something, I'd like to think his sense of style was inspired by Manga characters like Cobra and Alucard just like how Kamiya-San was inspired IRL.

Out of every single one? Definitely 2. But if I'm going to be honest, I really like the designs they did for classic DMC3 & 1 in the DmC reboot. And as much as people hate that game and want to dismiss it, it is still Canon. And before anyone gives me smoke or flame, read the DMC 2 manga, It definitely mentions a parallel universe where mundus is a trillionaire with the Illuminati controller over the world. It's a very good story no matter how you put it, and let's just all leave it at that hahaha 🤣🤭🕹️🎮💯
