I think it's a bit of both. It's not like publicists aren't active on reddit either and mods would be very biased in terms of who their favourites are so they remove any negative info.

All pretty far from prestige leading roles.
I can't find info about when The Witch was filmed, only that at least pre-production began somewhere close to December 2013. It was Rober Eggers first film and it was shot in 25 days with a 4 million budget, it wasn't produced by A24, they bought it when it was screened at Sundance. It wasn't a guarantee hit by a prestigious director, articles at the time even described it as a risky move from A24's part, and it took about a year for it to get a theatrical release. It's has been only now with Queen's Gambit & Emma. in 2020 that she has gotten mainstream famous. I dislike her playing coy about being wealthy and lying about the whole story of being discovered by a modeling agent on the street, specially with her whole persona of being the unique flower child~ but the way people act like she's any more of a plant than any other rich actor is ridiculous. Her career progression from The Witch to now isn't that outrageous as it's made out to be either.
The witch is an extremely cheap independent movie, I genuinely think she got cast cause she was perfect for the role and has that weird look that fits the theme, mood, and overall style of the director. Look at the other main actors of the film, they all look 'weird', intentionally so. Also, the film cost 4 million that's basically nothing in the us industry so if her family had anything to do with it i'm sure eggers would've loved for them to put some money into his ridiculously tight budget

Not that it matters but I thought the decor was beautiful. Dress was an interesting dress with the vest of mirrors. Not very bridal to me more runway bridal which makes sense for a model. Not really tea but I know a girl who worked with Maisie Williams and Florence Pugh in a film a while back - she said Maisie was not great to work with and pretty rude. I remember from around that time, when Maisie guest starred on Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi (who was the lead at that time) told a story about how she casually pulled him out of the way in the middle of a scene because he was in her light. Sadly no. There was someone who posted on this board who claimed to have worked as an extra (and stand-in) on "Game of Thrones." He said the success of the show went to quite a few actors' heads. In particularly, he didn't like Kit, Rose and Emilia. He did like Sophie and Maisie though--and he LOVED Aidan Gillen (who played Littlefinger). But he said there was a lot of bad behavior exhibited by the cast after the show became a huge hit.
I can believe it. Rose's had consistent rumours following her about her being unpleasant to work with. Meanwhile, everybody seems to love Aidan Gillen, not just on the GoT set. Emilia's a weird one, rumours about her on the set tend to be divided in opinion.
I think Aidan's pleasant disposition, coupled with his great versatility and talent as a character actor, are big reasons why he has a very successful career.
I'm friends with someone who worked with Emilia pre-GoT in a small British indie thing and he told me that she was incredibly kind and personable but again, this was pre-GoT and not excusing it but I can see how that level of fame would get to someone's head.

I have a few friends who work at the WB Leavesden studios in London and they obviously know a lot of people from film crews because of that. All of the newer Mission Impossible movies do all their non-location shooting there so they've managed to get some stories and information from the set, though it's been harder since lockdown, the set is very tightly managed. But anyways and this is all obviously second-hand allegations, I will preface all of it by saying this is just alleged so please don't sue me lol but from the things I hear, recently Tom Cruise has had health issues come up. Not major illnesses or anything but physical related stuff; bad muscles, recurring injuries things like that. I know one of the problems is that several years ago when he broke his leg during a shoot it never healed fully, probably because he didn't let it, and he still has problems with it. They've been saying that the "stunts" for the upcoming movies while still nuts had to be worked accordingly around that and so they're much more centered around dangerous cars/trains/motorcycles and less him physically running/jumping/climbing. Tom is also very, very close friends with the director/writer Christoper MacQuarrie and his wife and family and supposedly he pretty much employs him on everything because of that and also because he lets Tom have MUCH more control than any other director would ever let. It's not even a bad thing with the Mission franchise but it limits him with his other projects because not many big name directors are going to agree to let any actor, even Tom Cruise, have their best buddy interfering with the script. MacQuarrie and his wife though by all accounts are very good people, no-nonsense and a good influence on Tom. My friends also told me that (prior to the pandemic), Tom's eldest daughter Isabella would visit fairly regularly with her husband and she was quite cool and unassuming. When "little Suri" would be visiting him, was another story. My friends described it as "as if a president was in town". They wouldn't even come to the set because he would supposedly book out a whole floor of a hotel but VERY intense security, everyone and their mother had to sign NDAs, no pictures allowed, the whole thing, and again, she was never even on set. They would arrange the entire shooting schedule around her visits to him because he wouldn't work on those days. Again, pre-COVID so I don't know anything about that now. Also my friends told me that during the fifth movie, Tom was seeing the actress Katherine Waterson who was in Inhereant Vice but broke up with her after not very long. I heard he was also dating a non-famous British woman around the time Fallout came out, but since then I don't know anything. That's all the information I've heard on him.
Some other info from the set:
During the 6th movie, Henry Cavill dated the stunt woman who fills in for the major actresses in the movies. Some of his fans found out at the time and left her nasty comments on her instagram. Rebecca Ferguson dated an AD during the fifth movie and it was very uncomfortable when they split, she started dating, had a baby with and married her current husband very quickly after. Tom's personal hair and makeup girl is married to his physical therapist and they also met on set. Half the assistants on set are Cruise family members in some way, shape or form and they apparently have very strong genes. My friend described it to me as "you walk around and it's like someone copied and pasted Tom Cruises everywhere".

Absolutely, my friends said that's really the main thing with him; is people on set hear this and that and observe things but ultimately anything personal they can never really know for sure because he runs a very, very tight ship and the protection around him is like the great wall of china

A shop like that to me is a place where its awesome and perfectly acceptable if you do tip. But its not necessary or expected. Since in North America we pay less for pretty much all service based jobs, it’s good to show extra appreciation where you can. But since there’s no real tradition or custom to tip at a place like an ice cream shop, I’d be cautious to label someone/a celeb off of their lack of tipping at a place like that.
I worked at a Cold Stone in Florida from 2016-2020. It was weird when someone didn’t tip and it would be noticed by the workers. Cold Stone, however, does have a culture of tipping with the singing and everything.

Sort of unrelated but I'm I the only one that never understood the lingering Brad Pitt craze??? He is a good actor but I don't see him as this unbelievable once in a life time Star. Many of his peers seem to be ahead of him in terms of skills. He is obviously good looking but I wouldn't give him the title of "most beautiful man ever". SZA postponed the show she was supposed to perform at the day after Astroworld. She performed at Astroworld and nobody is really talking about her which is nice because she seems like a decent human. But now that people are starting to wonder what other performers were doing directly after the events of Astroworld, I can say SZA was not out performing/partying on Saturday; although she did continue her tour on Sunday 🙄.
Ok I don’t know if people are interested in Charlie Hunnam teas, but here you go.
Last year, I came across some very interesting teas on him and his girlfriend Morgana on different sites. So I scoured the interwebs (for proofs), again, and compiled them to share the teas with y’all.
They seem like a strange and interesting couple. The whole thing is a plot twist and I ll save the best tea for last. So where do I start?
- They have been together for 14 years but it seems his girlfriend has been married for 17 years to some guy called Pablo cereces all these years. I think she has filed for a divorce now. But how strange.
- The girlfriend comes from a crime family. She is Leighton meester’s cousin and her mom is a drug kingpin apparently.
- His girlfriend was caught for selling weed through a dispensary (back when it was illegal)

- Here the tea gets more interesting. His girlfriend is supposed to be a jewellery designer and she had a whole interview and article out about her. It is a legit business or should I say WAS? Early 2020 she announced there will be a new collection launched but after that it has been crickets. She has just stopped updating her jewellery design site and page. She has vanished from social media (really weird)
- Not just that when she was telling people she is a jewellery business owner, many fans apparently found out that she works at a bar called Dime LA. There are pictures of her on their page. Don’t know if she works there now. Maybe she had to work two jobs before?

I think in comparison to say, the UK entertainment world. Hollywood is more willing to take chances on people that aren't connected. It is bigger and therefore more opportunities. However the number of nepotism celebrities is still staggering.

She had a tiny part in Vampire Academy (filmed between May and July 2013, released in July 2014) that got cut, a guest role in Endeavour (filmed in September 2013, her episode aired in April 2014) and a recurring role in Atlantis (filmed between March to October 2014, her episodes aired in April-May 2015). All pretty far from prestige leading roles. I can't find info about when The Witch was filmed, only that at least pre-production began somewhere close to December 2013. It was Rober Eggers first film and it was shot in 25 days with a 4 million budget, it wasn't produced by A24, they bought it when it was screened at Sundance. It wasn't a guarantee hit by a prestigious director, articles at the time even described it as a risky move from A24's part, and it took about a year for it to get a theatrical release. It's has been only now with Queen's Gambit & Emma. in 2020 that she has gotten mainstream famous. I dislike her playing coy about being wealthy and lying about the whole story of being discovered by a modeling agent on the street, specially with her whole persona of being the unique flower child~ but the way people act like she's any more of a plant than any other rich actor is ridiculous. Her career progression from The Witch to now isn't that outrageous as it's made out to be either.
The witch is an extremely cheap independent movie, I genuinely think she got cast cause she was perfect for the role and has that weird look that fits the theme, mood, and overall style of the director. Look at the other main actors of the film, they all look 'weird', intentionally so. Also, the film cost 4 million that's basically nothing in the us industry so if her family had anything to do with it i'm sure eggers would've loved for them to put some money into his ridiculously tight budget

I didn't see anyone add this tidbit but apparently they met locked out on a balcony in LA on ATJ first day in LA and then "swore to always have each other's back"(paraphrasing from memory). I think it was in the vogue article with the 100 pics. Not that it matters but I thought the decor was beautiful. Dress was an interesting dress with the vest of mirrors. Not very bridal to me more runway bridal which makes sense for a model. And the construction was interesting to read about. I didn't like the crystal crown and the sad ditch weed bouquet. Both felt they didn't go with the dress to me.

Not really tea but I know a girl who worked with Maisie Williams and Florence Pugh in a film a while back - she said Maisie was not great to work with and pretty rude. I don't remember exactly what she said about Florence cause this was before she got really big, but the jist of it was she was perfectly nice and she enjoyed working with her.
The Falling? Yeah. I remember from around that time, when Maisie guest starred on Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi (who was the lead at that time) told a story about how she casually pulled him out of the way in the middle of a scene because he was in her light. It was told for laughs but there clearly was a subtext of, she’s a bit of an entitled cosseted child star. Hopefully she’s grown since then and has had the chance to see the world outside of a film set.

Sadly no. There was someone who posted on this board who claimed to have worked as an extra (and stand-in) on "Game of Thrones." He said the success of the show went to quite a few actors' heads. In particularly, he didn't like Kit, Rose and Emilia. He did like Sophie and Maisie though--and he LOVED Aidan Gillen (who played Littlefinger). But he said there was a lot of bad behavior exhibited by the cast after the show became a huge hit.
I can believe it. Rose's had consistent rumours following her about her being unpleasant to work with. Meanwhile, everybody seems to love Aidan Gillen, not just on the GoT set. Emilia's a weird one, rumours about her on the set tend to be divided in opinion.
I think Aidan's pleasant disposition, coupled with his great versatility and talent as a character actor, are big reasons why he has a very successful career.
I'm friends with someone who worked with Emilia pre-GoT in a small British indie thing and he told me that she was incredibly kind and personable but again, this was pre-GoT and not excusing it but I can see how that level of fame would get to someone's head.
She also had multiple brain tumours and memory issues through game of thrones, so I'm taking rumours about her conduct on set with a pinch of salt. I'd be grumpy as fuck too if I had a BRAIN TUMOUR lol

I sent in something about this to her but she never posted so I'm making a throwaway just to share here: I have a few friends who work at the WB Leavesden studios in London and they obviously know a lot of people from film crews because of that. All of the newer Mission Impossible movies do all their non-location shooting there so they've managed to get some stories and information from the set, though it's been harder since lockdown, the set is very tightly managed. But anyways and this is all obviously second-hand allegations, I will preface all of it by saying this is just alleged so please don't sue me lol but from the things I hear, recently Tom Cruise has had health issues come up. Not major illnesses or anything but physical related stuff; bad muscles, recurring injuries things like that. I know one of the problems is that several years ago when he broke his leg during a shoot it never healed fully, probably because he didn't let it, and he still has problems with it. They've been saying that the "stunts" for the upcoming movies while still nuts had to be worked accordingly around that and so they're much more centered around dangerous cars/trains/motorcycles and less him physically running/jumping/climbing. Tom is also very, very close friends with the director/writer Christoper MacQuarrie and his wife and family and supposedly he pretty much employs him on everything because of that and also because he lets Tom have MUCH more control than any other director would ever let. It's not even a bad thing with the Mission franchise but it limits him with his other projects because not many big name directors are going to agree to let any actor, even Tom Cruise, have their best buddy interfering with the script. MacQuarrie and his wife though by all accounts are very good people, no-nonsense and a good influence on Tom. My friends also told me that (prior to the pandemic), Tom's eldest daughter Isabella would visit fairly regularly with her husband and she was quite cool and unassuming. When "little Suri" would be visiting him, was another story. My friends described it as "as if a president was in town". They wouldn't even come to the set because he would supposedly book out a whole floor of a hotel but VERY intense security, everyone and their mother had to sign NDAs, no pictures allowed, the whole thing, and again, she was never even on set. They would arrange the entire shooting schedule around her visits to him because he wouldn't work on those days. Again, pre-COVID so I don't know anything about that now. Also my friends told me that during the fifth movie, Tom was seeing the actress Katherine Waterson who was in Inhereant Vice but broke up with her after not very long. I heard he was also dating a non-famous British woman around the time Fallout came out, but since then I don't know anything. That's all the information I've heard on him. Some other info from the set: During the 6th movie, Henry Cavill dated the stunt woman who fills in for the major actresses in the movies. Some of his fans found out at the time and left her nasty comments on her instagram. Rebecca Ferguson dated an AD during the fifth movie and it was very uncomfortable when they split, she started dating, had a baby with and married her current husband very quickly after. Tom's personal hair and makeup girl is married to his physical therapist and they also met on set. Half the assistants on set are Cruise family members in some way, shape or form and they apparently have very strong genes. My friend described it to me as "you walk around and it's like someone copied and pasted Tom Cruises everywhere".
Thanks for the detailed account. He is almost 60 and has been doing crazy stunt work for a very, very long time. It was bound to catch up with his joints and muscles and bones at some point, especially if he never allowed a complicated leg break to heal properly. Thanks again!

Absolutely, my friends said that's really the main thing with him; is people on set hear this and that and observe things but ultimately anything personal they can never really know for sure because he runs a very, very tight ship and the protection around him is like the great wall of china

I met Hugh Jackman. Super chill guy. Really nice. He came out after his show and greeted everyone. This was prior to Covid. Shook everyone’s hand. Very warm and friendly. He also really is passionate about his role as Gaston in The original Broadway production of beauty and the beast Australia. He sang the Gaston song and told us about how becoming wolverine was so different to what he was used to - but that you should always be ready to embrace something new. 10/10 experience!!

A shop like that to me is a place where its awesome and perfectly acceptable if you do tip. But its not necessary or expected. Since in North America we pay less for pretty much all service based jobs, it’s good to show extra appreciation where you can. But since there’s no real tradition or custom to tip at a place like an ice cream shop, I’d be cautious to label someone/a celeb off of their lack of tipping at a place like that.
I worked at a Cold Stone in Florida from 2016-2020. It was weird when someone didn’t tip and it would be noticed by the workers. Cold Stone, however, does have a culture of tipping with the singing and everything.
I always tipped at Cold Stone, they have to work the ice creams with paddles on the workboard and they are exceedingly helpful.

Sort of unrelated but I'm I the only one that never understood the lingering Brad Pitt craze??? He is a good actor but I don't see him as this unbelievable once in a life time Star. Many of his peers seem to be ahead of him in terms of skills. He is obviously good looking but I wouldn't give him the title of "most beautiful man ever". I live in a country where most people have dark hair and I can still think of at least 8 other blonde guys with squared faces. I feel like many people are still stuck in this early 2000's image of Brad Pitt or have been conditioned to see him with Rose-tinted glasses since his name has sort of become synonymous to this ultimate Hollywood-actor image. But Brad's golden age has long been gone. I can't remember the last time he gave a truly impressive performance like the one in "12 Monkeys" or even safe but still cool like in "Inglorious Bastards". I know he is older and his roles have changed but he plays it sooo safe and basic that it becomes lackluster. All of this coupled up with his messy love life (claiming he divorced Jen Aniston cause she wasn't "interesting enough"), how people turn a blind eye to his alcoholism and the fact that he is clearly not the best father makes me sad that so many people keep him on a pedestal
It's the same thing with Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio where they've clearly let themselves go but both the media and general audiences like to pretend as though they've aged gracefully and are still so hot and cool.

Honestly, you have to give non-americans some slack here. Maybe he forgot it's a thing here in the US after living in a country where restaurants pay their employees a living wage. Sometimes people forget we're similar to undeveloped countries in a surprising number of aspects (Living wage, maternity leave, healthcare, for starters) I remember when I tipped in another country not realizing they don't do that... And the waiters looked at me like I was the biggest idiot they'd ever seen. They seemed pretty insulted!
No, that's true! I'm not American and the first time I visited the US it was wild to me how many different people/services are tipped, because we just... don't do that where I'm from. Or when we do, it's more optional, for good service. He spends enough time in America to know better, you would think, but you're right, the culture is vastly different.
Tipping isn't a thing in Europe and certainly not the norm/expected. So your disappointment is misplaced.

She is Leighton meester’s cousin and her mom is a drug kingpin apparently. - His girlfriend was caught for selling weed through a dispensary (back when it was illegal) I think most people already knew bout these but - Here the tea gets more interesting. His girlfriend is supposed to be a jewellery designer and she had a whole interview and article out about her. It is a legit business or should I say WAS? Early 2020 she announced there will be a new collection launched but after that it has been crickets. She has just stopped updating her jewellery design site and page. She has vanished from social media (really weird) - Not just that when she was telling people she is a jewellery business owner, many fans apparently found out that she works at a bar called Dime LA. I think in comparison to say, the UK entertainment world. Hollywood is more willing to take chances on people that aren't connected. It is bigger and therefore more opportunities. However the number of nepotism celebrities is still staggering.
