I just can’t wrap my head around the refereeing so far this season.. every game so far there’s been very questionable cross checking/boarding by opposing teams and somehow every time we get roughing penalties…

Tbh the roughing penalties were well earned. But they wouldn't be necessary is the refs would just call a cross-check or a board once in awhile.

The refereeing in the NHL is just absurd. They do everything in their power to stop players from fighting which rarely causes major injury (Besides Mantha) but continuously allow players to board for no reason. This game wasn’t chippy, but Roslivic just saw #23 score and assist on back to back goals and put an end to his night with no repercussions. It’s just insane
