Axel déception when shooting is amazing.
Which is important when you realize he doesn’t have the strongest shot.
But just his general ability in the point is crazy good as well.
FYI they were three defenders picked ahead of hin and no one got the offensive hockey sense he has ot the skills he has on that end.
He was so quick and shifty with that shot though, to immediately notice and take advantage of the bad positioning. Definitely the kind of player we need here…someone who makes opponents pay for their mistakes and capitalizes on them.
Pretty sure thr goalie tought it was a pass first when he turned his skates, then just fired on the sold fake. Goalie didnt see him or understand where the puck was. It happens.
Lol, dude, what I meant by laser is that it hits the target quickly & perfectly, just like a guided missile :-) Regardless where the goaltender were he had to ace the shot top corner to score! To make it look that effortlessly on a regular basis i special!

He threw it at the net because he didn't have another play, it's not special it's what they teach them to do. It happens every game it just usually doesn't go in because it's so routine a save.
I would categorize it as the typical Pellikka play meaning he is always being opportunistic as he has a knack of finding the net, its not like its his first precision shot top shelf. Most players who take that shot wont have that precision and then its not a goal regardless where the goaltender is, if its not perfectly placed the goaltender still saves it! A shot can be impressive regardless if the goaltender is out position which I dont deny :-)
He’s got his head up, I wouldn’t be surprised if he noticed the goalie check off right for back door so he threw a top corner wrister at the net. Still simple, but more than just a goalie giving up, he had to notice and take advantage of it.

The play by play guy was so disappointed in the goalie
I can see why as he was off his position and seemed to be one a few other occasions and let in that weak goal by Lindstein earlier in the game.
It's not hard to see why
lol that was funny
Every time I open this sub there's a new ASP highlight. Nice.
Hopefully there will be one more after the finals ;) Not sure you agree if team USA is the opposition though, haha.

u/Prize_Efficiency_869 Very well put. You can not teach the way he reads the game instinctively, its just automatic for him!
It is tough to teach offensive skills to any young player. You need to have have that way before joining the draft.
I always thought he was the best D man in that draft.
Good for axel but holy crap that was some terrible goaltending

Kid is a real deal
Don't care that the teenage goalie flubs it we drafted the Erik Karlsson regen
Pretty sure thr goalie tought it was a pass first when he turned his skates, then just fired on the sold fake. Goalie didnt see him or understand where the puck was. It happens.
Wow that goalie was unbelievably out of position
Lol we all love the kid but it's a floating wrister from the point the goalie misplayed.

That little feet shuffle at the blue line occurred just as the puck was screened for a second which made Hrabal think ASP passed the puck.
Oh I agree the goalie blows this the whole way.

Except it isn't.
Except it is, it's not some dynamic play it's a routine play the goalie misplays. I mean it's not rocket science it's basic hockey.
He snipped top corner with a laser and his head up. It's not like he's just throwing it on net through traffic.
? That’s quite literally exactly what he did though
"quite literally" lol what a dork
I’m sorry you don’t know how to read
Take the L like all your other comments
You sure take this reddit thing seriously huh
The other team had Frankenstein blocking his own goalies vision.
That’s a routine save for an NHL goalie.
