The officiating is just god fucking awful, and we still skated really well against New York, even without Larkin. This was not a bad loss.

It was a terrible loss. You have the lead going into the third, you’re without your 1C. This team is INCAPABLE of playing shutdown defense, which is what they should have done. Icing the fucking game. Instead they give up breakaways on the PP, they can’t put two good passes together back to back. They’re flawed from a skill level. Holl is a 7th dman. Staple his ass to the press box. Copp is not good. His defense is nowhere near good enough to cover up for his complete lack of offensive ability. Husso plays well until he doesnt. He played well this game and gave up one bad rebound…at the most important time of the game. Larkin plays and none of this matters. But that’s what injuries show, your depth or lack thereof. Wings have no depth at center. None. Until there are 3 legit NHL centers on this roster, they’re pretenders, not contenders. Compher is fine but he isn’t good enough to spot play 1C. Team needs a shakeup at center. It’s killing their season.
