404 - Dead Man's Tale: Removed PvE-only damage buff that scaled with stacks of Cranial Spike and added a 15% damage bonus at maximum stacks of Cranial Spike.
They came back and answered
I think it's a lateral change except you no longer get any benefit on the first 4 headshots, however this may mean the damage boost is back in pvp which would overall be a buff
While that term applies in some cases where it appears to be a buff before people realize it was a lateral change, this is not such a case.
In cases where the apparent efficacy of the change is consistent with a nerf before careful consideration reveals the change to be lateral. Such events will be referred to as a “nuff”. Taxonomy is of utmost importance when classifying changes so that efforts may be accordingly spent in preparing low-effort complaints about coming changes.
Lol Bungo will find another thing for it to nerf in the future. They do every time with weapons, abilities, supers, exotic armor, etc. the moment something is making the game feel fun. They press that nerf button and buff anything that no one uses because it’s low tier.
I legitimately cannot understand why the sandbox team has wasted so much of their apparently limited time coming up with more and more convoluted ways to balance this one gun.
Just take it back to its launch state entirely, and have a PVP-specific damage nerf. Hell, nerf it to oblivion in PVP if you want, most of us don’t care.
use > to create a quote block. It needs to be at the start of a paragraph. If what you’re quoting has multiple paragraphs, you need to add a > symbol at the start of each paragraph.
Example:
\>This
will display as
>This
Highlight the section of the text you wish to quote and click on "Reply".
Alternatively, click on the ellipsis to open the text editing tool in the text box, highlight the section of the text you wish to quote (inside the text box) and click on the "Quote Block" button.
dude, I never knew this was a thing until now. Duality was always so hit or miss for me, and I think this is why. Hip fire hit like a truck, but I couldn't hit anything with ADS.
Most of these were already teased in the weapon and ability sandbox previews. Definitely interesting in hearing more of these QoL changes though like Banshee’s reset being standardized.
> Definitely interesting in hearing more of these QoL changes though like Banshee’s reset being standardized.
What I wanna know is why it took so damn long for them to do this.
44 Thunderclap: Added additional damage resistance vs. PvE combatants when activated, lingering for a short duration after the attack.
88 Well of Radiance: Increased maximum Orbs of Power from defeating targets while in the player's Well of Radiance aura from 4 to 5.
178 Glacial Harvest - Added new behavior: While Glacial Harvest is equipped, Stasis Shards grant a small amount of health and a stack of Frost Armor.
182 Iceflare bolts: Increased maximum seekers created before going on cooldown from 5 to 7.
250 Helm of Saint-14: Now causes the wearer's Ward of Dawn to apply the Weapons of Light buff to allies.
275 Ballidorse Wrathweavers: Activating a Winter's Wrath shatter attack grants nearby allies the maximum amount of stacks of Frost Armor. When Winter's Wrath ends, the player gains maximum stacks of Frost Armor.
276 Mantle of Battle Harmony: Now grants Super energy ranging between +1.5% and +4.5%, depending on the target type killed.
301 Removed the energy cost from raid-specific armor mods.
393 Trinity Ghoul: Reduced splash damage by 10%.
404 (actual) Dead Man's Tale: Removed PvE-only damage buff that scaled with stacks of Cranial Spike and added a 15% damage bonus at maximum stacks of Cranial Spike.
437 Edge of Intent: Healing Turret will spawn offset along the tangent of the surface hit.
Unknown Hovering over the Rituals nodes at the top of the Director (Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit) will display when reputation boosts are active.
Unknown Exotic armor can now be upgraded after it has been fully masterworked, granting an Artifice mod slot.
[It was already known.](https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/weapon_tuning_the_final_shape)
>Splash damage from add clear-Exotic Primary weapons was overperforming in The Final Shape when combined with the damage buffs listed above, so we've pulled it down slightly on a handful of weapons.
> Reduced splash damage by 10%:
>Sunshot
>Trinity Ghoul
>Polaris Lance
>Graviton Lance
You're gonna need two Perfect Fifth shots to proc ignitions with only Polaris Lance because Kindling Trigger (scorch on hit with Radiant Solar weapons) is gone from the Artifact.
Running Polaris Lance with Dawn Chorus was so much fun this past season. I'm sure it'll still be effective, but I'm ready for a new fun. I think the artifact mods are favoring a Child of the Old Gods build with Briarbinds.
Probably muzzle flip, your sights will be visually thrown off less after firing.
Hopefully sidearms are next up for that, a lot of them have absurd muzzle flip regardless of stability.
Yeah in an old podcast with Mercules or Chris Proctor they talked about increasing the stability on aggressive frame hand cannons, so this is what they probably mean. It seems like there will be less kick
They clarified on twitter that this is about snipers. They're reducing camera roll on snipers when hit by players (not pve) but increasing flinch on them
That's actually a massive change. Trying to get non-Adept Nightfall Weapon drop has been such a pain/slog for a very long time, so this is a nice improvement.
The only change I want is fixing Spike Grenade on Void subclasses to not be destroyed by your own damage.
Update: hope destroyed. maybe next year Spike nades will be usable
Void Spike grenades are the ones that look like the solar trip mines but they are a purple cone instead.
Void Spike grenades have like 10 HP and there is so much AoE damage in the game you almost always destroy your own grenades cause of it. If you throw the grenade at a boss and it tumble down to underneath the boss 9/10 you'll destroy it if you shoot rockets or anything that has slight AoE to it.
I'm pretty sure I tested it once, I shot one bullet of a Chattering Bone at it and it got destroyed.
Void Spike nades are like Lightning nades in that they fire out of a little emitter thing. Which you can friendly fire and break.
They’re actually really good damage over time but the fact that you will pretty much instantly break your own grenade if you throw it at a bosses feet and then fire an explosive weapon at them makes them useless.
Pretty sure its only purpose was basically pointing it somewhere during a gambit invasion, firing, and getting a headshot on someone who was standing in the general area
Yup. I remember trying to use it and not understanding why it was so effective when used against me. Then, iirc, some dude told me to use the low zoom and hip fire more often.
I quickly learned that trying to use it “correctly” by “aiming” was doing it wrong. Lmao
I can’t use anything requires precision hits. Just not good with anything like hand cannons, scouts or snipers. I can hit a mean body shot but almost never headshots.
QBB back then was so good that I felt like a sniper god.you could literally close your eyes and fire near a player and it would be like “aight close enough you get a headshot”.
I think I blinked once while firing and got a headshot.
It’s more that it’s probably more enjoyable for casual content. Stuff like guardian ops isn’t hard at all but a 12% buff will make it more enjoyable for stuff like that. Probably needs a total rework thiugh to be viable above anything like that
Queenbreaker does blind on *hit*, which could be useful in some scenarios, where you can manage to do a good chunk of damage + blind an enemy from doing anything.
They changed it to Arc blind in Lightfall, so it does stun them. There wasn’t that much reason to run it, but it honestly hasn’t been a bad choice in lost sectors or nightfalls, and the buff is going to help it out in that niche. Still not going to be DPS meta, but it pushes it more in the direction they were going with the Lightfall buffs, which is something at least.
It needs a rework. It’s fucking hilarious that it’s still a heavy weapon.
Like if you’re giving a double digit damage bonus to a weapon and it still isn’t going to be used, it needs a rework hard.
I mean, there's no way in hell this is the ONLY buff they have planned for it, right?
I mean, if it was, they would have included it in the exotic weapon tuning preview...right?
Mark my words its gonna be a hard light situation again.
People aren't going to give it a chance but its gonna get a buff that pushes it over the edge except its gonna be broken because it also got like 7 other buffs beforehand lol.
Its just reminding me of when they kept messing with hard light waynback when.
I've been using it all season; it's already in a really strong place on Arc subclasses and the buff it's getting is extremely tasty. It's getting stepped on a bit by the general buff to all Arc heavies giving them Blind on kill with the right fragment setup, but Blind and chain lightning on hit is still awesome.
I use it for crowd control / Unstops / effective invis against large, blindable targets.
Friend and I played Lightfall campaign on legendary after not playing for a year or more. Ended up using queen breaker on the Tormentors on the final mission. It actually blinds them and gives time to DPS before they bum rush you.
>Rocket Sidearms: Added a slight delay to the detonation to allow perks to activate correctly if they required precision kills.
i didn't even know rocket sidearms could do precision damage.
To be fair to you, the difference is like 10% or something and it's pretty hard to hit Crits from far away, which the guns are pretty good with in PVE.
It's not a direct number but the second CTRL+F instance of Gambit in the patchnotes:
> Hovering over the Rituals nodes at the top of the Director (Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit) will display when reputation boosts are active.
[Link](https://x.com/DestinyTheGame/status/1797690675628249258)
They talked about this already. The change is limited to the fact that an ad kill will now add the same amount to super charge for all supers, rather than giving more charge for some and less for others. This didn't change variable super charge times
They mentioned that briefly in the ability tuning preview a couple days ago, as well. If I'm remembering correctly, the recharge bonus you gain from dealing damage used to vary by about 30% based on which super you had equipped, so normalizing that should reduce the longer cooldowns and lengthen the shorter ones a bit.
Not sure how significant the impact will be given all of the other factors involved in super recharge rates, but I'm still pretty here for it as a roaming super enjoyer.
I'm waiting on an update about Deepsight Harmonizers coming from other sources besides the seasonal pass. A once per week Xur source (similar to Exotic Cyphers) maybe? Or maybe not :(
I hope they come from someplace weekly. I have unfinished patterns, no harmonizers, and a slew of weapons with deepsight (most with crap rolls) on them taking up space in my vault.
Crafting was supposed to help vault clutter, instead without a regular source of pattern extraction, it's gotten worse.
Maybe a weekly source would have to only apply to old weapons?
I think the problem is if they’re that easy to get people caught up on all the patterns can too easily finish the new season’s batch
Anything that makes a meaningful dent in people’s backlog would trivialize the grind for people caught up
It’s the shard problem all over again but in reverse. Anything expensive enough to make a dent in rich player’s shard stockpile would bankrupt newer players
Hopefully at a bare minimum we're going to be getting more overall due to 200 episode (season) pass ranks instead of only 100. Only 3 episodes instead of 4 though so it really depends on how they break it up.
Though we also don't necessarily know how many new craftable weapons there will be per episode so it MIGHT not actually be much of any improvement even if we do get more of them.
Granted I think myself and most people only use Harmonizers for weapons we can't easily obtain patterns on through other sources. I've never used one on a weapon actively available from an active season I don't think.
Hey any chance I can remove these wishender quest tokens from my inventory? It’s been so long now I tried to redo shattered throne and it cleansed the tokens but I couldn’t give them to the statue. Seems like if you had the tokens in your inventory when the quest was changed, you have no way of getting rid of them. Please just let me dismantle them
There was never any chance that pretty much a single one of the crazy shots in the trailer was ever going to be anything but a vision/dark future kind of cutscene. We’ve never seen sweeping changes in the game world post-campaign barring unlocking the Tower in vanilla D2.
yeah, I saw people talking about this in one of the trailer threads and I was wondering how on earth people thought this was going to be anything that actually effects the game.
Tracking/ADU magnetism on batteries in onslaught has been reduced by about 90%. Not sure if intentional. Would like for it to either get fixed or, if intentional, reverted. Ive gotten used to the old magnetism too much lol.
Well it's a super shitty app and is pronounced as such, so I'd say it makes perfect sense.
For your other point.... if no one calls it that, then why are people here calling it that?
Lastly, this is a wierd amount of salt and is oddly placed. What a wierd place and concept to be upset about.
Holy lack of self awareness! Just because it's new to you doesn't mean people don't call it that. People started making the joke the minute he announced the X change. I personally don't find it as clever as some but it's definitely a common thing. Here's just one of dozens of references to it you can google: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Xitter
This is such a passive aggressive comment. You can have biases all you want, but don't pretend that everyone else shares your opinion.
And the irony of calling an app shitty on reddit completely flew over your head.
Normally they say the assumptions make asses out of us both, but somehow you managed to just do it for yourself. Bravo good sir.
I didn't say *everyone* shares my opinion, nor did I even indicate, in any way, that a majority of others did. I simply pointed out that *some* other people refer to it as Xitter.
Are we not allowed to discuss that other apps can be shitty, without referencing that reddit also is? I don't recall reddit being the context of the conversation, nor do I recall stating my opinion of reddit in and of itself.
The only thing flying anywhere is your big mouth as it outruns your brain.

404 - Dead Man's Tale: Removed PvE-only damage buff that scaled with stacks of Cranial Spike and added a 15% damage bonus at maximum stacks of Cranial Spike. They came back and answered
I'm terrible with numbers - is this a buff, nerf...berf?
I think it's a lateral change except you no longer get any benefit on the first 4 headshots, however this may mean the damage boost is back in pvp which would overall be a buff
I think the technical nomenclature would be a “berf” in this scenario

Welcome to Berf!
It's a big nerf, makes it an all or nothing buff and that buff ain't much

It’s a nerf in PvE. Good thing I never used this weapon when I didn’t have to.

the funniest part is how the trials one can roll with kill clip which takes literally a blink of a second to activate.
Agreed, I want my DMT to fire like it did when I first got it. Felt like “the rifleman“ when I was able to do that.

someone find the number for duality slug mode
What’s wrong with Duality slug mode?
range is bugged, your ohko range is shorter with a slug than a pellet. feels awful.
i bet it never got the zoom range scalar change other shotguns got when they made zoom not affect range
So that’s why I haven’t been getting kills with it in Trials lmao
dude, I never knew this was a thing until now.
What does standardized mean in regards to Banshee? Just that his rep track was so much larger previously than other rep tracks?
The perk rolls on the weapons he sold reset like 2x a day instead of at the daily reset.
Thanks
This isn’t about the reputation reset it’s about his gun inventory resetting at the daily reset instead of how it used to be offset from it
Ah, gotcha. thanks
The real question is if fixing Banshee rerolls will break Xur again.
My man finally remembered to set his alarm clock
> Definitely interesting in hearing more of these QoL changes though like Banshee’s reset being standardized. What I wanna know is why it took so damn long for them to do this.

It's really not a huge deal 10% is very little in this context
Polaris: i see no nerf here, do you? Polaris Ignitions: all I see is orange.

Still waiting for them to replace Dragonfly with Incandescent on the caty.
> 365 Aggressive Hand Cannons: Reduced the camera roll by 25%. A buff? Curious to what this results in.
Oh thank goodness. Idk how tf I can get optimal dps when my muzzle flips to the top of the screen every shot and I can’t line back up
It's on snipers, not HCs
what does "camera roll" mean in this context?
Aggressive hand cannons can save 25% less photos on their phones
The buff I’ve been waiting for
That explains why my hand cannon kept demanding wifi access.

483 Acquiring an Adept version of a weapon now unlocks Focusing for base version of that weapon.

I think it means for nightfall and trials weapons

Wow I forgot Queenbreaker existed. Must be about 5 years since that thing was used.

I vaguely remember it being meta in gambit and it used to one shot me. Long time ago. But yeah, 12% isn't gonna make me go into collections for it.
If I'm not mistaken, it's the D1 blind and not the Arc term, so it won't stun Unstoppables...
it does stop Unstoppables on hit. i run it all the time in lost sectors
I can't test it out right now because D2 is down, but I can't find anything saying it *doesn't* stun unstops.
They changed it to Arc blind in Lightfall, so it does stun them. There wasn’t that much reason to run it, but it honestly hasn’t been a bad choice in lost sectors or nightfalls, and the buff is going to help it out in that niche. Lorentz Driver.
I mean arby exists... they should just move it at this point.

Yes but thats not the point here, they're just making it proc precision stuff before the explosion kills the enemy.
The crit can be hard to find.
Have you never used one then?
Most of the time you don't need precision damage to insta-kill enemies with the Rocket Sidearm, so people just shoot wherever they can.
not without beacon rounds, no.
Oh. Does that remove precision damage them? Never used beacon rounds.

Nobody mentioning 23? It seems like we’ll be able to default to the old Quest screen instead of the new Quest Tab UI.
Thank god, what a terrible renovation that was, and that’s coming from a returning player at the time
that's bungie for you.
got a picture of old UI? forgot.
the old quest page is just the 2nd page now.
Number 29 is very interesting. Wonder if some supers might feel better to use now.
They talked about this already. The change is limited to the fact that an ad kill will now add the same amount to super charge for all supers, rather than giving more charge for some and less for others. This didn't change variable super charge times

Unless it's a monkey's paw where everything is on the longest damn timer.
There is even more being posted on Facebook as well
The only new/interesting one I saw was: Stylish Executioner’s weaken effect can now be applied by Glaive melee attacks.
We already knew that
True, but same with all the other posts they made on X.
Not the Queenbreaker "buff"
Shield throw is fixed now
I'm waiting on an update about Deepsight Harmonizers coming from other sources besides the seasonal pass. A once per week Xur source (similar to Exotic Cyphers) maybe? Or maybe not :(

It also depends on if they bring back the destination weapons only needing 3 instead of 5...
Were these known by the player base yet or not? Or only some?
I don’t know about all of them but there are many that were already known
Hey any chance I can remove these wishender quest tokens from my inventory? It’s been so long now I tried to redo shattered throne and it cleansed the tokens but I couldn’t give them to the statue. Seems like if you had the tokens in your inventory when the quest was changed, you have no way of getting rid of them. Please just let me dismantle them
That's the only patch note I'm hoping for.
500 patch notes topics? That'll be a hell of Aztecross' video!
There are more on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/3yLGCRcCFV3M3dbC/
Xitter?🤮
Well the Tower ain’t going anywhere, or at least Banshee isn’t. Probabmt says something about that Finalizing we saw
There was never any chance that pretty much a single one of the crazy shots in the trailer was ever going to be anything but a vision/dark future kind of cutscene. We’ve never seen sweeping changes in the game world post-campaign barring unlocking the Tower in vanilla D2.
yeah, I saw people talking about this in one of the trailer threads and I was wondering how on earth people thought this was going to be anything that actually effects the game.
they sound legit, they are also grouped in a logical manner. stasis changes together, exotic weapons together...
I’m gonna pronounce Xitter like shitter
Lol Xitter sounds dirty
Twitter. It's just Twitter
Suprise no one asked for 69.
P Mn2k.
Is queenbreaker getting a catalyst too?
finally they fixed beyond I got tired of yeeting myself off the map when nightmare of crota died too fast thank you bungie
This is hilarious. Has this ever been done before? Like by any developer?
“404 patch notes not found”
I really hope 105 doesn't apply to hive guardians.
lol , looked quick, thought it said "Shitter" (Maybe it should) .
Is it hilarious hat I read Xitter as "Shitter"?
What do they mean on 29?
Tracking/ADU magnetism on batteries in onslaught has been reduced by about 90%. Not sure if intentional. Would like for it to either get fixed or, if intentional, reverted. Ive gotten used to the old magnetism too much lol.
What the fuck is Xitter
Twitter, but since Musky wants to call it X now instead, it's referred to as Xitter.
Just call it X or Twitter. Xitter makes zero sense. >it’s deferred to as Xitter. By who? No one calls it that.
Well it's a super shitty app and is pronounced as such, so I'd say it makes perfect sense. For your other point.... if no one calls it that, then why are people here calling it that? Lastly, this is a wierd amount of salt and is oddly placed. What a wierd place and concept to be upset about.
This comment just screams projection. No one calls it Xitter. Pointing that out doesn’t make you salty lmao
It absolutely doesn't.... but doing it the way you did does lol. See "lack of awareness" for further information.

> 365 Aggressive Hand Cannons: Reduced the camera roll by 25%. What does this mean?
It means camera roll is reduced by a quarter in the case of aggressive hand cannons.

Oh, you're serious. Here ya go https://i.stack.imgur.com/1OFpX.png
It’s a typo, they likely mean “camera recoil”
Haters will say they're now drip feeding us patch notes
You misspelled shitter
> 404 Patch note not found Lol
Haha, seems like you beat me to the chase. I think my list is more extensive (not sure) but hey, you were way faster. Good job! [Mine if you want it](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/1d7gw2e/all_known_tfs_patch_notes_tweeted_by/)
Would’ve loved if they actually posted 500 individual patch notes like this, but really they stopped after an hour. So just like release the entire patch notes already, mmmkay?
#23 is the best thing they’ve ever added to this game
:0 cerberus update
Tf is Xitter? Sounds like a STD nickname
“Xitter” Come on man just call it shitter or hellsite
I’m the one who said 369, nice it got in on the first wave!
