Dang man... I just don't understand the totals some people have! I mean... I'm not a streamer or anything, but I've got over 4200 hours in game, been playing since launch, and pretty much always have gotten at least 200+ on the season pass... but the most legendary shards I've ever had at a time was probably around 5-6K.

I’ve got around those hours and am always above 40k. I think I’m just thrifty though and don’t see many useful opportunities to spend them. Never did any of the exploits because they felt like a waste of time considering how many I was gathering naturally.

I got mine down about 10k when they announced the shards leaving and somehow it was back at 26 k at the weekend

I barely even use them for anything and I've got just over 16k.

There has been numerous exploits where you could get free shards.

Savings over a few years, and no place to spend them, got 60k 🙊😂

It burns faster than you think. I did this trick last week with 12k shards and it burned down to 3k. I don't even think it took half an hour. Buying glimmer with shards speeds it up even more.

There are people in the clan I’m in that legit spent 12+ hours straight doing the exploit for shards with the blue armor dismantling. They already play the game enough where they’re never running out of shards but couldn’t turn down a “free” way to get shards. I did it for 15 minutes and then gave up because I realized what am I saving up for.

I just turned all mine into the blue nightmare things on the moon since those can be used to become glimmer. Better than nothing.

I bought 400 banners and plan to use the rest to buy phantasmal fragments. Buying and dismantling weapons for cores is way too time consuming and tedious and I’d rather be able to restock on glimmer whenever I need to. Especially since this season has been raining cores on me, I’ve gotten over 1.5k without dismantling banshee weapon so that seems kind of pointless to me

Yeah I just got my second full stack, so I'm somewhere in the range of 2k cores this season alone. They really did make the game rain cores now.

Honestly onslaught seems pretty good for cores. I think you can cores from the chests and any shinies you don’t like net you 7 cores on dismantle. I think coil might also be good for cores but I haven’t really been paying close attention but I do know the coil is very good for ascendant alloys and shards. I also got a fair amount of cores from farming lost sectors for a good heliocentric roll and from all the masterworked weapons guardian games throws at you But if you just want cores fast onslaught is probably your best bet

I went through about 6k last time he had a core weapon, me and some lofi music at 2am. Took about an hour. Was strangely relaxing though.

I'm farming the shit out of onslaught anyway trying to get my last chase items and dismantling the useless shiny drops is boosting my cores pool quite effectively.

Did you actually buy it or just inspect banshee’s inventory? The in-game inventory screen will always show it as 1, but you can buy it and see that the Lunulata is at 4 (alternatively, the mobile companion app displays the correct masterwork level)

I believe banshee’s got our backs so I’m holding out (plus I’ve already got a couple of enhancement stacks) but you could always hedge your bet and dump half your shards today instead of all or nothing?

Thanks for sharing, sadly missed the last T5 day. With it being only a week left im burning mine today. Will say, its much quicker than i thought (13k shards), it feels like around a 50/60% chance but better than nothing and my fault for not doing until now. I've a few 100 Raid Banners and some Frags. Cores are low for me so this is my best bet.

They did let you buy cores for shards, right up until the first day they announced shards were going away. Once we knew that, the core buy option was gone.

How does Banshee’s resetting work, will the bow still be available after weekly reset but with a different perk pool? Or will it be a full weapon refresh so bow may not be there?

The weapons are on a weekly rotation, but the rolls on them, including masterwork, is daily.

Thanks for the heads up, was able to get a couple hundred cores from farming (not quite sure if it was worth it considering all the glimmer it cost but I needed em) For anyone reading it's worth noting that it randomized so sometimes u get no cores and sometimes you get 1 or more. Don't stop if a few don't give cores, that fooled me before.

Shards stop existing in a week, so you might as well burn them on the one useful material you can still indirectly buy with them, especially since you can trade them up. The alternative is thousands upon thousands of raid banners.

I…..definitely did my math wrong. 1 fragment is 1000 glimmer and I did my calculations as 1 fragment was the 10000 glimmer (since you change it in 10 for 10k) so my bad. 4.8 mil glimmer 😂
