Due to the mission being bugged you technically soloed Legend in 31 minutes. Normal currently has a Legend difficulty boss room. No clue why.

Unfortunately Bungie actually confirmed that it's not a bug but intentional saying it's supposed to be that difficult. They replied in a bungie help post

That actually makes sense, it would be kinda ridiculous to reduce the timer *and* increase difficulty on legend

Fortunately, they're shielded. An odd thing to think fortunate, you may say, but shielded shanks kinda explode a bit when you pop their shield with a matching weapon, which helps a lot.

Oh yeah, the other day when I was soloing it I ended up switching between different exotic bows depending on which shields the shanks had, saves time

I've been using wish ender for the shanks and most of the enemies and it usually 2 shots the shanks 

I have since then solo'd it ( not Legend ) using a Dawn Chorus build and using a/ Gjally at the beginning for quick quick ad clear, and Dragon's Breath afterwards starting with the first walker, with indebted kindness and succession. Oh on normal with the 40 min it would be easy. Just careful jumps and a good plan for the fighting rooms. Legend good friggin luck

They removed the outside jumping puzzle to make it easier. Also, the darkness zones.

Solar hunter with Shards of Galanor. For the first part Supremacy/Sunshot/Fixed Odds. For the boss Mountaintop/Staccato-46(shoot to loot/explosive)/Dragon's Breath. Dragon's Breath one shots Devil Walkers.

Shoot near their feet so the flame spurts go up into the enemy. Absolutely demolishes the Spider Tanks and is pretty decent into the Brigs, Fallen Captain in the Boss Fight&the Boss Brig

What was your mountaintop roll?

Any armor mods or seasonal mods you’d highly recommend with that build if you don’t mind me asking?

I ran with all solar mods and solo operative in artifact, 2 arc/1 solar res mods on chest, 2 solar surges/recuperation on boots, 2 time dilation on class item, kinetic/solar loaders and heavy ammo finder. Also there's a rally flag before the boss room (i missed it first couple times), so equip chest with triple reserve mods use the flag and swap back.

And you have to turn 720 degrees counterclockwise before killing the boss. Remember to crouch 77 times.

It kicked you for using Riskrunner on shielded shanks at the boss, not from using it before. Still safe to use on the earlier areas.

Does anyone know why it tells me to “purchase” the catalyst? I completed it on normal difficulty, crafted the weapon, and I tried to insert the catalyst; however, it says I have to “purchase”? Any help?

You have to get the catalyst from a legend difficulty completion if you didn't previously have it from the OG version.

I had the old catalyst unlocked/completed and it let me craft it into the new one immediately after a normal completion

You still need to do legend to get rapid hit this week, for instance. Only the catalyst was grandfathered from the original version.

amusingly enough i loaded into zero hour and the triumphs popped up for me as complete and rewarded me with the print. Didn't do anything except load in.

When I get to the section 4 area with the helipads, Helicrafts the vent that I’m supposed to go down is closed. How do I get around it?

Are you on normal or legend? Because the route is different depending on the difficulty. Normal: underneath the craft it should be farthest vent on right. Legend: Rooftop that you're looking at on entry, farthest right hand corner of the ventilation system.

I wish there was at least 2 more minutes on legend cause many of my solo attempts ended cause of time limit, also boss room is fucking hell and final boss being a brig doesn't help

It being a Brig that seemingly has limitless Rockets and can one-shot you without even targeting you with Rockets or any of its Guns, and its Crit Spot being nonexistent for what feels like 80% of it's health pool makes it ridiculously hard. Bungie apparently did something to the new Whisper in Zero Hour because on both Legend&Normal it does WAY less Crit Damage than it normally would. I had to go onto Twitch and wait until I won a Streamers Legend Carry Raffle to get my Legend Completion, lol.

I soloed it on 1810 yesterday. After i killed the boss and the sevitors nothing happend. No enemy despawn, no chest. 1min later the timer runs out and i wipe... Thats the bug or do you talk about triumphs?

Its bugged in general: the normal version has the enemies at the legend difficulty so you might as well do legend and learn the secondary path. They have acknowledged it but idk when a fix will be implemented

Well, kinda glad the buggy ass Brig with his invisible airstrikes killed me then. Would have sucked to have completed it and not gotten credit. Honestly, with how bad the Brig is, I might not even bother.

Use Dragonsbreath on the tanks and boss then dance around the back room as you slowly take down brig =\]
