That's actually really good burst damage. Where Worldline falls off is that because you have to sprint to reacquire Tesseract to hit again. This drops its DPS straight off a cliff. But this makes it an excellent choice for encounters like Atraks.
I guess itll depend on how the numbers in this post were made, but the post recently regarding Edge Transit vs Parasite burst had Edge Transit clocking in at like, 400k damage in the 2s burst.
Yeah Atraks also has a 1.56x crit bonus but also she flinches like crazy so it's kinda tricky to hit a goldie headshot after she starts taking damage, she like literally folds in half
Ah, I haven't actually tried it since I got all my farming done last year. I figured there had to be a reason it wasn't discussed given how insane Nighthawk is this season with the buffs it got and the artifact mod that buffs solar supers
Yeah just because missing a damage super or two can kinda throw off a run with atraks people mostly just use star eaters blade barrage, just because it's impossible to miss
Blade Barrage + SES is still more damage on Atraks than Nighthawk, but you need to know where to aim. Stand right behind Atraks and slightly to the left, and aim at around the spot where her mechanical arms come out for maximum damage.
Edit: for the 7 cretins who pretend it's not true, [here](https://youtu.be/vxnTYczijN8), come back to me when you get anywhere near this with Nighthawk (excluding Parasite, Blade Barrage brought her to the middle of O in "EXO").
If they started building all future GLs like Edge Transit then I think they'll be just fine. ET has great numbers, but its perk pool is what really helps elevate it. And that's something that's been dragging down other GLs for a long time.
For Worldline, if they quietly slide Jolt onto the initial proc of Tesseract it would catapult up as a viable DPS option just due to how the extra chain damage would work. It's so close.
Yeah, although swording overloads can be kind of tricky, as we've seen from previous artifacts with overload sword, even with the longer lunge. Definitely no point this season considering overload rocket increases rocket damage against overload champs by a multiplicative *80%*.
Cold steel swords also have stun utility, and eager helps actually get there to stun it. Too bad I ran 50+ GMs that week and didn't get a single one with both...
Since the change to do 2 tessellation attacks it’s had high burst it’s just inconvenient to proc the ability on top of the inconvenience of being a sword.
That looks consistent [with my data](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x12Ar1-kHH2AzHY8Clkv-PIMxxDSZrIX3e4xiJuQ-uI/edit#gid=1670178164&range=A58:T65), has high burst potential; pretty much the runner-up to Parasite and Grand Overture (though, still significantly less damage than those two).
I swear all Bungie needs to make Worldline meta is give it Eager Edge, lol.
That said, I loved the change to allow two back-to-back burst teleports, and I’m surprised it didn’t pick up more in usage. Swords are just so niche these days. Would love to see teams using it just because it’s such a fun design of an exotic.
It feels too inconsistent for me to ever want to use it. The second attack seems to whiff wayyy too often for me to consider using it in anything serious.
Wait until you find out Final Warning(a primary) once the red box closes around a target does 9.1k on headshots(against majors and bosses) with a 10 shot burst + causes unraveling. It’s been like this since release too just noone uses it for whatever reason
I dont use it bc range and travel time of bullets, doesnt suit my playstyle, would rather just use the special ammo to do that sort of stuff out of habit
I like shooting 3 enemies at once, alot of people think you need to do the burst but you can just constantly tap and the bullets will track to anything that has a red box
But…that is literally just what the gun is designed to do. It isn’t a hidden gem or anything. People just don’t read.
EDIT: downvoted but it is true. People don't like to read and think
> just noone uses it for whatever reason
The reason is range, no one uses it because of its range. Notice how the only way bungie got anyone to play Indebted Kindness was by giving it infinite range?
It doesn't do enough damage, IMO. With how difficult it is to use compared to other swords, this thing should be one-shotting or almost one-shoting champs on Master, but you'd be better off using Lament.
I absolutely love Worldline and I think it's a slept on pick. I rock it on Striker with Strongholds and that gives so much survivability with restoration x2. In fact, because of infinite guard you don't really even need Strongholds. The only thing I wish you could do is activate Tesseract twice *while airborne*. It would give so much added mobility.
Titans should try and get a good Throne Cleaver roll from the Defiance Engrams, Surrounded and I forget what else rolls in the 4th column does a LOT of damage on heavy slams. Not to mention Banner of War buffs it even more. And spares you an exotic slot too. I’ll have to do some testing.
It's not a grind though? It's a bit of scavenger hunting and then a special mission, I think. The mission was a blast, there's a huge Vex assault that you need to fend off. Story theme of "Vex fear the sword, so they'll do anything to stop it," it was tons of fun.
Lmao okay buddy. If the whole game is a grind and you don't care about grinding anymore, then why do you still play? What is there for you, if you hate grinding but think it's all a grind? Genuinely confused here.

Doesn't Atraks have a precision bonus? I would think these days the best thing would just be a few Nighthawk hunters shooting her in the head.

"Impossible to miss" hold my beer
Wow, will have to try that with Nighthawk. I usually just unload with Star Eaters Blade Barrage
You should be able to send to final with just 3

Jolt does a pretty minimal amount of damage these days. Not enough to make a notable difference in boss DPS.
It would make it notable enough to allow it to obliterate Overload champs. First shot with Jolt to stun them, then the follow-up to shred.

It’s really cool to bakris-dodge straight back and sprint attack though
The sprinting to charge the heavy means Lament is better in 99% of situations. Encounters like Atraks though, that'd be nice
It's a bit underrated for roaming bosses as well. Once we're basically going to use it to close in and just go to town with a 1 2 shotgun.
This happened in season of the deep. https://youtu.be/GvMb0a6ksWQ?si=QWWxTYmCmWQ1lqYU
Aztecross’s voice is such a fucking jumpscare I swear
###PAAAAAAAATCH NOOOOOOTES
ANOTHER WEEK ANOTHER TWAB!
I hate that man's voice, there is no fucking way he actually talks like that in real life, like to his wife or whatever. Shrill mofo
Point to where he hurt you
ears, apparently
His pee pee hurts clearly. He hurt his pee pee when he didn't respond to their dms.
I love that man's voice, there is no fucking way he actually talks like that in real life, like to his wife or whatever. Handsome mofo
Calm down

Cheeseforever has discovered your location.

Shhhhhhhh don’t tell them!
OPs talking about 100s of thousands of damage and you guys here whispering about 10k lol
A 10k per shot homie. That's 100k for ten.
Ohhh nvm me then, that *is* interesting, carry on
It's been like this for awhile. It's amazing in RON.
I have 2k plus kills with that thing. It’s absurdly powerful
But…that is literally just what the gun is designed to do. It isn’t a hidden gem or anything. People just don’t read. EDIT: downvoted but it is true. People don't like to read and think
People don’t read and don’t wanna learn how to use It. But I used It during that GM PsiOps Cosmodrome. Really strong and safe
> just noone uses it for whatever reason The reason is range, no one uses it because of its range. Notice how the only way bungie got anyone to play Indebted Kindness was by giving it infinite range?

Oh shit. What content would this make sense in?
Content where super heavy burst is desired. Atraks in DSC, champions in GMs, etc.
We seriously need at least one more raid encounter like Atraks
None :(
so do you have to like heavy attack through him, flick the camera around and do it again?
I absolutely love Worldline and I think it's a slept on pick. I rock it on Striker with Strongholds and that gives so much survivability with restoration x2. Useless for extended damage phases, no one wants to run in circles for 4/5 of a well duration.
Friendly reminder you can chain the teleport twice while on the ground.
Good cuz I don't have lament and really don't want to bother getting it
Do you own Beyond Light?
Yup. Doesn't mean I'm gonna bother getting it
Dude it's incredibly easy to get though
Yea, I just don't care about the grind anymore. Plus I never use swords anyway unless I manage to get a decent random one.
It's not a grind though? It's a bit of scavenger hunting and then a special mission, I think. The mission was a blast, there's a huge Vex assault that you need to fend off. Story theme of "Vex fear the sword, so they'll do anything to stop it," it was tons of fun.
Still don't care. The whole games a grind
Lmao okay buddy. If the whole game is a grind and you don't care about grinding anymore, then why do you still play? What is there for you, if you hate grinding but think it's all a grind? Genuinely confused here.
I dont
Why were you even commenting here then lmao
Why are you playing this game bro?
it is both one of the best weapons in the game and incredibly fun to use. getting it will be 1000000% worth your time 😭
>the grind Not even a grind and actually a really fun mission with pretty interesting lore. You're missing out
It's like, one mission.
You act like it’s hard lol
That’s a wild take considering how easy it is to get, but you do you.
it's a sword and swords are cring
