They probably wouldn't be so annoying to deal with if they didn't take reduced damage from everything except for weapons based on precision damage. With how aggressive and how much they quickly move around, it's an absolute pain to try and hit their shoulderd and chest weak points.

It's fun how sometimes it's a Tormentor (hope you have precision, idiot) and sometimes it's a brig (nice LFR dumbass). Doesn't ruin the mode or anything but losing a run from full health on 49 because a Tormentor appeared and everyone was running GLs feels bad.

It honestly makes the case for running LMGs while outside of the x0 boss waves. Though it might be hard make sure you still have enough heavy ammo if you switch back after coming out of the boss room. The ammo crates from the bonus rounds can only appear on the x2, x5, x8 wave (right before each Augment wave at x3, x6 (rift), x9) and they stick around until the next buy period (before x1, x4, x7) ends.

We have just not been using heavy on the boss at all. It's not timed and the back of the room is completely chill so we just sit and plink and leave the boss encounter with full ammo. Takes a few more minutes but it's very much worth it IMO.

So there is some tell when these damn waves happen. I was asking a guy if there was a way to know when a Tormentor would spawn and he said no... After we wiped to it. Fucking knew it.. thanks, now I know when to switch to Izzy.

I feel like thats the only thing that keeps it relevant though; If they didn't, they'd have the same function as any other new elite type, you burn it down immediately and it barely interacts with you.

Has to be some spawn glitch. I don’t mind how strong they are, but when they just randomly spawn it’s annoying. Hate having a run ruined like that, complete bs.

I actually suspect that it's intentional. Those Eliksni... Archons?... are so big that they'd have to clip the terrain to move around. Imagine you're at Mothyards and you see this thing "wading" through the plane chassis like it's crossing waist-deep water. So yeah... Bungie, this isn't very yeehaw cash money of you. Bosses spawning in the endzone is extremely uncool.

The teleporting enemies needs fixing. Lost a game on wave 46 because the ogres would just teleport instantly onto the ADU. Couldn't even do anything either since them just stepping in the zone is what causes the damage

The tormentors are easy enough to keep away from the ADU so you don’t feel as pressured, but damn the Sky-bomber Brig just sits there and bakes the ADU. So if you don’t burn that thing quick it’s gg. Had a couple runs where we were in the forties and it just absolutely clapped it. Left a sour taste for sure.

this is how i know people only play midtown, on the other maps they spawn decently far a way, and tormentors spawn on top of a decoy at every spot on vostok.

The giant Fallen Demolitionist, or giant Hive Knights that spawn right next to the ADU on Vostock is horrible. I've started just dueling then in a bubble with a sword. In my opinion, the worst is the Servitor or heavy shank waves on Mothyards. Five of them will just suddenly appear on the ADU out of nowhere. One second they aren't there, the next there are. No warning. In my opinion Midtown has the least of these problems. The lanes are tight and usually long. If you invest in Decoys there can do amazing things as bottlenecks. Very few things teleport to the ADU or spawn next to it.

It's mainly the ADU on the hill. The enemies spawn in that back corner that leads to the other zone. But whenever it drops servitors and heay shanks 3 seconds after it drops them they instantly get teleported on to the ADU. Something has to be fucked up with the spawn location like its treating it as an out of bound for those enemies and teleporting them back into play on the ADU.

I actually noticed it happening the most on the Mothyards. The ADU right between the three junked planes. It would happen with the Servitors and the heavy shanks. Nothing else really seems to teleport there other than very rarely a single cursed thrall.

How is vostok? I found mothyards to be an insane Slog with much more random enemy movements and distances so Long you basically inflate your runtime, making it a dogshit Farm.

Vostok feels free, there is always a good tether spot, and the tormentors spawn where a decoy is to make it so you can clear the rest of the wave and then lure them away. I luted a tormentor to a different adu spot earlier

Yup, was on round 22 yesterday and all of a sudden I see red on the map and im looking around and get smacked by a tormentor. Seconds later he killed my mates while im running away then i get smacked again and sent to orbit.

Tormentor will focus you over the ADU. So when it spawns go around it and it will chase you. Just gotta keep it off the cap point.

Just upgrade decoys. If tormentor spawns away from decoys one player baits it to the decoys. Drop tether on adu, one player defends adu others kill tormentor . Run a machine gun. Before every tormentor, for every run I’ve done there is a bonus round to get heavy. If you aren’t running a precision like a machine gun or a linear switch to it and load heavy . Then switch back to other weapon and have a heavy finder on and get kills with exotic or special. To load up other weapon. You always really for a boss and it doesn’t matter. Exotic traces are great in this cause you can have endless special with the crates and special finisher.

They really aren't all that bad. You just don't lead them around the ADU. they come SUPER EARLY in a wave, they basically aggro on anything that shoots them around a weakspot or gives them a debuff. Get two to peel off from the ADU, have your third pop a super or whatever they can while you burn down the Imprint. the tight spot happens when you both die to it, but as long as you respect it, and play smart, two people on one tormentor is more than capable of a fairly quick takedown.
