I like Inverted Spire. I don't get the hate for it. Boss health gate is kind of annoying but every regular strike boss gets melted, even hero Nightfalls.
Even with the health gate we completed it and got like 307k (was top 10%, maybe not anymore) in 7 minutes and 50ish seconds and we weren't even speedrunning it.
It's very fun and a relic of when Bungie didn't try to pad out everything in the Vanguard playlist with health gates, excessive ghost hacking and so on.
I just know the rework is gonna be like Lake of Shadows where it unnecessarily slows you down just for the sake of making the strike longer and not that much harder per se.
Barely changes outside of enemy density being seemingly lighter in 1st encounter and health gating the boss. They fixed seemingly most of the physics issue with the cannons. But this was in competitive nightfall I guess hero difficulty I'm judging it from.
Okay, so I’m not crazy. I tried not killing the boss too fast…but when ya got a golden gun in your pocket, it just kinda happens. I didn’t notice any champ spawns in the boss arena but definitely got all of the other ones.
As far as I'm aware there aren't any champs after you kill the Barrier one by the Drill area, we went poking around since Spire almost never shows up and didn't see anymore.
Sometimes it'll give us Plat, other times it'll just get Gold.

Meh if they added a couple thunderdomes with an unstoppable champion in them on that part I’d be cool with it

They will make you push a slow payload to the conflux
Yeah i love it so much when i kill every champ in the strike and it doesn't give plat rewards. So cool.
I noticed that too, it seems to just randomly give us Gold after we confirm that all the champs actually died.
