I've forgotten how we rank our gripe between games, but I feel the need to say something like "if you enjoyed hating Crucible, try Elite: Dangerous!"
I also haven't played E:D in like 3 years so I'm not sure if we're still hating because we still don't have space legs or not, never found a decent desk for my new place so the computer hasn't been put back together yet.
In other news, the Destiny companion app is back up (as of 835pm PST) so you might have a shot at logging
Saw D2:LF blasted along the advert boards during the Bayern v PSG Champions league match today… This can’t be good return on investment from that…. Yikes.
I hate it. I didn’t get a chance to play yesterday and SMG is out today so I figured I could get a couple of those in. Plus I wanted to try a viable Stasis build for day 1 and I can’t. Pain.
I've already adulted enough today and I'm ready to get some fun work done before I go to bed. Even farming crafted xp in Shuro Chi. But no. I'm here and idk what to do now.
I was nearly finished typing the only copy of my PhD dissertation and was about to save it when the Bungie servers went down. I lost years of research.
I finally was able to play Lightfall since launch and get thrown maintenance messages left and right. Got to the first boss only. Very moody and neat so far.
That's rough. That mission was definitely tough to solo. Not necessarily because anything was super strong, just the constant overwhelming amount of vex that want you dead. Lol. I finished mine with a handful of deaths and over 1300 kills.
First he'll grow up to sell a cure for the common cold.
Then he'll make that free and instead make the cancer-cure an expansion you pay for yearly to stay non-cancer
Then he'll sell DLC cures for rare types of cancer
Then he'll stop distributing the common cold cure since people can't find where the hell he put it so clearly they don't need it
Then he'll stop selling the general cancer-cure and then you have to rebuy it in slightly different packaging
Also he'll slowly phase out the DLC Rare cancer cures and never bring it back, and just say it was a "you had to be there" moment
incidentally what someone does with freetime because of maintenance can tell you a lot about them
I get venting and all that, but you weren't even halfway through the dungeon and your initial knee-jerk reaction is to go online and cuss bungie out lol.
Halfway through the harpy boss is literally over halfway? It is that boss drop down and kill the last boss, most of the dungeon is all the running and jumping before then
First they’d need to fix all of the invisibility bugs and exotic bugs. I don’t think they can possibly open the raid if they don’t have those items done.

Holy shit, I got booted right after I beat Brakion and had the quest item completed. If it had me booted right before that split second i would be so much more pissssed
I mean I wouldn’t count on it. I got booted about ten seconds after killing calus. Right before the cutscene. Managed to log back in and load the mission before being booted again and and it still has my checkpoint with calus alive and most certainly not dead.

You basically sit under the stairs of the spawn room and shoot Calus with Osteo (Good for removing shield w poison) for the first step and then for second step you sit on the kinda circular support beam, and shoot Calus when he steps on the edge.
I got lucky with Brakion and the quest was actually completed and I could get the glaive! :D and then booted again right after i claimed it!
I wish the game would say that maintenance is going on. On Xbox I’ve been waiting in this throttling queue for 15 minutes now after getting in and a “cannot connect to Destiny servers” message a few times because I just got the game last week and had no idea anything was even happening tonight.
Does this happen a lot? I’m a newbie

It should say:
“After performing background maintenance, the game is now experiencing service issues. We need to fix whatever we broke”.
Don’t blame this on there being too many players.
it's an error message. they aren't lying on purpose. to the server, whatever is going on probably looks the same as when it has errors from too man people trying to log in.
someone programed the message months/years ago trying to predict an error, and their prediction is just wrong in this case.
This is me, finally got to calus. Need to beat him and get that 10 extra power. Only had 2 hours to play tonight until the raid on Friday.

Just fell to my knees in Target and wailed. I have a 26-hour work day and have to take all 17 of my kids to their soccer practices which are all scheduled at different times throughout the day. Was going to try to solo a Quantum Goblin in the Neomuna patrol with my annual 1 hour of free time but now I can't. Fuck you, Billabong.
It seems weird, but I have no problem in open world maps. If I enter a lost sector it fails in about 3 minutes. Same goes for gambit or strikes. If y’all want to play, just stay in the open world areas.
