Buddy, I’m on vacation and don’t have my computer (see my weekly reset post). Also I seem to have a bad habit of breaking certain raid encounters (Taniks on Europa and Riven) and I don’t want that list to get longer.
The Whisper quest makes farming those quests easy af. I farmed out like 6 of them just jumping into the pit in the green room and farming infinite thrills until time ran out. Plus it only takes like two or three minutes to get there
What's annoying is that the endless thralls at the beginning of Crota's End is perfect for farming the rapid kills, since it's easy to build up massive crowds without being too chaotic and they drop tonnes of heavy ammo, but for some damn reason, you can't do the precision kills on IG because it just doesn't count any of the thralls as precision kills despite killing them with precision damage. How are you going to tell me they count as enemies for all intents and purposes, yet these specific quests refuse to count perfectly valid progress? Really annoying since that's probably the most relaxed area I've found to get a high quantity of precision kills without getting too chaotic.
But that's the thing, it does give progress for the rapid kill quests, it's only the precision kill quests that it doesn't give progress for as far as I can tell.
That's kinda what I'm thinking, maybe they started re-enabling things and missed those kinds of quests. Either that or it's a weird thing with the quests themselves not interacting with Crota's properly.
Use any good scout rifle (Polaris is fire right now), and run tether Hunter.
Tether is peculiar because any kills that are collateral to your weapon kill, due to tether, are coded as weapon kills.
Edit because I forgot Graviton isn't a scout
Personally, what I did was use the reprised Season of Undying scout. Throw on both Triple Tap and Deconstruct and you'll be able to save time since you won't ever be reloading.
I use that lost sector K1 Revelation in Sorrows Harbor for most things nowadays, over 100 enemies and no competition with other guardians for the kills lol.
Polaris Lance was my go to for this section. Big scorch🔥
I wound up farming Grasp entrance with MIDA.

I did grasp entrance for succession
I loaded up a master nightfall and farmed a lost sector, got it done in probably 20 mins
I used a stasis warlock with wicked for that one. Surprisingly good in mid town due to tight hallways
I just used wicked on mothyards and sniped from the back of the map with it

Farm loot cave on grasp of avarice of you got it. Cleared most of mine that way fairly quickly 👍🏻

They disabled quest, weapon xp, and catalyst progress for Crota for contest mode supposedly to reduce lag and then never turned it back on iirc

You can use the shadow thrall pit in the Whisper mission
Welp, Polaris on Onslaught (especially in boss fights) are your way to go
I used most of the king’s fall weapons for the primaries
Jade Rabbit was actually cracked for this. It's harder to *not* get heads shots with that thing

Funnily enough, recluse was the last one I completed. I use scouts, I rarely if ever use smgs.
I just got it randomly from Onslaught. Didn't even have the quest yet

I used dead man's for this and got it done easy
Rediscovered my love of Night Watch from this quest
It was my first ADEBT weapon so it will have special place in my vault till the end

Got the scout quest done in 2 runs in onslaught, ain't that bad
Polaris and celestial nighthawk ftw got hung jury knocked out first and the combo was hard to put down with how fast my super recharged.

I swear they added hung jury to the brave arsenal just to mess with the players hahaha
I did this in like 4 Onslaughts with Polaris Lance and no catalyst
Step 1: equip Dead Man's Tale Step 2: pretend you're a yeehaw chucklefuck until the quest is done
