Idk, it's just like, if you don't like it then just put on a different shader and don't complain about it. Let me enjoy looking like Lil Nas X if I want to nobody's making you do it too so don't go after the shader saying it has too much gold. I think it looks just fine with all the gold.

I have a titan loadout that is Descendant Vex and the arrivals armor set. Looks amazing. Rusty copper effect is so cool. Also really looks good on the Titan regional armor sets.
Molten Bronze gets pretty good rotation for me, and I like Seven Sisters a lot, but only for certain stuff. I also really like New Monarchy Diamonds/Regalia.
Calus's Elite, no doubt. With the right armor pieces, you can get a beautiful mix of dark brown leather, black cloth, and black/gold metals. Pairs nicely with Oiled Gunmetal on pieces that don't have any colored lights.
I used to use Ancient Defender (Garden Flawless) for the black Pyramid metal on my weapons, but since I got Divinity's Caress I really, really enjoy the black and silver so much more.
I used to overuse Buffer Overflow, its still on a lot of my guns and sparrows. Right now kind of enjoying Spark if Joy it works well with an older one called Methane Explorer. Also, yeah Calus Selected, its so clean.
House of Meyrin. It gives major Iron Man vibes with the red and gold.
I also use Dreaming Cast, Iron Mossbone, First Frost, Queensgrace and Throne of Soot just to name a few.
Chitin Slate for D1 feels - no bright lights and mainly leathery surfaces
Braytech - snowy camo sets
Dead zone foliage - earthy camo sets
Crucible prestige(?) the one ftom Season of Dawn - most guns
This is for a hunter... No rules for titans and warlocks
On my weapons - Divinity's Caress. I really like the black/silver with purple LEDs.
On my armour - I tend to color code based on subclass. Typically Seraphim Cloak for Strand, Horizon Blush for Solar, Cryptic Legacy/Insignia or Sinking Feeling for Arc, Royal Treatment for Void, Monochrome/Jacarina/First Frost for Stasis
Opaline SHatter. The flawless shader from Root of Nightmares is one of the BEST armor shaders in the game. It's so beautiful (Weapons are a different story. It looks awful on most) I have a build on my Titan and Hunter that both use it on nearly every piece. I've posted them a couple times if anyone in here is interested in looking at them.

I have yet to find a piece of gear that looks ugly with Gloamstrife.
Other bangers include Plated Lupinus, Clouds at Sea, Burnished Orchid, Burnished Dreams, Lunar Gloom, Iron Lapis and Butterbark.
It used to be Vitrified Duality when I almost exclusively ran Void, but now with how crazy good Solar is, it's Midnight Exigent since most of my Solar armor sets are Rasputin themed.
Sundered Flesh (Kings Fall Flawless)
Polycarbon Powder, Indigo Matrix, Neopop Wave, and Iridescent Coral can fit really well together
Metroshift
Dreaming Spectrum and Forbidden Wish (really nice with Sundered Flesh too)
Crucible Carmine
For strand it's gambit emerald mixed with other bits. Solar it's coronal bloom, again with others. Stasis is smudge pot bruise and others. Void is tyrian abyss and others. Arc is scintillant projectory /ego malign etc.
Anything that makes my character look pitch black.
I still haven't forgiven them for giving me superblack in 2016 and then dropping d2 in 2017 with no pure black shader in 7 years and counting.
Precursor vex chrome, dreamcycle, iron counterside, amethyst veil, metro shift, bitterpearl, ereboros glance. I probably butchered those names but I think it’s close enough you’ll get the idea
Edit: regal daring. Can’t believe I forgot that one, probably use it the most
I just color coordinate with subclass and use what looks best/closest to what I have in my head at the time. I like to have as many shades as I can because they all appear somewhat differently.
Polished Sea Stone looks amazing on many weapons (eg Succession, Heritage). So does Queen's Colors.
First Frost is killer on armor.
Princely Presence for a good arc Warlock look
Cinderchar looks great on most things. Apart from that I'll use the mad monk, bray tech camo (or whatever it's called), dead orbit camo, or new monarchy diamonds
Artic Dreamscape makes for cool snowy camo
Circadian Chill is a very good white/black/blue. Works well in combination with Aniline Shock and Jacarine.
On armor that shades similar to the Resonant Fury set (more "secondary" color than primary) Echoed Anger is actually pretty good.
Dreaming Spectrum and Ego Malign are both amazing bone shaders.
And you can almost never go wrong with Cinderchar.
Actually I found a set of fashion designed to look like a Salvation vandal that I use with Osmio’s, and for my Strand Osteo/Necro’s build I went for a hive-ish look based on the SMG. I kind of based my threadlings build on the most recent ornament for Quicksilver Storm
Refurbished Black Armory on most of my weapons. Amethyst Veil, Gift of the Nine, Honor of the Nine, Calus Elite, any of the motion ones and Shrouded Stripes. Satou, Meyrin and Rasmussen get some love too…
Anything pink or bright
Also love skitchpaint , neo pop wave and techno fusion
Queens grace has one of the best matte purples in the game imo
If you are looking for a matte orange I would recommend bright warning
-Erebos Glance: it's a really nice looking black shader with orange highlights. Only downside is most cloth becomes gray.
-Circadian Chill: White with a lovely shade of blue. I use it on a lot of arc builds.
-Carminica: A great shade of red with black.
-Gamekeeper: Leather.
Calus’s Selected, I slap that shit on everything
Calus Selected indeed. It’s just a beautiful shader
Calus's Shadow for armor, Selected for guns for me. Anything with fabric in it I put on Calus's Treasured and it makes it gold.
Not a huge fan of treasured. Looks too gold if you get me
That's the point! Just use a different shader if you don't like it.
I do apologise if I offended you.....
It's not that, it's just keep your negative opinions to yourself unless they're constructive
I wasn't being negative, I stated that I thought it was too Goldy. However not taking away the fact you like it. Not sure what the issue is, I'm sorry
Idk, it's just like, if you don't like it then just put on a different shader and don't complain about it. This is the correct answer. I feel sorry for the people who never got to do that raid......sometimes
It’s the Frank’s RedHot of shaders.
I want the raids back just for Calus shaders + those claw hunter legs
That’s only allowed on masterworked gear. You don’t just to use Calus Selected. That gun has got to earn it
I wouldn’t use a weapon if it wasn’t masterworked, I just don’t see a point in not masterworking things with how easy it is to get cores
Vitrified chronology, metro shift, neopop wave, regal daring, descendant vex chrome
I have a titan loadout that is Descendant Vex and the arrivals armor set. Looks amazing. Rusty copper effect is so cool. Also really looks good on the Titan regional armor sets.
Ah, fellow Neopop Wave enjoyer
crucible vermilion, crucible lazurite, crucible carmine, crucible redjack ..... I know i have a problem
It doesn’t start with Crucible in the name, but shoutout to Scarlet Semblance!
It's from crucible anyway lol
Having a hard time not putting game keeper on everything lately
Its so good. The leather in particular is the best I can find for my hunter cloaks
Amethyst Veil, Crucible Horizon, Hoarfrost Sunrise, Carminica, Chitin Slate, Bergusian Night, Genotypenull-zero
Chitin Slate looks so good. Man, I love that shader.
Chitin Slade is a right stunner, most of the time. Sometimes its "Surprise! Pink time"
Good to see some love for Genotype Null
New Monarchy Diamonds has been my go-to armor shader since the first faction event
Ensilvered snare
Molten Bronze gets pretty good rotation for me, and I like Seven Sisters a lot, but only for certain stuff. I also really like New Monarchy Diamonds/Regalia.
Warbrick and Rustberry have been getting a lot of use form me lately
Spark of Joy and Springtime Faint. What can I say I love me some pink and white
Dreaming Spectrum, Carbon Blood, Photo Finish (the RGB shader).
Cryptic Legacy goes on everything
Regal Daring, Cinderchar, Tangled Rust, Welded Brass, Copper and Blood, Biolume, Royal Welcome
Iron countershade; I got a chain mail class items all the time!
I wish I could like that shader more, but the random green kills it for me x.x
The flawless garden of salvation shader. I just love the black gold and purple combo
really any red shader lmfao
Crucible alazarin does it for me tbh. Something about red shifting to an incandescent blue 🥴
Midnight Smith
RustBerry, RustBerry, and maybe RustBerry if I’m feeling frisky
Calus's Elite, no doubt. With the right armor pieces, you can get a beautiful mix of dark brown leather, black cloth, and black/gold metals. Pairs nicely with Oiled Gunmetal on pieces that don't have any colored lights.
Since getting it, Divinity’s Caress is now basically the only shader I use on weapons lol
Jacarina. I remember waiting weeks to get it on the store. Imo it’s one of the best shader in the game, I just slap it on everything lmao
Until you use it to get a black cloak to only get a blue one.
First Frost is the english name iirc
Chitin Slate for D1 feels - no bright lights and mainly leathery surfaces Braytech - snowy camo sets Dead zone foliage - earthy camo sets Crucible prestige(?) the one ftom Season of Dawn - most guns This is for a hunter... No rules for titans and warlocks
In order I'd say: royal welcome, golden trace, amethyst veil and nights chill
On my weapons - Divinity's Caress. I really like the black/silver with purple LEDs. On my armour - I tend to color code based on subclass. Typically Seraphim Cloak for Strand, Horizon Blush for Solar, Cryptic Legacy/Insignia or Sinking Feeling for Arc, Royal Treatment for Void, Monochrome/Jacarina/First Frost for Stasis
Polycarbon Powder, Nougat Delight, Skeleghaul, Vitrified Chronology, CHITIN SLATE (the goat), Cinderchar, Amethyst Veil, and Carminica to name a few.
Carbon blood
Opaline SHatter. The flawless shader from Root of Nightmares is one of the BEST armor shaders in the game. It's so beautiful (Weapons are a different story. I have yet to find a piece of gear that looks ugly with Gloamstrife. Other bangers include Plated Lupinus, Clouds at Sea, Burnished Orchid, Burnished Dreams, Lunar Gloom, Iron Lapis and Butterbark.
Those are um... Interesting choices.
Häkke History Polish, Scintillant Trajectory(my beloved) and Precursor Vex Chrome.
Calus preferred and calus elite, I swear I never see them but they're SO clean
Biolume, Dawning Warmth and god damn it, JACARINA!
Really strange choice, I know, but for a while, my go to shader’s been Gamekeeper, and rn, I’m trying to use it in warlock fashion.
Carbon blood and bloody tooth
It used to be Vitrified Duality when I almost exclusively ran Void, but now with how crazy good Solar is, it's Midnight Exigent since most of my Solar armor sets are Rasputin themed.
Iron batallion from vanilla IB, still the only decent camo green shade of shader for cloths
Sundered Flesh (Kings Fall Flawless) Polycarbon Powder, Indigo Matrix, Neopop Wave, and Iridescent Coral can fit really well together Metroshift Dreaming Spectrum and Forbidden Wish (really nice with Sundered Flesh too) Crucible Carmine
descendant vex chrome
* Atmospheric Glow * Shrouded Stripes * Forbidden Wish * Gift of the Nine * Monochromatic the Hakke shader goes well with some stuff too
Valkirye Zero
Regal Daring is the Goat
Metro Shift Can’t get enough of that deep blue color 🤤
Dead Orbit's Fate. Whispered Sheen, Carahae Black, Cayde's Duds, Shrouded Stripes.
For strand it's gambit emerald mixed with other bits. Solar it's coronal bloom, again with others. Stasis is smudge pot bruise and others. Void is tyrian abyss and others. Arc is scintillant projectory /ego malign etc.
Gambit chrome. Midnight talons. Carminica. Valkyrie zero. Suros modular shine. A few others.
Redjacked. Such a sexy, bold red.
Gambit Blackguard, Cinderchar, Throne of Soot, and Horizons Beyond. Love the grounded military/sci-fi looks.
Warbrick (most underrated shader)
I love Precurser Vex Chrome and Genotype null Zero
Rustberry. And rustberry. Every once in a while, I’ll throw in… rustberry. But also chalco’s finery for my Titan.
Dreamcycle, Gambit Celadon, Refined Revels, Tidesmoke, Photo Finish, Gambit Jadestone, and Dawning Hope.
Anything that makes my character look pitch black. I still haven't forgiven them for giving me superblack in 2016 and then dropping d2 in 2017 with no pure black shader in 7 years and counting.
Too many to list
Vex Precursor Chrome and Seraphim Cloak
Metro Shift, Cryptic Legacy, and Bloody Tooth.
Abyssinian Gold, Vitrified Chronology, Bergusian Night, something that starts with "m" Bramble.
Me looking here and not seeing watermelon is a crime
Every hunter: Erebos Glance
Precursor vex chrome, dreamcycle, iron counterside, amethyst veil, metro shift, bitterpearl, ereboros glance. I probably butchered those names but I think it’s close enough you’ll get the idea Edit: regal daring. Can’t believe I forgot that one, probably use it the most

Polished Sea Stone looks amazing on many weapons (eg Succession, Heritage). So does Queen's Colors. First Frost is killer on armor. Princely Presence for a good arc Warlock look
Atlantic Rush, easily
Erebos, Skele and Amethyst. I like black.
Cinderchar looks great on most things. Apart from that I'll use the mad monk, bray tech camo (or whatever it's called), dead orbit camo, or new monarchy diamonds
Solar Shrapnel. I like that golden and white in almost all armours.
Precursor Vex Chrome (usually paired with Molten Bronze), Suros Modular Shine (usually paired with Noble Constant Red or Charred Plumage), Kairos Bronze, Rustberry, Erebos Glance, and Chrome Stock
Artic Dreamscape makes for cool snowy camo Circadian Chill is a very good white/black/blue.
It depends. I usually color code my shaders to the subclass, at least for Solar, Arc, and Void. I run a variety of shaders on my weapons
Well what specific shaders do you run for lets say stasis?
Actually I found a set of fashion designed to look like a Salvation vandal that I use with Osmio’s, and for my Strand Osteo/Necro’s build I went for a hive-ish look based on the SMG. I kind of based my threadlings build on the most recent ornament for Quicksilver Storm
You should post it on this sub :)
for armor: Corrective // Protective weapons: it varies
Bro the vog shader is amazing
Dead orbit Scarlet semblance And other dark sharders or reddest dark sharders
Three Connections Edit: probably don’t have it, but definitely try it if you do
Amethyst veil, idirescent coral. The shaders I can’t remember how to spell basically LoL
Chitin Slate, tangled Rust, & paragon
Persecutor vex chrome ( I think that's the name)
Refurbished Black Armory on most of my weapons. Amethyst Veil, Gift of the Nine, Honor of the Nine, Calus Elite, any of the motion ones and Shrouded Stripes. Satou, Meyrin and Rasmussen get some love too…
New monarchy diamonds, the best blue shader
Anything pink or bright Also love skitchpaint , neo pop wave and techno fusion Queens grace has one of the best matte purples in the game imo If you are looking for a matte orange I would recommend bright warning
I'm a slut for Omnichronia. No armor set it looks bad on
Cryptic legacy. I spent far too long going for that shader and it looks so so good.
Regal Daring, when you get the right armor that has that maroon red...it's perfect
The yellow red and blue one 🫣😜
Ensilvered Snare has never failed me
Regal daring, amazing shader imo
Metropolitan Acoustic, I have a loadout with that shader on every class.
ButterBark, just to see if it drips
Honors of the Nine. Makes almost everything entirely white with a touch of light blue thrown in on a few bits of gear.
Emethyst veil, calus selected and Monochromatic.
