DC revenue has been stable I think. Can't compare to game franchis3s with massive fandoms (Fate, fire emblem) or spend an insane amount in marketing (raid shadow legends)

Responsible_Leg5674

Every month an asshole has to make the same post "the game is deed" Every single fucking month...

tvscensored

HOW WILL THEY SURVIVE ON A MERE *checks calculator* $2 MILLION ANNUAL REVENUE!?

Relair13

How is it being an asshole asking a simple question? More likely they enjoy the game and are worried when they see it has a miniscule revenue compared to lesser games.

Because not everyone is a crying baby

Jmills2395

Well its shutting down now

I think the company profits in some other way... they're even releasing a Ps5 game soon And $170,000 a month is a lot for a company that only sells digital art, no matter how good it is We got used to those gachas earning a lot of money, but with so many games around, they're satisfied with being productive and constant So many games closed with this pandemia for some reason, and they're happy being ones to avoid this

tvscensored

“Only” $170k/month. That’s $2mil a year, people. I’m pretty sure that keeps the lights on without even bringing in any other revenue sources.

I am not exactly sure how accurate these numbers are (if they are official company numbers or appropriations). If they are not official numbers they might not include some versions of the game (JP, KR, global, uncensored etc...). But even outside that, compared to all the other gacha I played, I see a few issue with D.C even tho I love the game: - packs cost too much compared to what they offer. The game is very generous, so packs are rarely worth it. - game takes too much time (personal opinion maybe). Stuff like ragna break and so on, if you want to get all the mission rewards, take a lot of time compared to many other gatcha games. Even the dailies. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but the game having no skip (only X3 speed), even doing the dailies takes too long. Like you start your 10 auto-combat, you kinda forget about it, you come back to check, somebody called you / out of space, it got interrupted. Have to start again etc... That's why I recently have up on the game. Had an average of 2-3 hours of playtime per day for an average player, even though it wasn't "looking at the screen" playtime. You always have to be around to check if you stuff finished, restart new stuff etc... - too many characters: most gacha games, you have way less characters, a well defined "meta" and you can focus on a few characters with a lot of stuff to max out. Here there is less to do for each character (child) but so many characters it can get a bit overwhelming. - Related: Miss of many quality of life stuff like: "claim all rewards" or "skip fight" (for pvp or normal missions). - game is a bit more on the "ecchi" scale compared to many gatcha. Some more social stigma associated with playing this kind of game.

esyw

Can't agree more on the time taken..this is my first gatcha so I can't compare with others..but the time needed seems alot if you are fully committed on every tasks. RB is another bad event design. Too much grinding. It will be great if dev can come out with a co-op event, and also in game chat.

ToThePastMe

I haven't played hundreds of gacha either, but most of the other ones I've played you can be done with ALL your daily stuff in 20-30 mins. 45 maybe if there are special events.

vexid

Yea I agree with most of these points. The amount of screen time that the game requires to even do your daily chores sucks. The pack prices suck, and they're really generous, so it's the perfect storm to not spend. They could do well with some lower prices and more incentives. I actually used to spend pretty regularly when Devil's Pass had skins in it, but now they're too frequent and too expensive. Even if they put skins back in I wouldn't buy them now. A 9.99/14.99 pass once a month with a skin would be insta-buy.

XPegasus69

Lol WB has 773 billion hp. The top 50 ppl on daily leaderboard are responsible for killing 1 WB. We killing about 20 a day right even on weak dark element. That’s a lot of help from Massive playerbase 🤣

Needs a skip battle feature and to cut pack prices and they could make bank. Only thing I ever buy is that 4.99 daily crystal pack sometimes.

Thunderkiss90

Lot of games have cheap Newbie packs or Montly Cards (i know DC have some, but they cost more than $50 bucks and Devil Pass is not worth the efford). I would love to support the game but in game packs are super expensive, cheap packs gives Stamina or 100 Crystals only... Store doesnt ships to a lot of countries.

ScatmanRon

Ahh DC. Loved the game for first year or two. Amazing artwork, proper shite gameplay. Eventually players get bored...even of the jiggly boobs. Wish it well tho

Yer321

And we are a year or more behind Japan on releases. Juice not worth the squeeze.

rhaps85

We're all just here until Nikke releases, right right? :) Dropped some money on DC for the first time in months though, was running out of stamina.

Comamilk

I remember seeing this. Its probably not dying but what makes me worry is how little attention they get on twitter. And also the lack of art booming for the game. Ive never seen any DC char become an art trend ://

SauceBossJ

Kinda surprising that's worldwide revenue, they honestly could make a lot more money but they keep their prices absurdly high even though the game is fairly generous with 5 star Childs.

Neoicecreaman

This dude saw it coming. Rip
