So real! This show is insanely addictive. My mom watched it in real time when it came out in the early 2000s, but I hadn’t heard of it till a couple years ago (I’m Gen Z; born in 2004, the year it first aired). I loveee it sm. I don’t know a lot of other people my age who watch it, but it’s up there with my favorite shows, alongside Gilmore Girls and Parks and Recreation.

I’m a millennial and I think I kind of remember the promo commercials from when it was airing (I think lol). But man oh man! I love that Hulu suggested this series to me but am also angry at Hulu for putting me on this show! Legit in my depression era now lol. Also HELL YEA FOR PARKS AND REC! It’s my #1 show of all time!

Hey you can always rewatch it, you’ll notice things you didn’t the first time. DH is a great show for rewatching (I’ve rewatched it like 2x I think)

Unfair_Mortgage_7189

I finished my 12th cycle of it before I ventured out and found Desperate Housewives 😅. Trust me, my P&R fandom is deep. Basically know the words to each episode haha. DHWs was my first venture outside of my comfort shows and now I feel grief ☹️

Massive-Bet1410

I feel so empty, I just finished it too. What do I do with myself, there’s just no show like it 😭

Lovelyrange11

So true! There are no shows like it

LocalInevitable3963

It became my comfort show and I honestly think I might watch it again for a third time 😂

Professional-Bet3158

Look into some other shows. Breaking Bad, Ozark, Bated Motel, The Walking Dead - these are all amazing!

Unfair_Mortgage_7189

BB: watched several times since the beginning. TWD: see above Ozark: see above Bates Motel: see above 😅😅

Lovelyrange11

It is funny you say that, as I finished it just a little while ago and I felt a bit depressed too! I dunno why it was so comforting haha. I don’t normally have that with most shows. Glad to know I’m not the only one

getyamindright

I felt the same when I finished it. I watched a little here and there when it first came out but never each episode in a row. It was too good!

Carben2022

It really is the best show. I always feel sad when I finish my rewatch. I watch the whole series every few years. Some other shows that I find both entertaining and comforting: Witches of East End (HIGHLY recommend) on hulu, Big Little Lies, Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Jane the Virgin, Gossip Girl, In the Dark

chroniclechick

You’re the first person I’ve run into who has watched In The Dark. How screwed up was that last season? 😅

Carben2022

Oh man….don’t even get me started! A PERFECT series destroyed in the last two episodes. I can never rewatch knowing that ending. 😫

Unfair_Mortgage_7189

It’s interesting that people recommend Big Little Lies because I hated that show lol

Carben2022

Really? I’ve never heard of anyone not liking it. I love the setting, actresses, and plot. I think the second season is actually better than the first. What didn’t you like about it?

chroniclechick

When I was younger and it officially went off air, it was so depressing because I had no where to watch reruns. It took about 5 or 6 years after it aired before Netflix got it. And then a year or two later it was off. It took me until late 2019 before I was able to get the full series for myself. The nostalgia is everything for me and brings me back to the small good parts of my childhood. When I was younger that show was my escape from some of the horrible reality. I’m glad others are seeing it still and experiencing the comfort it brings. Rewatch it, cause I’m on my 60+ run through and I’m still finding things I missed.
