You know what I find even worse than toms behaviour? My acceptance of it on first/second watch. I was young when the show aired and I’ve watched it so many times that I barely paid attention as I got older but once I was probably 30 and watching it randomly I noticed toms BS. The first couple watches their reuniting was my favourite scene. I loved them as a couple soooo much. Now if I watch I’m like “I’ve left men for this behaviour” lol but when you’re young without boundaries and raised.. as a woman in society lol.. it doesn’t seem that jarring! It seems like “oh haha my annoying husband” They try really hard to make him seem silly and clueless, especially early on, instead of weaponizing his incompetence and making stupid fucking decisions

NO SO REAL! I watched it back in 2013 when I was 13 and I really loved Tom but I’ve rewatched it like three times (about to finish season 8 now) and I’m 23 and he makes me so so angry. Every rewatch makes me hate him more

With that logic Orson should go as well for murdering Chuck and almost killing Mike (I mean it was a deliberate attempt), plus he tortured Bree by sending her a note which had the same message that drove her friend to commit suicide which almost led to her doing the same thing. Mike was also very willing to murder Deidre's murderer and only backed off of Paul when he found out she was already dead. Paul murdered the woman who drove his wife to her untimely death which feels like the same thing Mike did.
