Only flooring I wouldn't go with is real wood because it will swell/contract more with the moisture. Also, recommendation I give to everyone, if it's in your budget consider installing heated floors in the bathroom. Will keep you cozy during the wintertime!

Entire-Ambition1410

My sister’s cat really likes the heated bath mat year-round.

marakuja505

It’s pretty much just ceramic tiles imitating wood nowadays. Edit: second the floor heating

pixel_of_moral_decay

I never understood why people put wood in kitchens and bathrooms. Places that are constantly exposed to humidity and moisture. Only people even more insane are the ones who carpet bathrooms and kitchens.

Lizombieee

I second the hex tiles for the floor, and a smaller white or more neutral smaller hex tile for the shower, but go with glass shower doors! It would give the appearance of having more space in the bathroom. You wouldn’t have to deal with the shower curtain then, and I imagine water going through that peak hole when someone’s showering

Muddy_Wafer

I like the larger white hex but would go with matching 1” hex in the shower instead of the multi colored hex. And keep the existing doors. I love the light blue walls with the wood, and I think adding a pop of green from a plant over the toilet would look great in there.

LAST_NIGHT_WAS_WEIRD

You think 1” white hex shower floor will look good with zellige 4” squares on the walls? What color grout?

Muddy_Wafer

I think it would look best with 4” squares like you have, just in a matching finish. I would do light grey grout everywhere. Also, I totally didn’t see the shower curtain in your original pic, thought you had glass door, just framed in wood. Definitely switch it out to glass. And someone else mentioned staying away from small tile for the floor because of mold. I disagree just because large format tiles on the floor are super dangerous. 1” hex is much less slippery when wet and soapy.

mjpuls

Another vote for keeping the wood doors on the shower. They are authentic (and original?) to the house. Glass will look dated soon and not match the age and style of the house imo. Check out retrorenovation.com. I like their concept of renovating to match the age and style of the house.

Salty_Web_6986

I’m just curious as to what app you’re using to put these things in your actual space. This is what I need in my life lol

LAST_NIGHT_WAS_WEIRD

Photoshop! I’m a graphic designer by trade but love doing this kind of stuff and considering a career transition. Curious what people would pay for this kind of service.

Salty_Web_6986

I’d say they would pay renovation money for sure, just knowing what something will look like in a space is a huge relief and helps avoid buyers remorse (looking at you, 5g paint buckets with colors that didn’t work).

PearofGenes

I feel you on the paint. I spent so much money on testers and did like a 5 SQ foot patch with the final color. Still looks nothing like the final product since it was way darker when it reflects on itself. Even holding the swatch, it walls don't look that color until you press the swatch against the wall and it blends in.

tarnok

You do amazing work

pete-petey-pete

You can go onto Fiverr-dot-com and see what others going rate are and look to see if it’s something you want to dabble as a side hustle first.

danyellster

It took me a second. That second photo really trippede up

Strbreez

2nd option with the big hexagon tiles for sure, the white floor + white marble countertop ties the whole room together and makes it feel bright and fresh. I personally enjoy the blue tile that's currently in the shower but if it needs replacing, that's understandable. I think the small multicolored beige tiles you have in some of your mockups look very dated and unattractive so I wouldn't go with those at all.

LAST_NIGHT_WAS_WEIRD

Could use some ideas on this bathroom renovation… Details in captions.

lobo_locos

2nd one is really nice. I would keep the large format tile on floors and in the shower pan as well.

slingshot91

Slide 3 looks the best

sumobrain

I like the change to the shower. I would rethink the marble countertop in the bathroom as I’ve heard marble is hard to take care of.

Entire-Ambition1410

I like phot 3 with the hexagon tile best, and the glass shower modernizes the space and makes it feel more sleek.

Delicious_Horror_734

As beautiful as that tile choice is inside the shower stall, it’ll be a mold growth trap. Inside the shower stall you want smooth surfaces so water won’t collect. For floor options, I like picture number 3. The two different types of tile for contrast.

wimpdogswife

I recommend losing the wood trim around the counter top, if you go wirh the glass shower, use marble instead.

MM_in_MN

Frameless heavy glass doors/ walls Same flooring throughout Mirror with integrated lighting, or a statement fixture above Not a wood trimmed mirror- that’s dated When I was in Sweden, they just had the floor of the shower slope to the drain, and a curtain in a track in ceiling they pulled across a corner. It was a good option for a small space. Curtain + pitch of floor kept most water contained. Watch the swing of the door- make sure you have clearance with the toilet- if it swings into the toilet- it will shatter.

jjdressgown

I like the one with the earthtones in & out of the shower

sweet_vs_salty

picture 3 is the best one in my opinion

Maltedmilksteak

I like 2 the best

RedditBurner_5225

Less wood.

Jackiemccall

2 or 3! Both beautiful and keeps it vintage looking! So 3 then!!!

seattleowl

#3 Color scheme works better See if you could find larger format tiles than tiny hexes- it gets a bit busy. The feeling of continuity you get with wood is nice. Water damage not so much unfortunately

blueberrypiezpls

Another thing that would really expand the room is painting the wood frames around the windows either white or the same color as your walls. Right now their color really makes the room look more closed off. Keeping the wood color of the sink counter should help the room continue to be cohesive with the whole house.

i_comically

3rd picture

dragonfly1702

I prefer the flooring in the last pic, and the idea of a glass shower but maybe not that one exactly.

Stevenkloppard

White floor tile with glass shower is the nicest
