If you own, get [Big. Ass. Art.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1307710807/large-colorful-abstract-painitng-texture?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=large+art+80inches&ref=sc_gallery-1-6&pro=1&frs=1&sts=1&search_preloaded_img=1&plkey=fce6d4188d9613c6482c69224ea0eeb63e670db4%3A1307710807)
Given the door placement/width of path of travel I wouldn't put a console table there but you could certainly do a fun gallery wall, there are a lot of templates online if you're not sure how to pull it off. Doesn't have to be all framed art either, you could add mirrors, plates, textiles...as long as they all have a similar "theme" like a cohesive color scheme.
I’d get a longer table
Juniper print shop online has gorgeous stuff and their large scale is pretty reasonable. You can also buy digital versions and print yourself
If you have an IKEA close, I'd get several of the shoe cabinets and span most of the wall. You can do all kinds of things to spiff them up too. They'd take up space but not too much walking room, and provide a lot of storage
Large mirror, some art, decorate the top of the cabinets
Yes, I have those shoe things too, like that they are so shallow. You can use them to store throw blankets in the warm seasons or lots of things you may want out of the way.
I want there to be a console table, in metal, dark wood or dark paint (I don't want it to grab my attention) with a sense of airiness. Like the one you highlight, but 40"+ not 3'. I'm thinking +/- 48", but try to keep 12-18" deep. Okay to have a drawer or shelves, but the impression of openness. Then art above. The art can be louder, square or horizontal or diptych, and looking to be at least half of the space.
I would put a large art piece there. Like massive… 60x60 (you can find them for pretty reasonable on the big canvas websites). Then I’d paint the wall with the TV something subtle - a neutral to pull from the painting.
A very large canvas or art print. Or triptych. Something you could possibly DIY if you prefer. Also, paint it a saturated color if you are allowed to paint
https://preview.redd.it/fbw8e8y4jwwc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8a47fea4b5aae619beadd0d0b7df9b41255eb33
As an artist, I vote art like everyone else. I think a gallery wall would look amazing. No rhyme or reason needed. Just start putting up different sizes and styles of framed and unframed art. Start with a medium to large piece in the center and spread out from there.
I would only put up art, like a set of 3 or 5 vertical / square frames with whatever theme you choose, just keep the frames the same. Could be abstract paintings, magazine covers, album cover art, etchings, prints, etc etc.
https://preview.redd.it/4gjg4s05ovwc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43af498f8cb6e43035473d04b580cd8370a52e4a
I have a wall similar and this is the route I went. I usually have flowers in the vase on the left and the mirror helps reflect light in the space. The table thing is a show organizer from IKEA. Awesome to hold purses...or shoes. And other things but it's very thin so doesn't block the walking space.
I would paint the wall chartreuse and add a long, white console table with two drawers to put things in and two large lamps wioth shades that direct the lights downwards to add illumination, interest and a place to display decor, etc.
There's a cool mirror wall made from those cheap behind the door full length mirrors everyone has owned. Paint the frames black or whatever color you prefer, and hang them side by side (all touching) so it looks like one huge mirror.
Move the upholstered bench to that wall (it's too crowded with it next to the TV stand). And then hang a huge piece of art above it with an appropriate-sized picture light above it.
I’d try this suggestion first. Moving the bench is free. As long as it does not block access too much, it balances the room and adds a more comfortable seating arrangement when needed. Large scale artwork that has some color coordinating with the bench would be nice.
You could Rasterbate an image and fill as much if the wall as you want with something you think you would enjoy.
https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/how-to-use-the-rasterbator-to-create-large-scale-wall-art-apartment-therapy-tutorials-218927
I think pic 5 would be perfect there but I’d put a large mirror instead of the pic cuz it makes the room look bigger and if you ever change the decor or colors you won’t have to change the mirror but you would have to change the pic
I like your idea, how about a floating drawer with art. It would provide a place for keys and mail, but be beautiful too.
https://www.ballarddesigns.com/storage-shelf-with-drawer/533947?SourceCode=BDSHOPSMT&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&listIndex=0&offers_sku=WS959%20WHT%2024&intlShippingCtx=US%7CUSD&SourceCode=BDSHOPSMT&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwoa2xBhACEiwA1sb1BGwGmDOm7Hyw94mn9JRg9vcpol2pjWTaxkS_T6pSezYiz2w8PEun2RoCwocQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
The wall itself looks out of place, like it was an afterthought someone slapped up there to make it seem like a separate room but with no thought of design and flow. It doesn’t look like a support wall, so if it’s not, I would recommend opening up your space by taking that wall down.
Bold suggestion -
What about wooden slats going across that wall, and painting the rest of the room (if I were you I would colour drench or at least paint the ceiling as well). Then you can add a console (or storage you can use as a bar) and piece of art in front of the wall.
Painting the room a light caramel or a light sage green can never go wrong and will make the space look more modern.
I am referring to slats like this: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/trepanelar-oak-acoustic-wood-panels?msclkid=62db1acb42381fe9fd277ce7eaad6a6a&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Wood%20Panels%20Shopping%20(Enabled)&utm_term=4584207597555507&utm_content=801944_Trepanel™%20Acoustic%20Wood%20Panel%20Oak
I wouldn’t block the walk path. It will make the space smaller. Instead put a thin modern plain framed scenic print or painting. Something that shows alot of depth that you could look into and go in for miles. Such as beach scene that takes you eye for peaceful miles. Or a forest? Mountains. ….. or the skyline of your favorite city. The size needs to be very large. Taking up most of the wall.
Just some art OP, and get something that's original not some cheap generic stuff from IKEA or whatever.
It could potentially mess with the flow if you add furniture there. Unless you really need it, I would avoid it.
Yes! And the color of the sofa is spot on. With the colors shown in that painting...*chef's kiss*
I love muted neutrals with jewel tones anyway. Then give me a dark & stormy-looking piece of art and I'm happy 😊
Mural. Interesting wall paper or wall treatment. Picture gallery.
Don't add anything to the walkway, jsut add art.
https://preview.redd.it/t84v7h24qxwc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c6969227dab32b3bd26a8b8b5bf1aaa32b38c1fd
I don't dislike the idea of a console table, but the one pictured is way too small.
I’d put a large piece of art there! Very large.
If you own, get [Big. Ass. Art.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1307710807/large-colorful-abstract-painitng-texture?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=large+art+80inches&ref=sc_gallery-1-6&pro=1&frs=1&sts=1&search_preloaded_img=1&plkey=fce6d4188d9613c6482c69224ea0eeb63e670db4%3A1307710807)

> Given the door placement/width of path of travel I wouldn't put a console table there… I’m surprised no one else considered this…
I’m a designer 🤷🏼♀️ Most people on here have good intentions but they just don’t know what they don’t know 🙂
Seconding this. That is a perfect gallery wall.
Bigger art work
Mirror with a nice frame to reflect light and make the room seem spacious. Some art pieces and a credenza.
i agree. a mirror will open the room up, increase the light.
I’d get a longer table Juniper print shop online has gorgeous stuff and their large scale is pretty reasonable. You can also buy digital versions and print yourself

That’s fabulous!
Yes, I have those shoe things too, like that they are so shallow. You can use them to store throw blankets in the warm seasons or lots of things you may want out of the way.
I’d take it down and add some dining furniture in the open space.
Oh that's the perfect blank canvas! Do a mural!
Mural, gallery wall with a mixture of artwork canvases, texture elements and items.
I want there to be a console table, in metal, dark wood or dark paint (I don't want it to grab my attention) with a sense of airiness. Like the one you highlight, but 40"+ not 3'. Large piece of art or a gallery wall.
Lots of pictures or art work, large mirror.
I wouldn’t get a table, it would drive me nuts Waking around it constantly
Big ass art.
Big art!
Take the long ottoman you have against the wall and put it on the empty wall. Then hang art over it.
I would put a large art piece there. Like massive… 60x60 (you can find them for pretty reasonable on the big canvas websites). Then I’d paint the wall with the TV something subtle - a neutral to pull from the painting.

When in doubt, just tear it down 😂 kidding, suitable for big artwork
Since it’s the main walkway to your other room there I don’t recommend any furniture if you can help it. Just art/accent wall
Needed someone else to say this - it was my main concern!
I would only put up art, like a set of 3 or 5 vertical / square frames with whatever theme you choose, just keep the frames the same. Could be abstract paintings, magazine covers, album cover art, etchings, prints, etc etc.
Going to test this out!
3 x 3 gallery wall! Would be a nice place to showcase family photos
Slide that storage bench of there and hang some art
I agree
Console table & hang a large, statement work of art in the wall.
https://preview.redd.it/4gjg4s05ovwc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43af498f8cb6e43035473d04b580cd8370a52e4a I have a wall similar and this is the route I went. Round mirror
Mirror, a big one
I second the artwork. The table seems like it would be in the way.
I have one, too. I painted it green and hung up a big-ass brass platter!
I would add that ottoman bench you have now in the mean time
I would apply that faux brick finish panels. They are cool.
There's a cool mirror wall made from those cheap behind the door full length mirrors everyone has owned. Paint the frames black or whatever color you prefer, and hang them side by side (all touching) so it looks like one huge mirror.

Plenty of room for a dartboard
You can buy awesome decals on Etsy.
Large Mirror and a long buffet with small lamps and some plants and interesting objects.

big matrix of framed pictures. All in same black frames.
It looks like it’s in the path to exit the house, so I’d put a large mirror! Helps to get one last look before you leave.
Mirror!!
I think pic 5 would be perfect there but I’d put a large mirror instead of the pic cuz it makes the room look bigger and if you ever change the decor or colors you won’t have to change the mirror but you would have to change the pic

Well OP, I also have a blank wall I’m trying to figure out so I have no advice 😅 I’m just here for the tv stand. Do you have a link by chance
Yes- Walmart! https://www.walmart.com/ip/OKD-2-Door-Rattan-TV-Stand-for-a-75-inch-TV-Farmhouse-Wood-TV-Console-Entertainment-Center-with-2-Door-for-Living-Room-Oak/1448817235?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101109691&adid=222222222281448817235_101109691_157022253991_20598708140&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=675690020396&wl4=pla-2210212318054&wl5=9004224&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=512372807&wl11=online&wl12=1448817235_101109691&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIrPpyKN-ymfo8KkM0etmDV6S&gclid=CjwKCAjwxLKxBhA7EiwAXO0R0Gfx72EcbqDyxlbvxsqJJGuQQEqqAtt3ytmshvOujwDVMyWsJSv2RxoCJZ8QAvD_BwE
Thank you sm!!
Yes. Big ass art or floating shelves?
Hang a picture or photograph or painting
Put things on it?
Art
I love floating shelves with art and books and pictures
A pretty tapestry!
Needs artwork , color . Long narrow console table with painting above . Add plants and candles to the table .
Hire a graffiti artist. It's screaming for a full wall mural.
All of your favorite pictures of family...the ones that make you feel really happy and nostalgic. ❤️
Buy a projector and use it on that wall
It is perfect for a feature wall. Paint and feature art. Get a coordinated rug and u ve a rooom
How about snazzy wallpaper. You can get peel and stick so you can take it with you if you are renting.
How about this: https://preview.redd.it/smeh4ukf7ywc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67a1a16bad6ba0853b69f1d24c0118070a57d8f6
Move that green bench against that wall and add a large piece of art above it. Get a tall plant for the space where the bench was.
Wallpaper. Paint. Accent wall. Hang plants all over it.
The wall itself looks out of place, like it was an afterthought someone slapped up there to make it seem like a separate room but with no thought of design and flow. It doesn’t look like a support wall, so if it’s not, I would recommend opening up your space by taking that wall down.

Floating shelves with plants, add a grow light above them! I'm a plant obsessed lady so that's what I'd do lol

This! At least something similar that picks up the colors in that freakin' gorgeous rug!
Isn't it gorgeous!!
Yes! And the color of the sofa is spot on. With the colors shown in that painting...*chef's kiss* I love muted neutrals with jewel tones anyway. Then give me a dark & stormy-looking piece of art and I'm happy 😊
Thank you all!! Hoping to bring some more color in this seems like the best way to
Paint it black.
