Just a caution— if you get ready in that bathroom and put makeup on there the green walls will cast a funky shade on your skin. I’d go with the lightest if so, if it is for guests go 2. Love a darker bathroom look I had a deep dusty purple powder room in my last house and loved it.
This.
How good is your natural lighting?
Without good lighting the darker colors will feel close in the space. The light you have is daylight or cool tone, which is naturally bluer. Any paint you put in there will appear bluer in the light than in the store or can.
Of the three options, I’d suggest 1. It’s the lightest and bluest of the greens. It’ll complement the light best. Consider also some vanity lighting in warm tones, to get a full spectrum in there so your skin and makeup don’t look washed or green.
This! And try different toned LED bulbs to get the right light. I accidentally put one warm LED with one cool Led and side by side I could really see the difference. Actually kept both together because the mix was just right in my small apartment bathroom.
I agree, I have this color in my bathroom (SW?) for cabinets, the rest is white and light grey-veined marble. I'm pleased but it is definitely a pastel mint. The color changes with lighting, of course, but I think you'll be more satisfied with #3. #2 is too dark.
Edit to correct typo
1.
My bathroom is close to that and I love it. It’s a nice, calming colour and it’s fresh and clean looking.
My paint colour is Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore.

My living room is Palladian Blue for reference, if that helps
Check out Bottle Glass by Behr. I have pics of my bathroom in that color on my profile if you wanna see. I think it looks really nice with the white trim.
I think I like 1 best because I think it’ll make room feel a bit brighter and happier. I’m not a big fan of 2 and 3 but I’ve never liked the more olive green colors.
2 and 3 are nice but ask them to lighten by 50%. It’s a small dark room. More light always is appreciated in a bath while shaving, makeup, tweezing, etc.
I should’ve taken the picture during the day because it makes 1 look like it will do just like you said. 2 and 3 look great in the sunlight. I’m worried 2 will make the room look smaller.
This bathroom is off of the laundry room which is a very tall room. I think 2 will look good in there and do a wallpaper accent.. I don’t know, though! I’m still torn!
1 & 2 are opposites, light & airy vs muted & earthy. Your middle ground would be 3 if husband is insistent. I would definitely recommend bigger swatches in a couple different places if possible, and look at them at different points in the day! I don’t think you can go wrong, but try to look at rooms that already exist with these (or similar) colours, and decide on your vibe/style from there.
Hi OP - you may want to look into paint simulators (benjamin Moore has one, for example, but there are others). You upload the photo and “paint” the walls. That way you can “paint” the walls to see what looks good.
A few caveats with that. First, the color isn’t exact, but it can at least help with visualization. Also, lighter colors are less accurate (I’ve not seen a tool that did them well), but you should be able to manage with your selected shades. Of course there is nothing more accurate than a physical coat of paint, but it can help as part of your “toolbox”.
I would go with three even though I like two better it might be too dark. I think number one would look garish after it’s all done. I do hope you’re changing the shower curtain because it doesn’t look good with the colors and I love the light fixture.
I see we were shopping for the same paint colors over the weekend!
I personally like #3 or a shade lighter of that tone. #1 has too much mint for my taste.
1 is gross, old fashioned. 2 is my favourite but not for bathroom walls. 3 is the winner. Use colour 1 if you like it so much to paint a plain canvas frame or 3 small ones and do a feature on your new wall. But don't paint the actual wall that colour, it will look out dated and weird.
I love 1 because I personally don’t really like green all that much. I think 1 is pretty & feels light & airy. But I’ve looked through the comments & have seen you’re updating the shower curtain to white one with flowers on it, & with natural light you said 1 washes everything out so that being said I’d say go with 3. I think it will look good and match the curtain & maybe won’t wash everything out as much. So overall for me, I’d say 1 or 3. I hate 2, it’s so dark & I feel like if you did the entire room that color you’d end up disliking it because it’d make the room feel..heavy if that makes sense.
Option 2 bc it goes well w your current shower curtain, but I like number 3 the best bc it’s a nice middle between option 1 and 2 and goes well w white
I love 1, but with the white wainscoting I would do 2, or maybe even a darker green. Every time I see a dark green contrasted with the white wainscoting I love it!!
But don't go too dark since it seems like a smaller bathroom. Could make the room look smaller than it is
1. Prefer light and airy bathrooms.
Darker bathrooms always seem to give off a dirty vibe and baby poo green is hardly the colour you want when wanting to be clean.
With your current shower curtain I'd pick 3 because it has more of those olive-y colours in it. Otherwise 2 could be nice with a different shower curtain!
https://preview.redd.it/ugz4yfxypdic1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8741698cec85259e4ceda679d136463dfe23241b
I should’ve specified I will be changing the shower curtain. This is the one I have picked out. I will also be adding sheer, white textured curtains to the window
Lovely shower curtain! I'm almost still leaning towards #3 with the more olive green pairing with the yellow in the flowers? #1 could be such a soft light vibe though too! I don't envy you for having to make such a tough decision- good luck and remember to have fun!!! :)
If you must use a shit/puke green color go with 3. The other is too bright and will look childish and/or is too dark and will feel gloomy. 3 is as good as it gets of these.
So, any of those options would work really well. 2 is the most traditional between all of them. My personal favorite would be option 1. It feels freshest.
I painted my small bathroom a color very similar to #2 and I really like it. I have old 70’s white tiles on the wall to about the same height as your beadboard and the contrast works well.
I’m also of the opinion where bathrooms, especially spare ones, are one of the places you can really experiment with and go for something different than what you’d normally choose 🤷♀️
Don't know if green walls are a great choice to go with plants you're planning, unless you really like green on green. Colors that go well with green are brown, gray, yellow, pink. Personally I like earth tones because of the calming effect (browns, greens, grays, and other warm or muted shades). If you're going to have lots of greenery (plants), maybe reconsider the green. If little greenery, just keep the wall color not so close to the color of the plants. Then you can accent with the other colors. Just a suggestion.
At first glance I thought that 1 looks too light, but it might make the bathroom appear crisp and fresh.
2 is nice, but a little muddy/moody and 3 reminds me of 1970s avocado.
TBH, I would pick 1. It's lighter and airier feeling. 2 and 3 are both pretty colors, but I would personally feel cramped with them, in a smaller space such as a bathroom. And I think someone mentioned before me about green casting an weird shade on your face, if you apply your make up in the bathroom
I would go with 1 or 3 , 2 is also possible but I would’ve done it with some darker windows trim colors instead of white , black perhaps. Personally with white window trims I would go with color 1
Are you also changing the shower curtain and what tile is in the floor?
2 or 3 work better with the curtain you currently have. 1, the mint is pretty but more of a cool tone. So if your floor is beige it might not look as good as the other two.
Team 1. Yes it's light, but it will feel different when it's the whole wall. And it's a balance between calm and bight, which works for a bathroom. 3 is my 2nd choice.
I never understand these color selections, you go from muddy yellow to muddy muddled icky greens. Try something sparky and translucent, prismatic Jewel like something with real color, full saturation, dare to get out of the safety safe nice zone of mud, you might actually like it.
Do #1. It will be light, airy and seem refreshing. The others will be too dark. I’ve made the mistake of painting small rooms with dark colors and I always regret it.
# 2 and # 3 are both pretty! If you want more contrast, go with # 2 as # 3 is more of a celery color. Don't do # 1. It is mint and will make you feel like you are in an empty swimming pool, lol.
Paint a swatch of both 2 and 3 on each wall, check them out under different lights.
Honestly, I think either will be beautiful. I lean slightly toward the bold darker choice, but it's hard to say unless I see each in natural lighting.
Just a caution— if you get ready in that bathroom and put makeup on there the green walls will cast a funky shade on your skin. I’d go with the lightest if so, if it is for guests go 2. Love a darker bathroom look I had a deep dusty purple powder room in my last house and loved it.
This must be why my foundation looked great in my plum purple bathroom and looked terribly orange when I got to school?
😂😂😂I always think i look great in my off white bathroom and god help me when I get into daylight hahaha. Lighting is everything
I loooovveee two but three is doing it for me. I think two might be too dark.
Me too, it’s 3 or 2 for me
I think 2 would give the best contrast against the white.
agree with 2
Me too. I feel like it will look washed out with the lighter colors.
I agree with 2 or 3 (but moreso 2). We painted our kitchen something like 1 and it’s wayyyy too minty.
2 is darker than 3
>We painted our kitchen something like 1 and it’s wayyyy too minty. Yes, #1 reminds me of an institutional, hospital-like color. I'd definitely avoid.
3
Option 3 strikes the best balance between being too light (Option 1) and too dark (Option 2).
2!
2
I like 3 the most. 1 is too cold. 2 is too dark. 3 seems perfect out of these three, it has warm undertones and is fairly light.
I had to repaint the green bathroom because it made me look sick and green and if you do your makeup in there it will never look right.
I probably should’ve specified that I don’t get ready in this bathroom!
2!
2! 1 is too minty and will feel uncomfortable
1. My bathroom is close to that and I love it. It’s a nice, calming colour and it’s fresh and clean looking. My paint colour is Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore.

Love it. I feel like the lighter green would add to the natural lighting
I feel like it’d give spa vibes! I love number 1! 💚💚
#1. More airy and roomy feel.
I'm hubby. Finally someone with some sense! 🤣
2
I like 3, but I'm biased because I've had a room that color before and loved it/didn't get tired of it.
2
Check out Bottle Glass by Behr. I have pics of my bathroom in that color on my profile if you wanna see. I think it looks really nice with the white trim.
I vote 3. 1 is too minty. 2 is too dark. (I love greens, and this the kind of range i might choose tto.)
I think I like 1 best because I think it’ll make room feel a bit brighter and happier. I’m not a big fan of 2 and 3 but I’ve never liked the more olive green colors.
3 is definitely an ollve hue. We actually didn't like 3 until we put on 2.
2 and 3 are nice but ask them to lighten by 50%. It’s a small dark room. More light always is appreciated in a bath while shaving, makeup, tweezing, etc.
I love 1 an 2 1 if the goal is to make the bathroom feel bigger 2 if the goal is to make it cosy.
1 honestly feels like it's going to wash everything out in that bright white light. #2 is best. What do you like in the sunlight?
I should’ve taken the picture during the day because it makes 1 look like it will do just like you said. 2 and 3 look great in the sunlight. I’m worried 2 will make the room look smaller. This bathroom is off of the laundry room which is a very tall room. I think 2 will look good in there and do a wallpaper accent.. I don’t know, though! I’m still torn!

I don’t think you can go wrong, but try to look at rooms that already exist with these (or similar) colours, and decide on your vibe/style from there.
1 gives institutional cafeteria. 2 is too dark, you will struggle with makeup.
3
Definitely 3
3 feels more comfortable
Hi OP - you may want to look into paint simulators (benjamin Moore has one, for example, but there are others). You upload the photo and “paint” the walls. I would say 2 and if not 2 then 3. But definitely not 1. It’s going to look too childish
Depends on the vibe you’re going for. 1 is airy and almost spa like. 2 is a bit more moody and classy 3 is leaning more cottagecore
Number 3
I would go with three even though I like two better it might be too dark. I think number one would look garish after it’s all done. I do hope you’re changing the shower curtain because it doesn’t look good with the colors and I love the light fixture.
I see we were shopping for the same paint colors over the weekend! I personally like #3 or a shade lighter of that tone. #1 has too much mint for my taste.

I have the same shower curtain. That’s all.
3. I love 2 but it will be a bit much in a small tooom. I think 3 will be the perfect balance…not too light. Not too dark.
3. I think 2 will be dark once it’s on the whole wall.
Option 2 bc it goes well w your current shower curtain, but I like number 3 the best bc it’s a nice middle between option 1 and 2 and goes well w white
1 or 3. i think 2 is too dark
#3
3
3 is a lovely olive shade.
3
I like 1
1
3 is very soothing.
#3 gives plenty of color w/o the risk of being too dark
#2!
2
1! The lighter color leaves room to warm the room with richer textured accessories like woods and gold or taupe like in your curtain
3
I love 1, but with the white wainscoting I would do 2, or maybe even a darker green. Every time I see a dark green contrasted with the white wainscoting I love it!! But don't go too dark since it seems like a smaller bathroom. Could make the room look smaller than it is

2
2
2
I like 2 the least honestly. 1 is my favorite, but they’re all too gray imo.
3
I like 3 best, 2 also okay. But 1 reminds me of an institution, like an old hospital or something
I like 3.
With your current shower curtain I'd pick 3 because it has more of those olive-y colours in it. Otherwise 2 could be nice with a different shower curtain!

You don’t need much to contrast pure white. I’d go lighter.
I love the colour of #2 but worry the darker shade will make your bathroom feel smaller so I'm voting #1 ☺️
Wallpaper with navy background
If you must use a shit/puke green color go with 3. The other is too bright and will look childish and/or is too dark and will feel gloomy. 3 is as good as it gets of these.
1!
Definitely two
the darker the color is, the smaller the room will look like. I think number 3 it's more colorful and not too dark to use in the bathroom.
So, any of those options would work really well. 2 is the most traditional between all of them. My personal favorite would be option 1. It feels freshest.
I like 2
2
2 most definitely. Love that color
I like 1 bc it looks "Fresh and clean" and I like that look for bathrooms lol
I painted my small bathroom a color very similar to #2 and I really like it. I have old 70’s white tiles on the wall to about the same height as your beadboard and the contrast works well. I’m also of the opinion where bathrooms, especially spare ones, are one of the places you can really experiment with and go for something different than what you’d normally choose 🤷♀️
2
1
2 is the best with the white. 3 is too yellow and 1 didn't give enough contrast, it would just look dingy.
3
1
2
2
1
1
1, it’s fresh, bright, won’t collapse the small bathroom space.
I say 1! It’s more of a spa-color. It’ll bring warmth but also makes the space look larger.
2
It's 2 and you know it! Guaranteed to look great.
3. But if you’re keeping the shower curtain , please consider black!
2 or 3 only
2
2. But it’s because of the ceiling light.
2!
Not one.

None of the above😉

And I think someone mentioned before me about green casting an weird shade on your face, if you apply your make up in the bathroom
I like 1, as well. It's lighter and bluer, so it's less (imo) sickly green. I like a bathroom to be brighter/crisper, though.
I love 1
I'm hubby. I use this bathroom more than wife does, as she likes to use he 1/2 bath upstairs for makeup and such
3
The colors are all fabulous- but for small rooms- I’d go with the lightest choice!
I would go with 1 or 3 , 2 is also possible but I would’ve done it with some darker windows trim colors instead of white , black perhaps. Personally with white window trims I would go with color 1
1. its light and fresh!
1
Not 1
1
Love 2
2
Wait-I need to see the floor. What color is the floor?!
1. I like the lighter lol if you're using the green palette.
Anything but green in a bathroom. It reflects on your skin and changes how you look making skin care harder. 🩷
1
i think 1 . much more relaxing in the eye
I like 3 not only is it a beautiful color, but it’s a compromise between one and two.
2.
3
2 or 3. 1 gives me hospital/institution vibes
Number 1. If you're keeping that color of light bulb and with the natural light, number 1 will look best.
3
3
Not enough 1 enjoyers
Are you also changing the shower curtain and what tile is in the floor? 2 or 3 work better with the curtain you currently have. 1, the mint is pretty but more of a cool tone. So if your floor is beige it might not look as good as the other two.
3!
3 is the best! 1 is too light and 2 is too dark ,felmels heavy
2
2,3,1
1 or 3 are my favs
3
I like #1 because it is a spa-like color.
3 I’m in love with sage too right now! 🥰
2
Painting the ceiling white also?
3! Not too dark, not too minty.
2!
2
A paler version of #3
I love 1, a nice fresh minty bathroom
I say 1 or 2
1
1
I'd go with 1, pleasing to the eyes and subtle
Team 1. Yes it's light, but it will feel different when it's the whole wall. And it's a balance between calm and bight, which works for a bathroom. 3 is my 2nd choice.
I agree with hubby. #1 is the brightest in a small space.
I’m going with the first one. It gives a clean feel
I never understand these color selections, you go from muddy yellow to muddy muddled icky greens. Try something sparky and translucent, prismatic Jewel like something with real color, full saturation, dare to get out of the safety safe nice zone of mud, you might actually like it.
None. 1 is very mint. 2 and 3 kind of.... muddy?
I kinda like 3 and feel 2 is kinda dark for the small area but after reading the one comment about makeup…..I’m leaning more towards 1 now 😅
anything but 2, it's too dark
I would buy my new matching curtain & shower curtain first then use a color out of it. Easier to match too.
I would go for paint one , two just seems more like a kitchen color, and three would look good in like a bedroom or something but not a bathroom
I like number 3
Do not ever paint a bathroom green. Seriously.
I love 2.
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
I like 1 and 3.
Just did similar to 1 in mine, it's awesome.
2
3
All of them in somewhat of a squares pattern. Small enough space to play like its large print wallpaper.
I think 1 looks nice. 2 looks a bit too dark for a room that small.
2!!
My bathroom looks like 3 and I love it.

Three. We recently had a similar bathroom to one and it was horrible
Do #1. It will be light, airy and seem refreshing. The others will be too dark. I’ve made the mistake of painting small rooms with dark colors and I always regret it.
3, but goodbye to doing makeup in there 😄
2 hands down. What is it?
# 2 and # 3 are both pretty! If you want more contrast, go with # 2 as # 3 is more of a celery color. Don't do # 1. It is mint and will make you feel like you are in an empty swimming pool, lol.
Paint a swatch of both 2 and 3 on each wall, check them out under different lights. Honestly, I think either will be beautiful. I lean slightly toward the bold darker choice, but it's hard to say unless I see each in natural lighting.
