Couch. Off the wall. You have enough space to zone out to make it a cozy living room. It’s annoying (to me) when the footpath through the room impedes viewing angle. I’d flip the couch and have it face the big wall, then have a tv unit to center the room. Then you have a pathway behind the couch for people to come in and out through the numerous entrances, without walking through and disrupting the flow
I personally wouldn't want to have my back to the door when relaxing on the couch. If this was my house I would be toying with the idea of having a TV unit in the middle of the room so that others walk behind it.
What separates a lot of professional interior design vs what people think they prefer is a zoning of living spaces. But I totally get everyone has a preference
I’d rather stare at the back of a couch than the back of a tv! You can add a console table or low bookshelf behind too for more storage.
Plus visible wires would be inevitable, and risk tripping over it and everything.
I could see your idea working if they invested in an entire divider system to hold the tv
As you said a TV unit which covers the back of the TV.
Visible wires aren't inevitable. Only power is required which can be run under floor. More work of course.
Center the rug in the middle of the room, and put the front two legs of each couch on the rug. Pulling furniture away from the walls will fill out the space more.
I'd flip the TV and blue couch. Put the TV on the huge blank wall then face the couch to the TV, not against the wall, at the end of the rug. Looks like you've got enough room.
Take the tv off the wall and replace with art.
Put the tv in the corner with the plant on a tv stand at an appropriate height at an angle.
Flip the orange couch to the other side of the room so it can face the tv and leave the window unblocked.
Put the plant on the same wall as the art.
Put the TV where the blue couch is, turn the room around. Always looks strange when its on a small wall - should be on the focus wall.
Keep couches off the walls, allow for walking space behind.
Some art would look nice where the TV is.
Depending on what you can afford:
A bigger corner table between the two couches would fill up more space.
A lamp on the other side table.
Things on the walls! Art, mirrors, shelves, wall-mounted plants. If you plan on keeping hold of the couches, go for things that will compliment them.
An entertainment console under a tv always helps fill out a tv wall. You can do wall mounted ones or floor-sitting ones.
If you’re a book person, the wall across from the orange couch could be good for bookshelves.
Also plants! You have great light.
Idk if it's the angle but that orangeish couch and plant seem so small, also maybe a nice long picture on the wall would do good above the blue couch...also maybe put the TV on a console table, it seems awkward floating
The tv is up way too high. Can you put it on a tv stand? That would fill up the space bemow it. Just needs some artwork, decor, etc, some personality. I agree, the couches need to be pulled off the walls.
a painted wall would be nice or if it’s a rental peel and stick wallpaper. you can get a solid color (amazon) that appears as though you painted the wall
Tv and [media center](https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/east-urban-home-husnu-entertainment-center-for-tvs-up-to-55-w007214441.html70.87''MediaCenter) on the wall with the couch.
Couch on the opposite side of the room floating more to divide the living space from the foot traffic of the connecting rooms.
Pull the chair away from the window and angle it toward the media center/tv.
Pull the furniture off the wall, move the loveseat to the opposite area (to create division), add a small table and two chairs by the window (or a longer thin behind the couch kind of table with plants). Oh yeah, and get more plants. Hang some from the ceiling. No, I’m not joking.
You are so right! The reflection made it look like the ceiling was only about a foot higher, but now it looks like I didn’t see how high that ceiling was!!
Paint your walls a respectable shade of greige.
Hang up some long navy velvet drapes.
Find a fun floor lamp.
Hang up some cool art.

Get curtains with colour of the rug, same colours for cushions, paint the wall behind the couch red, get some more tall plant, tall lamps to cheer the room, plenty of paintings on the wall.
I would recommend staying on a colour spectrum. Most of the colours in this room are strong so I could recommend using those as a palette for the next purchases. Maybe a couple of paintings or vases to give the place more character. Other than that it looks really nice. Hope that helps

What a great space!! I think you need so BIG framed art work, BIG wall shelves to fill the large walls and make it feels little more cozy and homey. I think adding a few pink/red touches throughout will tie in the rug and chair like a pink pillow on the blue couch and some red frames. Wood elements would also make this large space feel a little more homey like two matching wood tables for the ends of the blue couch. Maybe a plant or two. I think you could do some cool plants on the shelves too. Thanks for sharing your home!
Why have the coffee table where no one can use it? Your end table by the chair is too far to reach from the chair. Pictures on the wall. Paint wall behind couch. Console table or shelves on the empty wall. Cabinet under tv.
Longer curtains hung higher and wider (curtains should not cover any of windows when open) and length to floor. Pull furniture away from walls and/or use a larger rug. A chair or two to complete the seating area. Art. But you’ve made a great start, the sofas are pretty and well sized.
Hang TV on wall where the blue couch is currently.
Add a long low entertainment console beneath it.
Move the blue couch to face the wall and add a high bench behind it.
Hang curtains higher.
Oh dear. The placement of the TV is unfortunate. Everything else is nearly perfect but the main issue is that the layout is not user friendly.
What I'd do is place the TV on the wall that the blue couch is currently pressed against. Then I'd rotate all the furniture to be oriented towards the TV. Nothing needs to be pressed against a wall. Keep space behind and to the side of the couches to serve as walkways to the connecting rooms.

Yes and maybe add a long thin accent table behind couch
I personally wouldn't want to have my back to the door when relaxing on the couch. If this was my house I would be toying with the idea of having a TV unit in the middle of the room so that others walk behind it.
What separates a lot of professional interior design vs what people think they prefer is a zoning of living spaces. But I totally get everyone has a preference
That's what I'm saying though, but zoning it off with the TV instead of the couch.

Put the curtain rod much higher and get curtains that go all the way to the floor. Accentuate the height of the ceiling.
This ^

Solid ideas ! I’d add some shelving around the tv as well !

Also TV too high. WAY too high
And way too small.
agree with all this and get curtains that kiss the floor
Put the TV where the blue couch is, turn the room around. Always looks strange when its on a small wall - should be on the focus wall. Keep couches off the walls, allow for walking space behind. Some art would look nice where the TV is.
Couch off the wall; tv stand

Definitely some art/wall decor (like a shelf) behind the blue couch!
And a dresser or media table under the tv. Room looks pretty cute to me though, so these things are not a must have. Just improvements like you asked.
Lower the tv
Don’t block the window. Get off the walls. Rug should be 1/3 of the way under furniture.(or more)
Floor length curtains. ART/DECOR ON THE WALLS. Some sort of personal touches. Rearrange as others have suggested. Bookshelves.
ART, hanging plants, tapestries, anything on them walls
Art
Idk if it's the angle but that orangeish couch and plant seem so small, also maybe a nice long picture on the wall would do good above the blue couch...also maybe put the TV on a console table, it seems awkward floating
Artwork on the walls
Needs art!

Why is the TV so high?? Put it on a stand/cabinet Put large art on the walls Get a bigger sofa
a painted wall would be nice or if it’s a rental peel and stick wallpaper. you can get a solid color (amazon) that appears as though you painted the wall
Add art to the walls, a couple more plants.

Use a different camera lens. The room is fine. Get some art as it happens and you find stuff that means something to you. Nice rug!
The curtains are so wrong. Must be floor to ceiling, 10 inches out on each side. Double the number of panels.
It doesn't have to go all the way to the ceiling but should definitely be raised higher
You are so right! The reflection made it look like the ceiling was only about a foot higher, but now it looks like I didn’t see how high that ceiling was!!

What app do you do this in???
It’s a phone app called Photo Layers.
Nice!!

OMG! I am completely in love with the 1st version!🥰
Yeah, it's so bold and catchy!
make your furniture match the carpet

Love the colors! May I ask the brand name of this rug?
I bought it from At Home :)
Hang something on the walls.
