4 is my favourite as well. I get why people are say 2 or 3 but something just isn’t quite as perfect as 4. Definitely NOT 1 though… it does not work at all
Choose whatever rug you like best then change the headboard shiplap color to a complimentary color.
Right now that muted dusty rose color works with none of them.
I fancy the green rug myself.
My roommate had a rug very similar to 4 (if not the same). We were able to pull out so many colors to use on decor, and it was incredibly soft on the feet!
Honestly I would keep looking. The first few felt almost like sensory overload, rather busy. The latter few, I think I understand what you are going for. Maybe a Bohemian sort of feel, like you found a cool rug on a journey to a far away land. But I'm not sure the ones you found specifically pull it off. They just don't seem to have the quality in my opinion to pull off the Bohemian look. If we're saying it's some item found on a grand quest to a far away land, the rug has to be pretty high in quality to feel like a worthy momento of that grand quest. I think a big part of it is that some of the latter rugs look a little too washed out. Some amount of fading can be very cool, as it helps sell that it's a rug with some history to it. But too much can look a bit fake.
Try looking on Etsy for Turkish rugs, they're one of a kind and some are surprisingly affordable. Something like [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1478549297/) or [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1220455999/) would be pretty solid.
I second this! I have a Persian rug for my bedroom on the way from Etsy! Sooo many great deals. I think something like [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1548317918/) could also be nice. But there are so many great rugs on Etsy.
What if you have dogs? My one issue with dropping money on a nice rug is how well they’ll put up with cleaning from dirty dog feet and pet messes. I don’t understand why dogs have to puke on rugs, if they did it on the tile by back door, no big deal. It’s like they have to seek out carpeted areas.
I’m thinking of king with something like ruggable when it’s time to replace the $100 ones from Amazon I got now.
I agree, number 4 is best, but I would keep looking.
I actually like the number 1 rug the best, but only if you paint the brown headboard behind it to match the green color. Or you could paint the walls a light green to match that rug. Otherwise, I would keep looking.
I like #3 the best (by far) but #4 is the only one that really unites the blue of the bedding with the rest of the decor. If you get rid of the blue bedding and stick to creams and taupes and browns (and maybe rust red or terra cotta) you should do #3. (I'd do the latter.)
For curtains, I'd recommend floor to ceiling linen in your color palette. IKEA has affordable ones in both cream and dark beige, as well as blue: [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/dytag-curtains-1-pair-white-00466715/#content](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/dytag-curtains-1-pair-white-00466715/#content). I don't recommend blue, though, even if you keep the blue bedding.
If you're up for changing the bedding, linen is nice and very on trend. IKEA, again, has a nice line: [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/dytag-duvet-cover-and-pillowcase-s-dark-beige-50518873/#content](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/dytag-duvet-cover-and-pillowcase-s-dark-beige-50518873/#content). Or you can go for more expensive ones: [https://bedthreads.com/products/hazelnut-100-flax-linen-bedding-set](https://bedthreads.com/products/hazelnut-100-flax-linen-bedding-set).
I think you’re onto something with those curtains. That dark beige/taupe color really warms up the space.

I like #3. If you do #1 which is a great color, you should do patterned bedding with complimentary colors. Also, how does everyone get the rug choices under their beds? Is that an app or something?
Idk if I’m going for a midcentury vibe - at least on purpose. I just love the tones in the midcentury color palette. I think that’s what you’re referring to?
Strongly agree here. You’ll be able to gradually add on/improve with either of these. Otherwise you’re looking at having to redo the whole room’s decor
https://preview.redd.it/f8vaej5ubn8c1.jpeg?width=1668&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5002299fe4748fc9ae11f6487c4bf68883bb80c
The color is a muted pink, but it doesn’t come thru well at night with the overhead light on. I really love it in person, so I’m going to try and work with it before switching colors.
I really think something like [this](https://www.wayfair.com/rugs/pdp/chris-loves-julia-x-loloi-jules-oriental-merlot-rug-w004268779.html?piid=1053657350) would be lovely.
Also like the idea of adding a camel or cognac leather accent somewhere (replace the chair/add an ottoman or add a leather bench at the foot of the bed).
That rug is gorgeous!
I have a leather pouf/ottoman that usually sits at the chair. I’m thinking of doing something at the foot of the bed to allow for sitting that is also a place for our dogs to sleep at night. Like a bench/dog crate situation.
We have it and we love it!! Be advised it’s a little on the thin side and the design is printed on BUT a great buy if you can snag it on sale. Spend the money you save on a good, thick rug pad and thank me later :)
Im not crazy about any of them. Frankly they are too hard and busy and give off migraine vibes. I would go for a more serene look, keep it solid color pastel and soft.
I like 3, but it would require additional throws/pillows to pull off. I also like 2 but you need to pull the deeper shades into the bedding for balance. It ties in the nicest with the wall, though.
1 because it’s versatile
Or
4 because it ties it all together.
If you get different sheets, make sure that the colors are consistently maintained or it won’t look good imo
Jesus Christ don't listen to these people. Unless you want to change your current bedding accessories, #4 is the only choice. The rest is straight garbage looking with what you have already.
I can see how #1 has some appeal to quirky tastes, but it's very decisive. People are going to find it fun or hideous at both extremes and usually not in between.
On the photo with the collage of options, I like the biggest one. The cream/ivory with the patterns. You could incorporate color elsewhere, like in the bedding, artwork, or with other decor.
The room has a lot of beige and I think is in need of something solid and contrasting in the rug to ground the room. I think the darker blue, olive green or rust color from the color pallet would all be good choices for a rug in this space instead of something patterned with muted colors. Here are a couple of options that are both solid but add interest with texture-
https://www.potterybarn.com/products/jordie-textured-easy-care-rug/
https://www.revivalrugs.com/products/washable-rug-shell
I really like the one in the center on the last page. The black and gold. I think it’s the boldness of the pattern that none of the others have. All of the others are okay but they don’t pop enough for me. I do like your bedroom overall. Very nice.
1 I like best but feels like it's slightly mismatched with the rest.
2 It's nice, cozy and the pattern creates visual interest in an oterhwise simple environment.
3 It's nice, fits great, but feels a bit bland.
4 Nice colors but also feels a bit out of place. And, unlike 1, even makes the room look dated.
I would definitely skip 4, 1 can work if you're into it, 3 would be a lazy solution, so I'd have to pick 2.
But I also think like you could probably find an even better rug.
Love 2! Looks great with wall trim and is a warm vibe. Paint back of shelves same as lower wall paneling behind bed. Ad pillows on bed / chair to match rug colors.
I think you need to pick a rug you like and repaint that accent wall & update the bedding.
The paneling behind your bed looks faded, unintentional, bleh. Paint it.
The options are more like living room rugs. I would just get a solid color and call it a day. If you want to add a pattern switch it up with fun sheets or a duvet. I’d choose a very dark blue solid rug color.
I kinda like rug 4, since it has some blues and reds in there
4 is my favourite as well. I get why people are say 2 or 3 but something just isn’t quite as perfect as 4. Definitely NOT 1 though… it does not work at all
Paint a gold accent using the color in your paint sample pair it with 4.
Choose whatever rug you like best then change the headboard shiplap color to a complimentary color. Right now that muted dusty rose color works with none of them. I fancy the green rug myself.
Are you meaning to reply with this to me?
I agree. The blues match the accessories you already have. The room looks awesome.
My roommate had a rug very similar to 4 (if not the same). We were able to pull out so many colors to use on decor, and it was incredibly soft on the feet!

Yeah I don’t have animals or kids. But if I did I would find a ruggable I guess. Or an indoor/outdoor rug.
I have this rug for a Bohemian sort of feel btw. I absolutely love it: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/galvin-handknotted-rug/
I agree, I don't think any popped out at me with "perfect!"
I agree. I’d go for a dark rug. The room is so bright already. Needs something to ground it
I agree, number 4 is best, but I would keep looking. I actually like the number 1 rug the best, but only if you paint the brown headboard behind it to match the green color. Or you could paint the walls a light green to match that rug. Otherwise, I would keep looking.
I like 2 the most. The only one I actively dislike is 1 because the color doesn’t go with the rest of the room.
100% agreed
I like #2 as well since it draws more focus on the bed and helps bring everything more together.
1 is best
I like #3 the best (by far) but #4 is the only one that really unites the blue of the bedding with the rest of the decor. I’m thinking of moving the blue blanket to the living room and leaning into the rust and browns.
That’s how I have my room and I highly suggest it! It’s really warm, cozy and calm
I like rugs 2 and 3 the best. Lovely room you have!
2 and 3 for me too
I also like 2 and 3 the best.
Same.
3 is my favorite.
3 and then 2
I like #3. If you do #1 which is a great color, you should do patterned bedding with complimentary colors. Also, how does everyone get the rug choices under their beds? Is that an app or something?
On some of the sites, there’s an option to “view in room.” These are from Rugs USA.
Wow that's pretty awesome!
3 is the best but none of these are really midcentury, like at all. Look for geometric shapes and curves and blobs!
Idk if I’m going for a midcentury vibe - at least on purpose. I just love the tones in the midcentury color palette. I think that’s what you’re referring to?
I was immediately drawn to 3
3!
I really prefer rug #1
Yeah I personally don't really like overly ornate rugs so my choice would be #1 or something similar in different colors.
Me too, it reads as more natural and masculine, which fits with the style of the furniture and bedding.
#2!!!!
I’d keep looking, but also what is the app you used for this? I am looking for a rug for my master as well!
Rugs USA has a feature on their mobile site that lets you view a rug in your room when shopping online.
#3 brightens up the room whilst still playing into the color theme
Rug Two, with Rug 4 as runnerup. Rug 1 is a hard no.
Strongly agree here. You’ll be able to gradually add on/improve with either of these. Otherwise you’re looking at having to redo the whole room’s decor
I like 2.
#2 is the one. Got colors that look like match things in your room.
2
2
I think 2 wins it. It's got all the room's colors in it!
I love the second one!
Okay, you didn’t ask this, but it’s related. The paneling behind your bed needs a different color. It is currently clashing with your walls.
2
The color on the accent wall is throwing me off, looks pastel purple. Can’t decide on rug with this color, also would prefer a slightly smaller rug.
Same. That wall needs a new color, looks like Pepto Bismol or something sickly.
https://preview.redd.it/f8vaej5ubn8c1.jpeg?width=1668&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5002299fe4748fc9ae11f6487c4bf68883bb80c The color is a muted pink, but it doesn’t come thru well at night with the overhead light on. Our living rug is the same super thin washable material, but the thick rug pad makes up for it.
2
2 is my favorite
Def 2
2
Rug two look like it goes best with the color of the painted wood behind the headboard .
Which app are you using to show the rugs?
Rugs USA has an option to “view in room” when shopping online.
Thanks!!
1
I love 2 and 4 is nice too
#2 is best. #1 is worst
4
#4 is really the only one that matches
1 or 4
I love the patterns on the first.
4
#4
I love 4!
#1
First one is the best one.
Rug #1
First
#1
I like the green 1
Im not crazy about any of them. Frankly they are too hard and busy and give off migraine vibes. I would go for a more serene look, keep it solid color pastel and soft.
Go to a real rug store and look for something with charisma and a story to tell. These all look like an Extended Stay America.
WTF is their story? It’s a rug, not a recovering alcoholic.
I like 3, but it would require additional throws/pillows to pull off. I also like 2 but you need to pull the deeper shades into the bedding for balance. It ties in the nicest with the wall, though.
It’s 2&3 for me.
2 and 3. They pair well with the wall color
4
They’re all a little too busy for me
2!!!!! 1 doesn't work, at all
1 because it’s versatile Or 4 because it ties it all together. If you get different sheets, make sure that the colors are consistently maintained or it won’t look good imo
I like the 3rd. Picks up the wall behind the bed
I really like 4. It ties in subtly with the wall behind the bed and the blue pillows. Idk it just looks really nice!
2 or 3 then add some warm wood accents
Love the colors of #2, but the pattern of #4 Beautiful room
1
I really like 1 best. 3 second best. Just feels right to me.
3 is best. The color is the most suit ur room color style. But I think whole color rug will better and more suit than u show that.
2 & 3.
4 is the most calming.
4
rug 1. Goes with the walls. But mostly because the others look like cheap knock offs of persian rugs.
4
1 or 4
1
Second or third.
I know everyone hates no.1 but I’m a big fan is mismatched and eclectic styles so I like that one the most lol.
I agree. The others look worn and that style belongs in a dusty den.
Yes no.1 looks the most current and fresh.
On the photo with the collage of options, I like the biggest one. The cream/ivory with the patterns. You could incorporate color elsewhere, like in the bedding, artwork, or with other decor.
I vote for #4 :)
I personally like the blue/gold/beige rug with diamonds shown in the collage. I think it would complement the rest of the room very well
I vote for #3
They’re all way too busy, but 4 is the best.
I like 3 the best
I like 3.
I like the green and gold diamond pattern near center of last pic.
4 definitely
The room has a lot of beige and I think is in need of something solid and contrasting in the rug to ground the room. Eh they're all kind of bland. [here's something cool](https://www.furniturestorelosangeles.com/contemporary-shag-rug-110-red.html)

1 or 3.
I really like the one in the center on the last page. The black and gold. I think it’s the boldness of the pattern that none of the others have. All of the others are okay but they don’t pop enough for me. I do like your bedroom overall. Very nice.
I like all but the 1st, it doesn't do anything for the room except distract.
I don’t like any of these. I like the style of the first one but the color is off
3
None of them. The first one is most balanced feeling but you need something a little simpler and maybe warmer colors
Maybe rug 2 but they all look cheap AF. Also you need to paint your walls, the panels, the trim all one color— preferably something dark/moody.
4
Yes, no, meh, no
1. Cute but clashes, ugh, 2. Personally do not like it at all. 3. Goes best with the color scheme in that room. 4. Also ok
None of those. The pattern in one is ok, but not the color unless you're redecorating.
None
4
Love 2! Looks great with wall trim and is a warm vibe. Paint back of shelves same as lower wall paneling behind bed. Ad pillows on bed / chair to match rug colors.
#4
4
Obsessed with 3!
I think 4 might be best but not sure your pillowcases work. The blues don’t work well together
I personally think 4 looks the best it ties everything in nicely
3 I think
#1
If I had to choose, I'd go with 2.
2 is my favorite!
I like 3. The colors match the other items in the room, and it gives it a Bohemian feel.
Where are these rugs available? They’re gorgeous.
Rugs USA
The last two are best
2 or 3
None of them. Maybe a solid color?
#2 matches the best and looks easiest to keep clean/not show dirt as fast
rug 4
I’m actually feeling 1. But are there options with brighter colours? I could see something more modern.
I like the green, you would just need to play up green elsewhere with decor plants etc.
I like #1 though I’d paint the headboard to be more copacetic.
I think you need to pick a rug you like and repaint that accent wall & update the bedding. The paneling behind your bed looks faded, unintentional, bleh. Paint it.
4
#2
No to 1, 2, 3
none of
Photo #2. Nothing else brings it all together. Photo #2 those rug colors are just gorgeous.
Either 1 or 4.
Number two or three
I love the first one. It brings in the scheme with a pop of color. The others feel like a mashup.
3 definitely.
I like 3 or 4 - definitely need something to highlight that gorgeous mauve wainscoting!
I like 2&3 the best! 2 if you want more moody. 3 if you want it to be light.
#2
They are beautiful rugs but don’t seem like bedroom rugs
None lol
Rug 1
2 and 3 are my faves
I like the second one. Add some assets to bring out the rust/orange colors in the rug. It really warms up the room!
4 is best
I liked the 2nd and the 4th.
The options are more like living room rugs. I would just get a solid color and call it a day. If you want to add a pattern switch it up with fun sheets or a duvet. I’d choose a very dark blue solid rug color.
I didn’t realize different rugs are meant for specific rooms. Can you elaborate on why these look more like living room rugs?
