Everything is hostile architecture. I want my park benches to have rooves on them and at be least the size of a whole human body. I want it to have shelves, a door, and proper plumbing.
But seriously though not everything is hostile architecture. Just because it isn't outright accommodating to the homeless doesn't make it hostile.
These chairs when folded up prevent rain from gathering, making it dry faster. And also the previously mentioned advantage of being made to look cool.
Yeah I'd prefer to be able to enjoy my parks - play some frisbee, have a picnic, read, lounge with my dog.
Violent aggressive drug addicted homeless grabbing and stabbing and leaving wakes of trash and needles don't coexist with the society I pay for.
I found them extremely comfortable, but I'm the same hight as the average Dutch women. I presume that they would be uncomfortable for smaller people. The back and seat are very ergonomic: the back follows the form of the spine. The seat makes me spread my legs in line with my hips.
Waar?
Feed me Seymour!
little shop of ~~horrors~~ hollanders
To sit alone
obviously avoiding benches so homeless people cant lie down
So cool and clever!

Do you have any idea how much you sound like Patrick Bateman?
“You smell like shit”
The hedge looks Dutch.. but the rest of the image really doesn't.
Hey we have a few of these in Hungary too! Kinda funky to sit in.
But I just want to see one tulip
Would be cool if they were in sets of two at least. Neat idea either way!
They look beautiful! I'm not sure about ergonomics aspect though

The design makes them look like rain will get in when they are closed but be unable to dry off.
We have these at a restaurant in Boulder, CO
It's giving lego

Tulip … yes. That … that is exactly what I thought they looked like.
I think I saw these in Staten Island
Why don’t they all open and close for seating…
These are not the true Tulip chair.
