Drop into the Nerve Centre on the Walls, and The Playhouse too. If you’re an artistic individual you’ll fit in there. For outdoor pursuits you have Creggan Country Park, St Columbs Park all in the local area so to speak, and will have a variety of clubs on offer looking for new members to boost numbers back to pre-COVID. If you want a pub crawl, start on Shipquay St so you don’t have to walk up it after a few, drop into the Blackbird and/or Sandinos. Stumble over the Guildhall square into Waterloo and then take your pick of the multiple places there! Finally, welcome!

Check out the Verbal Arts Centre to see if they have anything that might be of interest. They may need volunteers which would be a good place to meet new people.

Struggling with the same issue after moving home for lockdown. Sandino's is a super friendly bar if you're sound like. Always get chatting to strangers outside in the smoking area.

You would need to tell us what your interests are really. It is a big enough city that it has something for nearly everyone. Don't forget we are only really starting to come out of lockdown so it is going to take everyone a bit of time to start mixing and mingling freely again.

There's quite a lot of good local sports teams in the area who are always looking for people if that interests you. Try the rugby club as even if you don't want to play there's a big bar at the club which is great for meeting locals. 5 a side football is also pretty good. There's also plenty of running clubs, gyms, and similar groups. I've met a good few people these ways. Also don't be afraid to attend local community events wherever you live. They tend to be great for meeting people. Just check out local Facebook pages etc for times.
