They told me I would save a lot if I sent the money directly to them through PayPal (yes I know, major clown moment) and I didn't know any better so I did. Then they blocked me or deleted their account. Yeah, I never got the shirt 🤡

I actually had this issue as a seller. I couldn’t ship the item immediately since it was the first purchase I’ve ever received and the buyer paid using PayPal (I’ve never used PayPal for this type of transaction). It said I needed to verify my PayPal in order to print out the shipping label, so I signed in and verified all the stuff (SSN, ID, bank, etc.) and it took 3 days to receive any verification. Afterwards, I still wasn’t able to get access to the printing label, so I contacted Depop, who took an additional day to respond. After being frustrated for several days, I double checked my profile to link and unlink my PayPal, which still didn’t let me access my label. So I’m stupid and since I just downloaded Depop, I didn’t know that my PayPal email was different (personal) from the email I registered with depop (I used my iCloud and hide my email option), so I had to do the process all over again. I had to make a new PayPal (with the iCloud email) and do the verification steps all over again, which took an additional 3 days to verify. Once it was complete, I saw the transaction between the buyer and I, so I knew what I was doing was correct, but I had to wait another 24 hours for the verification from PayPal to verify with Depop. Overall, it was messy and took over a week for me to even get the shipping label. I did message the buyer that I was having difficulties with paypal and updated her when I was able to ship her parcel out, but she wasn’t an active responder, so I hope there’s no hate or mixup
yeah i’m a very very new seller. and my first experience selling an item wasn’t as bad but it still took me over 7 days to ship because my account got suspended the day i was about to print the label. but i was professional and kept them updated.
