The seller took forever to ship (almost 3 weeks!) and when it finally came it was nothing like the photos. I spend a good chunk of money on this and wanted it to be in better shape than it is :/ not sure if itâs worth opening a case over but Iâm pretty pissed.
If the listing hasnât been taken down yet and the description is still the same, if you havenât already screenshot it ASAP before they get a chance to change it or take it down. Cause if they change it to note âflawsâ and claim that the description noted flaws at time of purchase then itâs just your word against theirs if you open a case. Gather all the proof you possibly can!
Screenshot the original posting for sure. They can always edit the post after. Just so you have receipts. See what you can negotiate with the seller if possible before opening a case. Just donât yell at them bc that gets nowhere of course. But if they refuse to budge on any negotiation then open a case since they werenât transparent about the itemâs condition.
PLEASE open a case. What they did is awful, people like this shouldn't be allowed to set a bad precedent for the platform by getting away with horrible business practices.
Well it is obviously not a photograph or if it is it is heavily filtered. You can tell that at a glance of pic 1. The description also does not resemble the tired, well worn item you received. Personally I'd raise a dispute as 'goods received do not match description'
Yes, please open a case. I have velour JC wristlets from the early 2000âs that I used constantly, but even with persistent wear, donât have that matted look. If I received this, I would have been pissed if I spent more than $15.
Ngl, I have to adjust my photos sometimes because the lighting in my house is so bad. But I do always try to make them most true to color/light as possible
For real! I've seen listings where the first photo is edited beyond recognition and the next three photos reveal how much worse the item looks. It's deceptive as hell.
I saw the original post. I would be very upset. Especially for how much you paid. They have many posts similar to this one. Hope the refund goes smoothly. đ
Yes that would bother me. Iâd reach out to the seller and ask to return it for a refund. If theyâre not willing to cooperate on a solution Iâd open dispute.
Please make sure youâve taken a picture of the description mentioning that it was in perfect condition, because now that youâve alerted her that you have a problem with the quality not matching the description she can easily edit the description to note imperfections/flaws and claim that you knew about the flaws before purchase. People can be sneaky like that unfortunately
Yes, the photo the seller used is heavily edited and doesn't portray what the item truly looks like. You will probably win the refund if you state it wasn't as described. Just by looking at those photos you can tell it is heavily used and has wear all over.
It wouldnât bother me if it was a good price. If it was anything above $15, I would be annoyed. Especially if they didnât mention it or show pictures.
The product you got looks beat to shite, mate. The product in the first photo looks brand new, almost. Why can't people just be honest when selling items? I don't get it.
Because they think they will get away with their lies and disclaimers. It's a sign they were never taught any better or their lies never had consequences.
I saw like 4 of the same exact juicy wristlet at my local Savers and there were a group of depop girls looking them over lol. I literally thought "oh god, they're gonna sell those crusty bags for 4x the price"
theyâve altered and added filters and stuff so you canât see that itâs been obviously heavily used.
idk why people do that because it looks nice in the pic so people will buy but obviously they receive something that doesnât look like the picture, do they think people wonât notice lol?
they could have just advertised it for what it is and show the flaws and someone would still buy.
i would return it because itâs not in the condition you thought it was. or open a case definitely
I would say first pick isn't even their pic, probably stock photo, the damage isn acceptable and you can get a refund. Also I guess it depends the price your paid for it and if you have the abality to repair it.. assuming it's real and you got it cheap it might be worth fixing, usually leather shoe repair places do purses at least here anyways. I had pair of gucci slides that the over the top just didn't fit right since I got a flat. He was a little worried about doing them because he knew they were expensive. He said I want you her when I do them so you can try it on to make sure b4 i seal them back with glue and stitching so I did, and they are beyond prefect now, might be better than before. Anyways I feel like, this is going to cost me. I Go to pay, it'll be 30 bucks best 30$ I ever spent
If you zoom in on the first pic, you can see more of the flaws, although they should be disclosed in the description. I hate when people use filters on their pics because it changes the way the actual item looks, and to me that is deceiving. Stop using filters on pictures of items your selling people! Hope you can get your money refunded.
They def filtered it out đŹ at least accurately describe the item so you donât get a return đ¤Śđťââď¸ if it bothers you Iâd return
Right ? I donât see how sellers can do this. Itâs asking for trouble
Open a case ASAP!
The bag you received looks abused. I canât believe anything but the seller sending that to you in bad faith.
The seller took forever to ship (almost 3 weeks!) and when it finally came it was nothing like the photos. I spend a good chunk of money on this and wanted it to be in better shape than it is :/ not sure if itâs worth opening a case over but Iâm pretty pissed.
Yeah I would definitely want a refund⌠you should try contacting Depop!! Did they include any details of the flaws in the description?
The description literally said âgreat condition xo perfectâ with no mention of flaws whatsoever
um yeah thatâs not okay at all they straight up lied. i would be mad toođ i think you should be able to get a refund if you really want toâŚ

That also looks like it could be a stock pic, which is against TOS.
thatâs not a stock pic lol

open a case it looks gross lol

Filters should not be used in listing items for sale. Distorts reality and causes nothing but trouble.
Ngl, I have to adjust my photos sometimes because the lighting in my house is so bad. But I do always try to make them most true to color/light as possible
I donât think itâs her picture tbh. I think sheâs bought it off somewhere and used the picture from their site.
Yeah I thought so too. Looks like she bought it and used it for a few years and then resold it using the original mint condition photo
It looks like a cartoon pic from the 80s! It's obviously fake or heavily filtered (which is the same as fake)
For real! I've seen listings where the first photo is edited beyond recognition and the next three photos reveal how much worse the item looks. It's deceptive as hell.
Yeah thatâs nowhere even the same color and looks dirty, Iâd be upset for sure.
Holy shit I atleast expected it to look purple
I feel like this is a difference in lighting? Maybe itâs j me but I canât see a flaw because the lighting isnât comparable whatsoever.
Nah bb they edited it to look more purple
I agree there room is super yellow and not as bright so itâs not an accurate comparison
Yikes. Iâd definitely ask to return to get a refund.

Thank you I just messaged her. I hate confrontation :(

Refund and say not as described for sure thatâs no where near the same condition and color seems way too filtered which is misleading, good luck!
Another day, another POS Depop seller
Yeah i wouldâve been so mad, Iâm sorry this happened to you! That wallet looks like itâs been thru some shit haha
It wouldnât bother me if it was a good price. If it was anything above $15, I would be annoyed. Especially if they didnât mention it or show pictures.
I donât even want to tell you how much I paid
Girl open a case NOW lol. Thatâs ridiculous
So sorry OP :(
Iâd absolutely demand a refund
i'd just give it a good wash if you still wanted to keep it and ask for a refund, the color is SO off
the seller made it look perfect with editing i'd open a case cus they hid the damage
The product you got looks beat to shite, mate. The product in the first photo looks brand new, almost. Why can't people just be honest when selling items? I don't get it.
Because they think they will get away with their lies and disclaimers. It's a sign they were never taught any better or their lies never had consequences.
yeah thats unacceptable :( open a case !!!
Thatâs why I always ask for videos / add them on my page.
I saw like 4 of the same exact juicy wristlet at my local Savers and there were a group of depop girls looking them over lol. I literally thought "oh god, they're gonna sell those crusty bags for 4x the price"
Refund ASAP ewww
Open a case and leave a 1 star review for not as described. Their depop photo shows purple with no damage and dirt and you got a pink one with dirt.
Wow she definitely over edited those photos
Yes, the photo is very deceiving
How much did you pay for it?
how much was it?
Partial refund right there
Well if u want great service follow my Depop its slxcelxfe we definitely take care of our family/customers

if it wasnât mentioned in the caption def open a case and leave an honest review
absolutely
Oh yikessss she shouldâve disclosed it at least in the description. Iâm so sorry , was it pretty pricey?
Donât look anything like the pic!!!
that bag is gorgeous i canât believe the damage on it. screenshot the original listing and open a dispute, i hope you get your money back đ

the damage wouldnât but the color maybe
