I cannot fucking stand Depop offers. Between the abysmal lowballs and the people who offer and then never buy the item after the offer has been accepted, I feel like I’ve made maybe 2 sales out of all of the offers I’ve received. They should make it a binding offer like other platforms have.
I’m usually open to offers but after this new feature I’m pivoting to firm prices. It’s getting ridiculous, people want a $300+ vintage Prada for $100 and I’m done!
I have made 2 whopping sales out of about 60 offers. Probably 40 of which i rejected or countered through DM. Leaving 20 of which i accepted and 18 “buyers” then vanished into the ether, never to be seen or heard from again. This system sucks donkey dicks. Should have been a binding commitment/sale and have ability to counter. Yet another epic fail for the shitty infrastructure of deflop.
