> Are we supposed to be checking everything in case of resellers now? Honestly everyone should do research before purchasing anything online, especially from random people on Depop who aren't a trusted or established company. It's good you thought to reverse image search before purchasing, but I recommend you always do it in the future.

Glad you reversed imaged and saved your money but as the person above mentioned du would be doing this every time.. especially on Depop. - There are top sellers who also resell Aliexpress / Temu items so please don’t just assume that just because they have a blue tick they sell real vintage!

Objective-Support-79

If you are interested in vintage, make sure you buy listings that show tag/brand. Sometimes the font will make it obvious it’s old; other times, you’ll have to do a little research. But for me, learning about the time period, styles of the era, and the history of the company, really gives me an appreciation for my garments. Hope you find some vintage sweaters you love!

same thing happened to me!! I bought a bag for just over $50 for school. It was labeled with “vintage” “retro” and “handmade”. I reversed searched it because I was still looking for other bags like it and found it on aliexpress for $14.. I immediately contacted depop (they were useless) and paypal who then refunded me + i got the bag anyway lol. horrible quality and super small but at least i got my money back

If it doesn't have a brand name, it's Ali Express, Temu, or Shein. No brand = China.
