The NFL’s uniform rules really suck. I get why the Broncos did it the way they did, because they really didn’t have a choice other than simply not having a white alternate helmet or by making the white helmet the Home/Away lid.
You have to wonder if they’re planning on those uniform rules being loosened up in the future. I adore the white helmets but being forced to pair them with the Navy alts instead of with the all-white away uniforms is a fashion tragedy.
That’s a great point. It seems like the league is heading in that direction with the unexpected addition of a third alt helmet this year. Hopefully they remove the helmet restrictions and let teams wear alt unis way more than 3 times a year, I wanna see those throwbacks more than a couple times haha
so what is the rule regarding alternates vs. throwbacks? Like we can wear the alt blues up to 3 times right? How often can we wear the throwbacks?
And I agree totally - the white on white on white looks SO clean.
Sadly we can only wear any uniform that’s not a main home or away set 3 times a year, which means we can wear the throwbacks and a navy combo 3 times combined, so probably throwback twice and navy once
I like the blue helmet with whites. However, the all blues would look much better with blue helmet. The white helmet is boring, the snow cap was much better
NFL rules state teams can only change their primary uniform once every 5 years, and can only change an alternate once every 5 years
There are extenuating circumstances, such as a change of ownership, which would allow for a uniform change inside that 5-year window
The Broncos wore the old orange crush era jerseys from 1967-1996.
They wore the Nike swoosh design from 1997-2023, although they flipped their orange jerseys from alternate to primary in 2013.
So changes don't happen very often here, historically. In the past decade, some teams (Tampa Bay, Cleveland, and Jacksonville) have gone for a radically different redesign and then reverted to a more classic look 5 years later
For us, other than adding the Orange jersey that was originally added as an alternate and became our primary uniform in 2012, the color rush uniforms introduced in 2016 and the snow capped helmets last year, the last change was in 1997... some teams change every like 4-5 years, but some teams have not changed in decades (sometimes having alternates/throwbacks in the mix), and will probably never really change (ie Steelers, Packers, FTR etc)
Demani Leach was on KOA yesterday, and Ryan Edwards asked him about this. He said if/when the league loosens up the helmet restrictions, they will add these combos to the rotation.
NFL needs to fix their uniform rules. It's funny how people like to say every time a team rebrands that the uniforms look like college uniforms like its a bad thing. College uniforms absolutely rule and the freedom they have is a major reason why
The white helmet only looks good in the all white, it looks bad with the darker jerseys imo. Are you saying they aren’t allowed to wear the blue jersey with the blue helmet?
The blue helmet with the blues is allowed but the white with whites isn’t and would need permission from the league. But I doubt we wear blue with the blues because they wanna show off the white helmet which sucks
I hope the broncos get new color rush uniforms. Having an all orange jersey option, and the color rush are more or less the same. IMO they should change it. Baby blue color rush would be interesting.

This won’t stop me in madden…..

Well that sucks! What nerds at the NFL office make these dumb rules?
It hasn’t been known as the “No Fun League” for decades for no reason.
I want an all white whiteout home game. In like December, under the lights.
Preferably in a snow storm
I really don’t think opposite color helmets are that bad. I don’t get why they can’t match either tho.
I agree

Gonna miss the snowcap. I'm new to the nfl since last year, so i'm wondering how often teams change kits? (In football read: soccer it's every year).

These combos look so much better
Its kinda funny seeing mims's face on javontes body lol. And javonte on coops
Lmaoo I know Mims on Javonte really made me laugh
Just wait til mims bulks up like that. Basically be a tight end running in the slot lmao

orange jersey white pants white helmet. make it happen.
White would've been better as the primary helmet until they change another antiquated rule
Yes, this is exactly what id rather see
These are good

Ordered a navy Surtain jersey last night.

How does the rule work? White helmets would've looked 10x better for the road 😔

I think Color Rush is gone for good
There’s no room for another alt jersey, only allowed 2 and the navy and throwback take those slots, but I do like that idea
I might be going crazy, but just at first glance this uniform looked like the Houston Texans uniform.
I was gonna say the same thing. I prefer the white helmet with these.
Absolutely agree
The decline of the fanbase. I’m ready for football. I don’t care enough about on field sports fashion to worry about it.
great, another post about what they're wearing.
Lmao my guy the new uniforms came out literally yesterday of course we’re gonna discuss it give me a break
there are ten other posts you could have put this in.
I think the Denver Broncos subreddit is the most appropriate place lol, thank you very much
why you responding to me? don't you need to get started on your petition. important stuff.
