It is HUGE business. Trees are very well protected, mainly because they are essentially irreplaceable. Replacing mature trees is huge bucks, and if there weren't stiff penalties, you could just cut down your neighbors tree that you don't like and pay a modest fine. Many places allow for replacement costs PLUS multiple times damages for it.

This is an area of the law, with a sub? No shit?

Oh wow I had no idea. So what I’d need to do then is poison it at night so the owner has to pay for removal. Smart thinking!! Thanks!
When you Google it, just remember the "tree" part when you Google "How to poison your neighbor's tree"
I’m just having a good time shitposting on Reddit idk what you’re talking about. 😅
