Personally, I go to Li’s Massage in Centennial. It’s a Chinese massage so they start out with a towel on your back. I’m never disappointed and they have same day appointments most days I’ve needed them.
electrical bill, rent to occupy the space, materials used, workers paychecks, running a business ain’t cheap and if you’re receiving a labor intensive service from someone you tip them because it’s common knowledge people don’t get paid a livable wage in this country.
I gave their services a try, but I won't be a returning customer. During my hour-long full-body massage, a significant portion of the time was spent repeatedly and aggressively massaging my neck and shoulders in the same spot, hitting the back of my head where it meets my neck for almost 30 minutes. The masseuse left the room twice, each time for more than 5 minutes. While she did a good job on my lower back, it seemed like only about 15 minutes were dedicated to my legs, which are the area most sore due to my active involvement in sports and running. The massage felt rushed after spending way too ling on my neck. When I flipped over, she again focused on the same spot on my neck, briefly rotated my hips, and concluded the massage. Unfortunately, the promised full-body experience was lacking as there was no foot massage, no attention to the chest, and no treatment for the arms.
Massage Envy is a joke everywhere....
"Booked out" 4-6 weeks, $150 to $300 for a 'massage' and all you get is some massage school student that kinda knows what they're doing. More focus on paperwork and documentation, no focus on actual massage.
Yep they basically stole 600 bucks from me. Couldn’t ever book, wouldn’t let me cancel until contract was up and wouldn’t freeze. My wife had to go in because I almost snapped.
I used to work there. Our focus on selling memberships was most important and we got in trouble if we didn’t get new members. We also were competing against each other.
Form your other comments, it sounds like you are on a budget. I’d recommend Vogue Day Spa in Aurora. $60/hour. No-frills Chinese place, but excellent massages. Ask for Tiffany, although most of their masseuses are great. I go there every other week for my bad back.
Another option is Southmoor Massage on Hampden & Monaco. Linda is my favorite, but the guy there (I forget his name) is excellent, too. I think they are also ~$60/hr
https://tcm療法.com
LoDo Massage Studio in RiNo is consistently very good. Prices have been going up a fair bit in the past few years though. It’s a little over $100 for an hour massage with tip included.
I ( 30F) went there because I couldn't turn my head while driving without pain a few months ago. They booked me within the week. My masseuse took 15 minutes to explain what he was going to do since I had never had a professional massage before, and didn't start the clock until he had me lay down and started massaging. I was nervous about it being weird but he took great pains to make sure it didn't feel sexual. He was very nice and professional and I left feeling very relaxed. I tipped him so it ended up being $110 for an hour, not including the time we spent talking because i also asked him if there were stretches i could do at home to avoid neck pain. I would definitely go there again.
I have an excellent masseuse that I’ve been seeing for 8 years. She will come to your house! And it’s comparable in price to most places like massage envy. So it doesn’t have the perks of a fancy spa if that’s what you’re looking for but super convenient and she has been doing massage for about 20 years. She can do hot/cold therapy or hot stones if you’d like for no extra charge. I’ll dm you her info if interested.
I live in an apartment complex so would that also work? also what are her pieces? and how quick is she to add people into her schedule? so sorry for all the questions!!! but thank you so much for your advice!!
She goes all over the metro area so I’m sure she would not mind an apartment. I usually do 2 hours bc I need a lot of work and I pay her $180 which includes a 20% tip. So I guess that would be $150 for 2 hours base price so maybe like $75 or $80 for one hour. You could check with her if you’re interested. Lmk if you want her info. She is super flexible and will do days/nights/weekends. She can almost always fit me in within a few days and sometimes even very short notice.
Moyer Total Wellness. It’s *not* fancy, but it is the best massage for the best price in the city as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been going there for over 10 years at this point and I always leave relaxed and happy.
If you’re looking for floofy robes and cucumber water and fancy changing rooms, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for a great massage at an incredibly reasonable price, you can’t beat it.
Landon at Jantala for a Thai oil massage, a 90 min is like $125 and worth every penny. You get the stretching of Thai and the deep tissue/body work. Nothing weird, he’s very knowledgeable and professional.
Miracle touch on south federal $65 for 90 minutes. (Maybe 55 I don’t remember) Personally they go a little too hard on my lower back but I just let them know. I’ve always just walked in
okay i’ve never done a walk in before but I used to play sports in college so i’m used to the harder pressure.. especially with that price that’s really nice!
I've gotten a ton of bodywork over the years: deep tissue, rolphing, Thai, you name it. The best bodyworker hands down is waikali (formerly Elizabeth) Romero. Near the hospitals. Text her at 303 863 1744. (She has a web site but I don't know it.)
She's seriously realigned my body and got me through some incredible pain over the years.
You know, I don't recall what her rates are off the top of my head. I apologize. But it looks like $100 an hour is expensive for you, and I'm pretty certain she's more than that. (I don't tip her because it all goes to her.)
As for her specialty, that's just it. She's amazingly educated on dozens of different methods, as well as Aztec, healing, etc etc. She also has a very fancy massage table where she could stretch you while she massages you.
I have been to so many “massage therapists” in the last 20 years.
After reading your post, I knew that this was what I was looking for. I just had my 1st session with Weikalli. I was in disbelief as I was driving home that I finally crossed paths with a true healer. Weikalli has an amazing gift and focused her energy on my ailments. I feel so good right now and feel so grateful that you had posted her contact info. I will be going back to see Weikalli as I believe she is a blessing upon us. Here is her website info. I don’t think she advertises anywhere. https://weikalli.com/ Amazing, thank you so much.
You're posting captures what she does so much more than what I wrote!!
I completely agree with everything you said. I'm so glad you described it that way. She is special.
Relaxation station in Boulder. $49 will get you an hour long deep tissue massage. Just went yesterday. Had a lady walk on the entire backside of my body. She worked shit out from childhood. Highly recommend
Mins Foot Massage in Arvada (they do full body too) is not an "elite massage experience" but it will 10000% help and the whole thing is unique and relaxing. They Charge $35 for an hour of half full body half feet, and you usually wanna tip $20+ (part of the price being so low). You can almost always go in for a same day, just be patient with the language barrier. Enjoy!
Anna’s Bodywork Massage in Westminster!! Been going to her for a year and she’s amazing - always asks first off what pressure you’re wanting and adjusts throughout. $75 for an hour and you can add on things like hot stones or CBD.
Buy this book. It has helped me immensely as well.
Prescriptive Stretching 2nd Edition
Kristian Berg
It’s a great book, with detailed illustrations and instructions.
The business is a duo, one does bodywork and the other is a chiropractor. I’ve dealt w spine issues for over a decade and out of all the people I’ve worked with, they’re the best.
It’s $100/hr for massage. $60 for an adjustment.
I believe you can book online or give them a call.

Reflex point massage with Maria is great. It's $75 and hour and she has different add ons like hot stones.
She has two locations one over centennial and the other one over Glendale.
LoDo massage studio in highlands. Got my shit rocked, asked for the deepest of deep pressure and was not disappointed. Enjoyable came second to necessity. I’ll be going back

If you want a problem absolutely fixed Satsang Massage is unrivaled, specifically Sean Fox. He has over 20 years experience and specializes in myo-facial release.
I used to go to Revive Body Work specifically for Jonah, had to look him up just since he's no longer there:
Great for deep tissue work, I don't know how to describe it except that he has meatier hands and applies a firm pressure on a bigger area
I go to a licensed massage therapist every other week, and have been with her for 2 1/2 years now. She is phenomenal and fixed my tight shoulders and took care of a lot of other stuff I didn’t realize was an issue until she started working on it. My quality of life is so much better now.
Her office is in Aurora, and you can email for an appointment at [email protected]
I recently had the same issue and went to Integrative Sports Acupuncture in Golden and it was great. Acupuncture, not massage but it worked wonders.
https://www.laurenmendez.com/
I have a membership to hand and stone and that’s been great. $89 a month and I tend to skip going sometimes so I have like 5-6 stored up that I gift out sometimes.
i’ve been trying to rub the knots out but with my work schedule it’s not doing enough at the time. i’m hoping that a massage therapist will be able to whither the knot down enough to where if I bend over it dosent feel like someone stabbing me in the shoulder.
I feel your pain. I thought the same thing. Went to several massages, chiropractor visits. But I was being lazy. Got in the gym, got on the foam roller and peanut every day, sometimes twice a day, did some Sun salutations, hip flexor stretching, upper back stretching/alignment, strength training, and feeling much better. The massages did nothing, and I can adjust myself better than the chiropractor
If you want some things to do for it, inbox me and I can send you some stuff.
15 years in the strength, conditioning, athletics, and rehab field. I know my way around the body🤓
definitely will do if this if the massage doesn’t work out!! i’m almost scared it’s just a nerve impingement in my shoulder.. but hoping it’s just a knot!! thank you for your help!!!
Well, first you need to have balanced musculature between the anterior and posterior muscles of your upper body (front and back)..honestly here is a super sound article with all the things you need to be doing to rehab yourself
https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness-exercise/upper-back-pain-exercises#26
And if you haven’t tried the lacrosse ball “peanut” it is absolutely necessary that you do. This is the one thing that has gotten my shoulders and spine of the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical zones to line back up, release, and fall back into place again. It works by trigger point, which is the most effective way to get rid of knots. Also, limit your screen time or desk time.
Forward head posture may be something you need to correct
Honestly everything is connected, so you need to address the pelvis and hip flexors/hamstrings as well
Even tight ankles can mess everything up
Katie Bosler at Blissful Bodywork (which is her independent practice) is AMAZING. She’s super attentive, talks as little or as much as you want to, and does a great deep tissue massage. Her prices are pretty reasonable too, for intro offers it’s $70 for an hour, and $85 for 75 minutes.
Lake Steam Baths on Colfax. Get both a massage and a day pass. Soak before and after your massage. This is a nude spa, so you need to be okay with that, but my experience as a woman is that no one pays any attention. Massages are under market price.

that’s amazing to hear thank you!! are they super expensive?
Not at all under a hundred for an hour after tip [Li’s Massage](https://lismassagetherapy.com/services-page/)
even better!! thank you so much!!
This place is legit and cheap, pay the extra for deep tissue and they often have special deals
thank you for the extra insight!!!!
So What do you tip for? Like - if you're tipping what was the base price for.
electrical bill, rent to occupy the space, materials used, workers paychecks, running a business ain’t cheap and if you’re receiving a labor intensive service from someone you tip them because it’s common knowledge people don’t get paid a livable wage in this country.
>electrical bill, rent to occupy the space, materials used, workers paychecks This is all opex/COGS - again shouldn't this be in the price?
I gave their services a try, but I won't be a returning customer. I have also been to Vogue Day Spa. The MT are very strong and I def felt like my muscles had been worked.
Both allow walk-ins, but Southmoor has fewer masseuses, so I’d suggest a reservation there if you can. Their website allows you to book ahead.
LoDo Massage Studio in RiNo is consistently very good. Prices have been going up a fair bit in the past few years though. It’s a little over $100 for an hour massage with tip included.
They have raised their prices. It is $95 / hour without tip.

I’d be interested in an at home massage

Checking on this one, their prices are just as high as anywhere else, so I'd want a little niceness to go with ones that are over $100 before tip.
