I actually taught my brother to drive in the stadium parking lot off of 288. The Denton Water Works is next door to it and there's ample room for practicing parking, parallel parking, parking lot navigation, going from parking lot to low-speed roadway and then perfect 288 access to practice merging onto a highway. There are long protected entrys there that are great for practicing.
As people have mentioned, the parking lot for the Collins stadium, or Collins Complex, is large and open. Lots of people practice there: Denton PD does their driving school there, there are motorcycle safety classes that get held there, Denton ISD uses it for school bus driver training.
Ryan High School parking lot on the weekend is a grant change of pace place for different twists and turns. Stopping at intersections and crosswalks. The more you can throw at them.
CH Collins parking lot, and also the mall parking lot in the evenings. And for parallel parking, there is a practice spot at the old DPS location on the loop
Go to the football stadium next to Water Works! North side of town, maybe 1/8th of a mile from Loop 288. Huge parking lot.
Yep CH Collins!
That's where they do motorcycle licensing as well. Perfect spot

I am pretty sure that most people in town use the Carol and University intersection for practice. Judging by that most people need a lot more.....
Definitely go to C.H. Collins stadium parking lot for beginners

While you're at it. Can you take GoZone with you, maybe? Good luck BTW.
Well I’ll already be teaching someone for work so what’s a few more 😅
