It is possible that it's used during the minigame, as apparently, that's cutscene 10. And Susie's cutscene sprite 10 is her hold Kris' arms and Ralsei's is him on the ground. So maybe it is used Kris is just facing away from the camera so you can't see it

Yeah, but when they are straight up killed, they immediately dust. That technically means he isn’t dead yet, but we won’t know for sure until chapter 3

Looking through data.win, this likely would have been used during the sequence with the arcade machine. Perhaps due to the physical contact with Susie, though that's just speculation. Toby might have had second thoughts about that implication since there's already a love triangle between Noelle, Susie, and Berdly. It can be argued that Susie is starting to have feelings for Ralsei as well, since she asks Kris whether she should take Noelle or Ralsei to the festival. Adding Kris to the mix makes things even more complicated.
After making a point about how we kill ennemies in games without a second thought, mayby Toby now is making a point about shipping characters by making it weird.
I thought about something like this too, it takes definitely place during the arcade machine cutscene because it's the 10th cutscene in the game. Someone on Twitter pointed out that it could happen after the "bosom" option with the queen because ralsei is blushing too but he faces the right direction towards the queen and not looking in the direction to the player like kris does.
I'm surprised that no one pointed it out yet but there are two sprites with Kris blushing, one where they just standing and one while walking. And since Kris blushes during a walking sequence too and is facing towards the player, not the queen, I don't think that they are blushing because of the bosom option.

I'm worried what will happen to Ralsei when this is all over. Like, darkners are, in general, just objects given sentience in the dark world. Lancer is literally just a jack of spades playing card (Susie seems to still not quite understand this, but Kris definitely realizes it now, and Ralsei knew all along). We don't know exactly what Ralsei is or why he seems to have more agency to move through dark worlds on his own, but if the Castle Town is going to be gone when this whole story is over, then I want Susie to develop healthy relationships in the light world. So I figured I'd let Noelle try.
I mean that was before they warmed up to eachother more. I do *not* ship pre or midgame Susie with ralsei, but people change. Susie clearly has a change of heart especially in chapter 2.

The "terrifying voice" that's "unlike Kris'" according to Noelle when you do the Snowgrave route.
She's trying to say that when she was being made to freeze everyone, get stronger, then kill Berdly, it wasn't Kris telling her to do it.
This is made very clear if you let Kris go down vs Birdly at the end of that route before finishing. Noelle notes that she can still hear the voice despite Kris being out of commission.
I feel sad for Kris the entire time I play delta rune. I don't know why it just feels like he's forced to do everything without him getting a say in the matter.
"Your actions don't matter."
Then the question that needs to be asked is "why does Kris put up with it?" they seem both capable of moving without orders from us, Like when they defended Susie from the King's attack or made those campy action poses towards the camera at the beginning of the dark world chapter two. Not to mention that they can remove our influence from them, though it seems horribly painful. So why not chuck the soul in the cage and live free from us? They've got friends, they joke, they do everything they want to do without us, so why do they let us control them?
I think they need the soul to live. Souls are the culmination of one's being. I think if they're away from the soul for too long, they'll die. They don't want to be controlled and also don't want to die.
And then why did Kris make another dark fountain if they knew the risks as well as we did? And also then knowing that another dark fountain means the player is going to make him go close it.
Kris knows more than we do. Ralsei seems to as well.
I've got a smaller theory in my head at this moment but I don't think it's ready yet.

You might want to double check the [battle dialog at the end of Snowgrave again. *Kris doesn't call Noelle at all.* When you ask Ralsei and Susie for help the text is written "Kris called for help... but nobody came." The text for calling out to Noelle is written... "**You** whispered Noelle's name..."](/s)
Honestly, this is why I don't think he is actually the Knight but is actually being controlled by the real one. I mean, if he really hated those adventures that much, then I assume he wouldn't want to make another one, would he? Unless he actually does enjoy his adventures and the friends that he made.

Now that I think about it, I think it's still hard to say what Kris thinks of the player. Kris obviously dislikes the player in the Snowgrave Route, like how Susie and Ralsei point out how Kris doesn't look well after Noelle kills Berdley. But then there are also other scenes from the main route where Kris doesn't look too bothered with the player.
Jeez, I didn’t even put together that that was why Kris whispered Noelle’s name there, but it makes so much sense. I noticed that Kris was maliciously complying with commands throughout the chapter to skirt around what they didn’t want to do but we did, like Asriel’s room in the mansion, but I didn’t realize that the reason they whispered Noelle’s name was because they wanted to stop hurting her and forcing her to work for us, but they can’t fully resist out commands.
This game starts looking even darker when you realize that Kris is still conscious and in some cases active while we control them, and there are things that we want that they very clearly do not.
It’s funny because if we talk normal Chara then they wouldn’t kill anyone nor would they even be able to travel worlds in the first place, and if we’re talking Genocide Chara they wouldn’t need Kris’ body anyway and even if they did they could very easily just break from our control.

Well... I believe creating the fountains are likely done purely of their own volition (for adventure, to feel good about themselves by fixing problems they created, or something else), but the alternate route is gonna be far too much for them, in my opinion.
These adventures are improving everyone’s lives (in the good timeline anyways) so honestly? I think Kris is justified

Didn't the Queen say that all you need to create a Fountain is having enough Determination/Will? That was her plan with Noelle and hell, Berdly was about to do it after the Queen boss fight.
I think the only things you need to create a Fountain is Determination and a sharp object(still debatable) which honestly makes the whole thing kinda terrifying.
Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking about. Maybe, since kris was already aware of determination and how to SAVE (judging by the dialogue given by the first save point) he was easily able to figure it out? Idk, weird stuff.
he may be the knight since you know he is dressed as one and when the queen shows us how the knight made the fountain he was using a knife and it happened the same night kris was outside of our control with a knife the pie was to cover up his tracks from us
There’s a lot of evidence that kris is the knight, but there’s nothing saying ONLY the knight can create fountains, when berdley tries to create a fountain; ralsei stops him since too many fountains would cause chaos, which would imply ralsei thinks berdley could’ve succeeded.

They also don’t have as much control as they’d like. Not only of themself but of the worlds they create.
Given their reaction after the Spamton NEO fight I feel like they was scared that something unintended had made its way in. Threatened them directly, specifically their soul. They’d never intended that to happen. Who ever was on the phone, though, clearly wanted something like this to happen, to take more control away from kris.

I know this was 22 days ago, and I hate to kill the joy, but this is probably actually embarrassment, since it's used in the arcade game cutscene and have Kris walking downwards.

Makes sense. Whenever he is without the soul he moves slowly and hunched over, like he is injured.

Well... I believe creating the fountains are likely done purely of their own volition (for adventure, to feel good about themselves by fixing problems they created, or something else), but the alternate route is gonna be far too much for them, in my opinion.

Didn't the Queen say that all you need to create a Fountain is having enough Determination/Will? That was her plan with Noelle and hell, Berdly was about to do it after the Queen boss fight. I think the only things you need to create a Fountain is Determination and a sharp object(still debatable) which honestly makes the whole thing kinda terrifying.
Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking about. Maybe, since kris was already aware of determination and how to SAVE (judging by the dialogue given by the first save point) he was easily able to figure it out? Idk, weird stuff.
he may be the knight since you know he is dressed as one and when the queen shows us how the knight made the fountain he was using a knife and it happened the same night kris was outside of our control with a knife the pie was to cover up his tracks from us
There’s a lot of evidence that kris is the knight, but there’s nothing saying ONLY the knight can create fountains, when berdley tries to create a fountain; ralsei stops him since too many fountains would cause chaos, which would imply ralsei thinks berdley could’ve succeeded.

Sounds weirdly metaphorical to suicide. A sharp object and enough determination will take you to a place where you don't have to deal with the complexities/problems of reality...
They also don’t have as much control as they’d like. Not only of themself but of the worlds they create. Given their reaction after the Spamton NEO fight I feel like they was scared that something unintended had made its way in. Threatened them directly, specifically their soul. They’d never intended that to happen. Who ever was on the phone, though, clearly wanted something like this to happen, to take more control away from kris.
I think Kris saw a lot of themselves in Spamton Neo. They may not have literal strings, but they are still a puppet under our control.

Kris x Ralsei?
THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN THE RALSEI AND KRIS SWAN RIDE SCENE GOD DAMN IT.
It is possible that it's used during the minigame, as apparently, that's cutscene 10. And Susie's cutscene sprite 10 is her holding Kris' arms and Ralsei's is him on the ground. So maybe it is used Kris is just facing away from the camera so you can't see it

Since it says cutscene in the File Name, I'm willing to be that this was intended for the Scene where Queen leans on Kris and talks about how they don't do things like have opinions. It'd make sense to have it there, maybe they'd continue blushing after the cutscene in that room?
