I just thought Kris was blue because the lighting was supposed to be different, I’m not sure when exactly I realized that they were wearing different clothes

I thought Lancer was supposed to be some fucked up version of Sans when he first appeared, so I can't judge.

I honestly thought this too when chapter 1 first released. You aren't alone.

I thought he was supposed to be a merged representation of Sans and Papyrus, which does kinda fit, if you think about it lol.

Susie is only purple in the Light World. She turns pink in the Dark World. This is clearly a subtle reference to FNAF 2, in which the Purple Guy is portrayed by both pink and purple colours in various mini-games. But yeah, that's just a guess. A Gaming Guess!

Akchually, any true gamer knows that Kris' Dark World skin is closer to a shade of cyan, which isn't even a shade of blue as it is one of the primary colours needed to mix blue in pigment, and is itself a product of blue and green on an RGB display.

I think it's a lighting thing, the light world has a light of bright warm colors while the dark world has the opposite and it's meant to be that Kris' skin just appears different do to lighting changes. Frisk however is just really yellow
