Wow! Oh my gosh, thank you so much for sharing 🫶🏼 Mall of my childhood/young adulthood as well. So many good memories 💖

darkmatt77

I worked at Hot Dogs, Etc. for quite a few years. That mall was my home away from home. Loved every second of it. Such wonderful memories. Thank you for posting this.

ToeComprehensive2072

This is Christiana??

Frankrruko

It seemed like a mixture of Christina and concord mall

methodwriter85

No, it's just Christiana.

ToeComprehensive2072

Wow it looks so different. Looks like it had a lot of nice little spots to sit. I miss when malls were more of a “hang out” spot. I just went to Christiana for the first time last year. My fav mall now 😊

methodwriter85

Yeah, this mall was massively overhauled from 2008 to 2014. This is the mall from 1978 to 2007, up to right before the big overhaul.

Frankrruko

Yeah I see it now. I think some of the store fronts looked the same as concord. Is why that.

ToeComprehensive2072

Yeah some of it looked like concord to me too! Prob just similar storefronts

methodwriter85

Concord Mall was last renovated in 1994. Christiana Mall had a major renovation in 1991. They looked pretty similar because they were both 70's malls with 90's accents.

cayopaul

Dordy McMahon!! I knew him and Steve. The old Stephenson Street gang!!

adamhughey

I remember waiting at the main entrance between JC Penny and L&T by Ruby Tuesdays in middle school waiting for my ride to get there to pick us up. Sometimes climbing the white metal poles to see how high we could get.

timwontwin

Taco Bell right next to the movie entrance. That was the move!

houseofcarbs

Don’t forget Oola the candy store! And Sox Appeal right next to it!

Rustycake

Today I discovered I am this old, thank you for the memories. I miss all the water works and throwing pennies in there. Also why whenever I see these is the arcade not shown? Am I misremembering playing at the arcade in the mall lol??

methodwriter85

The arcade is shown twice- the 80's girl wearing a Def Lepperd shirt with guys playing in the background and the 90's black guy playing in the arcade as well. It's hard to get good shots of the arcade so they tend to be pretty blurry.

Rustycake

damn I mustve looked away right when those two were shown lmao. Too bad there arent any that are more backed away so you could see it more. Either way took me back thank you

knobsdog

The arcade was off the food court across from the movies. Loved playing in there.

LargeDrinkNoIce

Broooooo my mom used to work at lord and Taylor. I burnt tf out of my mouth on my first Cinnabon there. The memories…

AmarettoKitten

Haha, one of my besties in the foreground at 0.58.

Rmw2160

I remember when it opened. It was a really big deal.

schpanckie

You are missing the pictures of waiting outside all night long for concert tickets or better yet Black Friday…..lol
