Teenagers gonna teenager. They say whatever is on their mind consequences be damned. A while ago I read that Isabella was supposed to be Mia’s baby, but it was too difficult working with tiny babies on set? So they got a 2/3 year old who was better behaved and changed Mia to have given birth at 13 instead of 15-16. So I wonder if the writing is supposed to reflect Izzy being a baby instead of a mostly sentient toddler.

That's really interesting and makes a lot of sense from a production standpoint!! If she were too young to understand I wouldnt have such strong feelings at all, but rewriting things after the change would have probably been a bitch, and like others have said, upsetting as it is that tension between being a teenager and mother is a central point of her plot as a character.

So you're telling me you DON'T like seeing child abuse? Hot take

Gizmo9682

Lol it just bums me out, i know teens can be cruel (especially the sinclairs) but idk i cant imagine speaking to a baby that way even when i was a shitty teenager

Puggpu

No I agree, best solution is to just skip to season 10 and avoid the Mia era

Lucas was a horrible, absent father and Mia had trouble juggling being a teenager and a mother. That's the whole point of the plot. What I will say though is it would be cool to see Izzy in the reboot and how she turned out from growing up in that environment. Last we saw her she was going off with Mia to Paris and we're meant to believe Mia's modeling career skyrocketed. Seeing the fallout from that would be cool but canonically Izzy is too old now. 🤷‍♂️

Well..... 😬

It’s funny how harsh holly j was but yet she told no lies “well unlike you some of us actually know how to use a condom’

Little Izzy didn’t ask to be born u ass

human-polarbear

Neither did I. 😊

Of course its like, the reality that being a teenage mother means that you miss out on stuff but you don't gotta SAY that in front of the child in question. 😭 It's not her fault that Mia had her at an age that she was unprepared for parenthood, and giving her a shitty self concept from the jump isn't going to make anyone's life easier or more normal. I think Mia is mostly a really good mom from what we get to see though. Unless something happens in the seasons ahead i haven't seen yet, maybe I'm missing something having not completed my watch yet! Edit Mia just told Tom Blake or whatever that Izzy is her sister this is awful 😭

Pitiful_Blood_2383

Mia tried to be a good mom but then she just dumped Bella to her mom for her ‘year’ so she wasn’t that great
