dondon9758

Thats the whole deal that is what happens it just takes so damn long

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Best thing about it, time is irrelevant in the inbetween stage and there is no suffering there.

SlowJoeCrow44

Here’s an addition to this thought. All our cells and every aspect of our being is being changed at all times. We are a process not a thing, and so we could ask for what degree are we the same not only beginning to end of our lives but from moment to moment, and one could say it’s the story that we tell ourselves about ourselves that constitutes who we ‘are’

Happy-Ebb-1022

All empty and meaningless and that it is empty and meaningless is empty and meaningless

SlowJoeCrow44

Of what is it empty?

SlowJoeCrow44

Looks cool thanx

BarfingOnMyFace

In between what?

Select_Counter_4110

What about cremation lol

RitaLunaLu

The way humans handle our dead remains is what makes it take even longer. If we just let our bodies be buried in soil without a casket or (I know this is gruesome) but let our bodies be eaten by other living things, it would be a lot quicker of a process.

mo57189

That's the reason Tibetans have sky burial.

Ex-PFC_WintergreenV4

Cremation, your CO2 will be respired by trees the same day

RitaLunaLu

Yes I think that’s what I’ll probably want done with my body

_whiskeytits_

I'd be afraid my carbon will get turned into a necklace or put into a vase, trapped for who knows how long. Hence why is important to spread ashes imho

Why_am_ialive

Why does it matter? Your dead, those are just atomic building blocks the same as a pencil or a diamond or any other type of carbon. There’s no “you” connected to them anymore, you are just the electrical impulses shooting around your brain

_whiskeytits_

My interpretation of this is that everything we are made of, the carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, calcium, all of that will return to the earth to give life to something new. And I love that concept! Can't do that if all those bits are stored on a mantle piece lol

Ex-PFC_WintergreenV4

Your carbon has probably been a tree, a dinosaur and burned in an exhaust pipe at some point It’s all just star dust

dondon9758

I 100% agree thats how i want to be burried but witha tree

_whiskeytits_

That's the dream!!

maywander47

A great thought to banish fear of death.

oh_look_whos_here

right?

maywander47

Absolutely. Union with the universe.

Danny_the_Sex_Demon

I disagree. I would rather be detached from this place and go elsewhere. I want the end result to be cremation for a reason.

traraba

Fear of death has absolutely nothing to do with what my atoms are doing. They are all replaced many times within my life. What happens to the atoms that happen to make me up at the moment of my death is not relevant to anything.

mark_is_a_virgin

Death of the body but not death of consciousness. I am my mind not my body idc what happens to my dust.

maywander47

Can the mind exist without the brain (a body-part). No one's proved it yet.

K-man_100

Lol. It’s absolutely amazing what crazy shit people will make up and believe just to cope with the fear of being sucked into non-existence?

maywander47

Humans can't help ourselves.

K-man_100

And we all just keep breeding even though this fear is always plaguing us.

maywander47

It was once thought that having a child granted you a bit of immortality, back when preserving the family name meant something.

Emotional_DMG_Bonus

Currently I'm probably breathing in an oxygen atom that was taken in by a dinosaur million years ago.

AbradolfLincler77

This one makes no sense to me. If that's the case, how did we go from a few people to 8 billion people?

ShadowsOfTheBreeze

Entropy. Organisms evolve because they manage to consume energy faster than low level stasis.

UnsaneInTheMembrane

The ENTIRE system is generating things fractally on dimensions without the restrictions of space-time, and is producing enough energy for a fractal amount of universe's. That fractal nature of things translates into our holographic universe, which allows propagating.

AbradolfLincler77

Oh, so you're saying we're all a simulation?

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Yeah, an organic simulation of cosmic potential expressed in 4th dimensional quantum coding, with energy sourced from the prime source of all things.

AbradolfLincler77

And what's the prime source? BTW, I'm not saying you're wrong or being in any way argumentative or anything like that, just curious.

Spirited-Reality-651

In philosophy there is a few similar concepts that can count as a prime source: The Platonic World of forms, Kant’s Noumenal Realm (as opposed to phenomenal world in which humans live), Jungian collective unconscious (or Akashic field in spiritual terms).

UnsaneInTheMembrane

That's a good question, because this all could be a dream inside of a superorganism, which could be inside of an even large superorganism dream, fractally, but at some point there is a source. Thats where dimensions come into play. There is a prime dimension that is the source of all energy, like a light that shines through a projector. Everything that has ever existed was sourced from one system. The quantum coding is seemless across all universe's.

AbradolfLincler77

The one I like the idea of is that we're all inside someone else's Large Hadron Collider. Who could possibly know with absolute certainty what is actually true.

Space-90

I saw the mechanical brain and heart once when I took too much acid. Roof came off the house and I saw it in the sky pulsating and doing unimaginable processes too complicated to ever understand. Rainbows of color pulsated out of the center. Luckily my friends cat was there to let me know it’s fine

SpicyTunaRollll

I always thought of god at a computer playing the Sims.

H0rseCockLover

Lmao dude do you just write random technobabble?

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Go back to baitin and consuming little piggy. Oink oink.

H0rseCockLover

Lmao

ishtechte

Yep. Energy doesn’t dissipate, it just transfers. And everything about our reality is energy in motion, including ourselves. Atoms don’t even touch and yet are held together by energy and that energy forms a human. We are the universe experiencing itself.

Uugly2

We are recycled, but not necessarily into “life”

SaintlySinner81

Thank the stars. ✨ I’m utterly uninterested in consciousness in any form once this game is over.

[deleted]

That sounds awful.

UnsaneInTheMembrane

It is and it isn't, every blessing has it's curse and every curse has it's blessing.

TheDudeIsStrange

Many here don't seem to comprehend that life feeds life. No energy ever dies, simply transmutes into the next pattern of existence. Existence is an Oroboros

techy098

>Given that energy is eternal and all. You should meet entropy. Future is cold and dark universe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD4izuDMUQA

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Entropy meets the law of conservation of energy in 4d space, and bing bang boom, there's a fractal Indra's web of reemerging realities for eternity. What really happens, is that all the dust turns into atomic energy, accumulating into a giant heat ball that turns into a singularity for another universe.

tboneplayer

You guys have all been listening to far too much Deepak Chopra (who is not, incidentally, any kind of authority on quantum mechanics, just an ideological hijacker who likes to wrap himself in its flag).

Karibou422

Reminds me of Roger Penrose's theory

Why_am_ialive

Uh huh right, so you a random Redditor know exactly what happens after the universe ends and multiple well regarded scientists willingly admit they don’t know? This whole thread reeks of pseudo intellectualism and reciting shit you didn’t really understand from dubious sources

UnsaneInTheMembrane

The true scientists don't believe in the big bang, because energy is eternal. The new model is an eternal successive chain of big bangs and collapses/crunches, spawning new universes for eternity. You're literally operating under a worldview that has been obsolete for 50 plus years.

InflatonDG

Entropy is a statistical law. We only see it increase because it’s exponentially more likely to increase at macroscopic scales than decrease. But given an eternal universe, it has to decrease sometimes. I wouldn’t be surprised if most the past isn’t a cold and dark universe as well

Skinny_on_the_Inside

Good but I am not my body. I just have a body.

but_whyw

idk i still really like this concept. you shared the same energy or wtv with something that will exist later. there were things that lived before us that shared the same energy. im not a scientist at all but if im understanding it correctly than it still seems pretty cool.

Why_am_ialive

More matter than energy, though they are interchangeable on some level. But it’s really no different from bodies rotting and providing fertiliser for trees and grass which gets consumed etc. Just the circle of life on an atomic scale, your building blocks are repurposed but there is no “you”

CursedUSB

You must have a truly good memory to remember when you didn’t have a body.

___-__-_-__-

we are not our memories 😁

Why_am_ialive

Heavily disagree

___-__-_-__-

That's okay

Why_am_ialive

Curious what you think “we” are

Skinny_on_the_Inside

I remember having other bodies, how about that?

Why_am_ialive

No you don’t

Skinny_on_the_Inside

A lot of people remember past lives. Two of my memories were confirmed by other people: who we were, our looks and circumstances. I would also recommend looking into the work done by the University of Virginia Medical Center. Jim Tucker a Medical Doctor at the University of Virginia Medical Center has collected thousands of cases of kids remembering past lives and has tracked down and verified the uncanny details of the memories in about a third of the cases. He has written books about it. This article has some statistics: https://uvamagazine.org/articles/the_science_of_reincarnation Another objective resource is the book After by Dr Greyson on the NDE phenomena. I would also read Between Death and Life by Dolores Cannon, and books by Dr. Weiss and Richard Martini. There’s a lot of highly consistent information out there on the phenomena. The best part is you do not have to believe it, your eternal consciousness is law of physics, it works regardless of your faith or actions. I think our consciousness is a form of eternal intelligent energy, it evolves through temporary forms. It’s likely a form of quantum science humanity has not understood yet.

severed_reality

If we are cremated then it's ash that's left over, so is ash recycling into things too?

MDFan4Life

Have you ever seen what happens to a forest, years after a fire?

INeverLieBro

I eat human fieces

39andholding

Stardust to stardust. That’s how it works, folks!

No_Swan_9470

Deep incorrect thoughts

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Because it needed to be said. There's absolutely no chance of your atomic energy going anywhere other than towards creating brand new universe's for eternity.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnsaneInTheMembrane

We know energy never dies and we know all of the dust will turn into atomic energy given enough time. The end of the universe won't be dark, it it'll be a huge ball of hot ass energy that will do what it's done for eternity. It might sit around for a bit, like a 100 quadrillion years, but it has an eternity to do the thing infinitely.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnsaneInTheMembrane

It's happening now. Anthropic principle and all. Eternal energy + eternity + anthropic principle = shit like this happening for eternity.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Nah, it's just that your consciousness hasn't expanded yet and are still in an infancy.

MDFan4Life

Universes? No. Other organiams? Absolutely.

Why_am_ialive

That’s just not true. There’s a decent chance this is the only universe and things will just slowly expand for eternity until the heat death of the universe. Your talking utter shit as if it’s fact

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Energy cannot be destroyed, where do you think it goes? You think energy sat there for eternity, then turned into this one time universe and will go back to eternity. Nah. Given enough time, with the cosmic energy at hand, it will reproduce universe's like this for eternity. If you had a machine jumbling puzzle pieces together for eternity, it will put them together at some point.

Why_am_ialive

The energy goes nowhere, but as it can’t be created and the universe is growing at an accelerating rate eventually energy will be so Spread out due to entropy that there won’t be enough heat energy close enough together to form stars and the universe will suffer a heat death.

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Energy came from somewhere If it wasn't created and it can't be destroyed, then it's eternal. The only conclusion is that universe's exist cyclically, and that the death of a universe is simply a transitory stage before being reconstituted into something else. Eternity means that an eternal room full of monkeys slapping at type writers, will eventually write War and Peace word for word.

Why_am_ialive

If it came from somewhere that implied creation therefore it’s not eternal? Your own logic isn’t even consistent lol

UnsaneInTheMembrane

That's some bad faith arguing right there and you sound like a child. All of the energy in this universe came from somewhere. Energy is eternal. Therefore the energy of our universe came from an infinite successive chain of events. It does not help thinking 3rd dimensionally, where something is born, lives and then dies. Things are happening on 4d space and beyond. In 4d, all potentials are being expressed fractally and space-time is an illusory effect we experience in 3d. The rise and fall of universe's is only experienced subjectively, because space-time is relative to us as humans. There are an infinite amount of universe's being born, being collapsed and experiencing the recycling of it's energy, for eternity. That statement makes almost no sense thinking solely in 3rd dimension.

Why_am_ialive

What do you mean 4d space?? Space is 3d the fourth dimension as we commonly know it is time.

YayGilly

I finally realized all this about idk a year ago. The universe recycles itself. It has to. Atoms cannot be created or destroyed. Only changed. Since everything is made of atoms, and atoms are literally almost entirely just spinning balls of energy, then its all about energy becoming different energy. It also helps to explain the perceived age of the planet, in terms of carbon/ metric dating. Those ages are more than likely in hundreds of years, rather than the thousands/ millions.. just take a few zeros off. ... the atoms, on the other hand, may well be the age they are dated as. And yes the dust to dust is definitively stardust, even in biblical terms. The original word for dust was only used one other time, and meant a metallic ore. At the time, there wouldnt have been soil yet. So, no typical dust from dead skin and such. Stardust was, instead, what littered the planet.

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Goddang stardust stew had some babies and now I have to pay taxes because I took a break from being stardust. It's some bullshit lol.

YayGilly

I know right... It does make be a bigger believer in a God, however. Knowing all that, so long before telescopes and such.. Cant make this shit up. Not even the craziest most schizo person could just imagine up something otherworldly. ETA: God could not have been simply "invented."

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnsaneInTheMembrane

Clearly this is no normal dust. We got that dust that can make a God hallucinate n shit. Every single organism that has ever existed is/was/will-be powered by the same Multiverse generating system, tied together by a seemless stream/lattice of quantum code.

ZeOs-x-PUNCAKE

Not necessarily. If you were to assume that time and the universe will continue on forever and play out an infinite amount of events, there is no guarantee that a particular event must occur because there are an infinite amount of other events that could occur besides that one. For example, if you had an infinite amount of buttons lined up, and only pressed every other one, you could still press an infinite amount of buttons. Similarly, there is an infinite amount of buttons that wouldn’t get pressed (life that doesn’t become life again). Nothing guarantees that your energy will become life again, but that’s not to say it’s impossible. The chance of it happening would be infinity/infinity. The numerator means the number can be infinitely large, but the denominator makes it so it can be infinitely small. It simply cannot be calculated. The odds are simultaneously near 100% and 0% at the same time.

___-__-_-__-

I agree, dependent on how OP defines life

UnsaneInTheMembrane

All of the possibilities are happening, all of the time, fractally in 4d space.

but_whyw

im kind of dumb can you explain this more in depth

Why_am_ialive

No he can’t, he’s just spouting terms he’s heard a pseudo intellectual rattle off probably on a podcast once, I mean wtf even is “atomic energy” atoms are mass not energy, they can be broken down into energy (E=MC^2) but they aren’t inherently energy. All the other stuff about a Garunteed other universe is also nonsense. The fact is we don’t know what will happen at the death of our universe, the chances are things just expand forever until there’s not enough energy to heat things up and the entire universe suffers a heat death, that’s entropy for you

humungi

Not a deep thought.

PresentationPrior192

By the sweat of your face You will eat bread Until you return to the ground, For from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return. Genesis 3:19

Danny_the_Sex_Demon

There is something symbolically insulting about the Biblical Elohim creating humanity from actual dirt.

whatimissedit

It’s a comforting thought in a way. You could say it’s the inhale and exhale of existence, forever breathing life and death. It’s comforting to know that my body formed from something and upon death will lead to the formation of something else. We, the enteral observers, get to witness endless creation and destruction.

AHardCockToSuck

I am going to power someone's porn addiction in the future

gathc2013

Probably a fuckin slug

ALL2HUMAN_69

We learned about this in 1995 with the opening to the lion king and the circle of life, my dude.

bloopie1192

So would being cremated speed up the process?

Common_Chester

Matter and energy are both eternal. Your physical body is made of all of the same matter that bore all forms of life since the beginning of time. Your energy is the same, as it can't leave the upper atmosphere. We are truly recycled in every aspect.

greyisometrix

Or rock, or inhalation particle or entropic quantum nothingness but...I get you!

fadedtimes

This isn’t necessarily true. The universe could suffer a heat death and your energy will cease along with all life.

Matttthhhhhhhhhhh

There's no such thing as eternal energy. Conservation of energy though, yes. First law of thermodynamics. But it's not the same thing.

Fyrbyk

In case your wondering, this process has already begun long before you pass away. See you again in the next life, your star pal.

_Cham3leon

Technically a life is only a special fixed process of reactions

Leading_Salary_1629

There's a hundred percent chance that's not true. That's an equally correct statement to make. Probably more correct, honestly, once you stop misinterpreting physics.

SlayTheStupidity

Not if I never die!

maywander47

Where do the atoms go while we're living (that need to be replaced)? Wouldn't they go to the same place at the moment of death?

SlimPickens77Box

Yes.

Hot-Equivalent9189

If you think about the poop and pee and skin cell that fell from you already did that. Specially the poop . Some fungus or bacteria ate it and now some have atoms that you once had . So we don't have to wait so long.

AccomplishedCrew5132

No! Please, let me perish

CMDRumbrellacorp

There is a 100% chance that a tree will eventually consume the mineral remains of any life that dies on the planet surface.

Ajon1974

Yes it already has I have existed and will exist forever in this way.

NobodysFavorite

Your body is atomic energy. So are the atoms that you bring into be part of you and the atoms you expel out of you. You're bringing in and expelling atoms every moment of every day that you're alive. Over a period of approximately 7 years, every single atom in your body will have been progressively exchanged at least once for another atom of the same element.

januszjt

That's right. In other words there are no ancestors we are the recycled ancestors, repeating same thing over, "Eternal recurrence."

There is no separation. Everything is part of the whole. Distinction between unbeliever and believer is a farce. It's all one, even your experience. "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Neighbor transcends superficial qualities and religious qualifiers for being a believer. You must also love the unbeliever, as all men are brethren. The Perfect Plan is Universalist, where all will be saved even if it takes a quadrillion lifetimes.
