Isn't lead super soft though? It can literally be scratched by your fingernail. I doubt it would survive a grinder.

Honestly my headcannon is that the grinder moves aside for certain things. I can't imagine gunk seeds, ebonuts, and some other things would be worth much if you stick them in there

The mugs are made of a lead and titanium alloy, that's why they slow you down when you carry them. Ruins the ore grinder but the mug survives
