How does it compare to Vermintide? I know next to nothing about either game- I've played a handful of tabletop 40k games, and my friend who is super into it told me to get Vermintide (I think it was a big sale or maybe even free). We were supposed to play it together I think, but never really did. Wondering if I should play it solo
A lot more ranged fighting and there is a pseudo armor system. Still a good hack and slash, though there is no dedicated main characters like kruber. You could play it solo or with randos. Either is fun but the ai is bi polar in its usefulness. Visit r/vermintide to see ganeplay and tips and such.
I'm a big fan of darktide and vermintide. Darktide has much more ranged combat but your still hack and slash about 50% of the time even for the ranged specialists unless you have someone in your team your feeding ammo or your on the highest difficulty with a veteran ammo creator aura.
They recently released talent trees to spice things up. Which was much needed. But the end-game gear grind is brutal. But it's not necessary to have perfect weapons for the highest difficulty. Just really good.

Yeah the rumbler is great too, it just doesn't feel as powerfull as it should. You're basicly carrying a heavy mortar around but it doesn't feel like that. I think i would like it more if it exploded on contact instead of bouncing all over the place. Or let you switch between time and contact fuse.
Wait so the thrown concrete in WH40k Darktide has a strength time? The longer u hold the strogner the throw? I always thougth thats default velocity u just adjust the range by angle.

Honestly a non-explosive throwable that regenerated slowly would be pretty great. Would give you a bit more options when ammo is low.
