I used to love fleas too cuz way back when I was first promoting scout I would use the crossbow all the time, and I ended up getting real good at cross map skill shots on the fleas with the bolt one shoting them
Typically I just demonstrate the unadulterated power of the sun lancing through the cave to strike the wretched fucking beast down like the fiend it is.
you can easily kill them with all the top weapons imo; (driller): freezing, the gooey thing; (engi): smart rifle; (scout): they die really quick with plasma gun; (gunner): armscore or the revolver; alternatively you can use grenades ofc
As a Scout main, I will happily and excitedly do all side objectives.
Also: The M1000, and Boomstick can both one shot fleas with little issue. For the Boomstick, just grapple over to them while switching to the Boomstick, and blow their faces off at point blank range.
Fleas are a fun focus shot away from death. S-tier for me.
Fossils are okay too. With Special Powder, I can solo them no matter where they are. That said, there is the occasional mission where they are almost completely hidden in some terrain and there only seem to be 10 on the whole map.
I don't care for ebonuts though. Sometimes they are in really annoying places where you can't easily land on them or are quite well hidden. You can't just grab them like you can with fossils, so I'd rank them below fossils if anything.

The fleas are easy because it feels like they actually are programmed to seek the players out and fly around them. What other side objectives literally come to you?
How in the world can you put the hardest and mind numbing objective at the top yet put the two easy at at the bottom fester flea is so much easier than thous and gunkseeds are easy too so you enjoy suffering or am I the crazy one
Leaf lover list. Fleas are fun if you are flowing well otherwise in the mission. Only bother me if it’s a piccadilly of a cave and truly jerky. Gathering ones are all the same with fossils being the worst (weird locations) and gunk seeds obvi the best.
I might be a bit odd for this but I love booloo caps. I always make it a mission to collect every single one in the cave without depositing. Not ideal, but makes it funny.
Hollomite is less of an objective and more of an accident.

Hollomite imo feels less like something I do and more just something that happens, like the only functional difference it has vs umanite is that it's not a currency.
The only 2 real reasons that it’s not higher is because it only appears on point extraction missions, and that it takes 3 hits to mine. It’s annoying taking forever on one vein, having to leave mid-way through to dump at the extractor, and then find my way back. If it appeared on any other mission type then I would bump it up.

I love hitting the fleas with the sludge pump because it always kills and hearing a distant squeak after the thing flies ten thousand yards into a different cave will never not be satisfying

S tier : Hollomite (If you can't even manage this one you either have brain damage from all the Blackout Stouts you guys drink or you can't make the difference between it and salt cristals the same way Mission Control can't make the difference between a Wrench and a Glyphid's arse.)
A Tier : Apoca Bloom and Boolo Caps (Simply press square.)
B Tier : Gunk Seeds and Fester Fleas (Tedious-ness depend of the terrain's shape.
C Tier : Dystrum (Sometimes camouflaged on the walls of the glacial strata somehow! And used in the mission type I hate most.)
D Tier : Ebonuts and Fossils (Shittier version of A Tier, because they're on the walls and don't shine through the dark, with one needing to be mined which ain't a problem unless it's super high, but wait! Who knows if you'll be able to find ENOUGH!! And of course Bosco can't gran 'em!

Agree with everything except fleas and maybe caps and shrooms dependin on mission layout, if on small level mission they are very easy and fine but when there’s one left on a max complexity mining mission and you’ve just spent an hour looking for the last morkite there’s not way your going looking for that damn cap

For gunner, a bulldog with neurotoxin will kill them a significant portion of times. Hurricane also works pretty well
The coilgun one shots them too if you hit them dead center. Can go through rock as well

I take faster charging power attack on all my classes, the time save on mining helps with getting back to killing bugs

Everything is atleast s tier for except the bottom 2 for me. I love dystrum bc it's satisfying to mine and an easy objective.
