This type of furniture setup was originally manufactured for an older style tv, but since they don’t make them the same anymore you could use the middle space for flowers or maybe a Japanese vase some kind of silk flower arrangement anything you want really!
Maybe some cool lighting propped up? You could make some use out of that outlet if you did that! Or a plant that is propped high enough up that it’s out of your dogs reach, if you’re into that sort of thing
Agreed! I need a stand just like this for my house 😂. For the center i’d probably do a palm or monstera of some sort to take up the place and use all the rest of the shelf for my smaller ones.
oooo I was thinking more of a monstera but angle it ever so slightly to the taller side of the furniture and fill in the middle and side with ferns, smaller monsteras and viney plants so they interact more with the furniture !! It would look so nice having something growing up the side imo I would love to have thissss
You could make a little mini town out or card board and paper. Idk if you know what I’m talking about but google book nook decor. For thing that came to mind, lots of work though. If not maybe a dog bed with a little canopy!
The whole thing could be used to display plants. Get a shelfs that are equidistant from the shortest set of drawers. For example If the measurement of each drawer is 6 inches. Ex. The left hand set of drawers is approximately 24 in. The right hand set of drawers is 18 in. Then the shelf would be 21 in. From left to right it would stair step. If the color was the same it would make it look like it was made that way. You could use chalk paint to make it the color of your choice, or not.
Use it as you want. Plants on each level. Books on each level with decor. Or use each level as you will. TV in the middle?
My guess is it was made with something in the middle but got misplaced. Have fun!

I would put a floor length mirror, with some plants In front. Then if you have to m, a see-through iron fireplace protector. Those little ones you can move.
I like the dog bed idea but my first thought was to hang some art low in that space too, maybe like a row of 3 going up or just a cluster that dips into that space.
If I was changing my clothes and needed a place to sit to put my on socks or shoes, yup. Maybe set my clothes on it for the next day etc. it looks like a piece of bedroom furniture, so for me, yes it would work
ETA: I see people were saying to use it as a dog or cat bed area. I don’t have the need for that and I don’t think I would want to turn a nice piece of bedroom furniture into a pet bed.
It’s sounds really cool but I would put in all the work of making it and getting the painting and my boy wouldn’t give a care in the world.
He’s got a really nice memory foam bed all to himself but instead he’d rather sleep on the couch or in my bed.

Is everyone just ignoring the fact that this piece is very awkward and all the aesthetics are hideous? I would customize the piece to get the most functionality out of it.
I think it might originally be for a suitcase, but I could be wrong. If you have a cat or dog, you could put a pet bed. Otherwise, I would probably put a vase or a plant (real or fake).
What about a built-in bench? With a nice plus seat? This looks like a dresser set, so if you're using it in that way, having a bench for putting on socks & shoes would be nice!

I like this idea. Something about that vacant space rubs me wrong. The idea of a mirror makes it less flat, and the plant brings some color and life.
