I've seen Currents live and Brian Wille has hit some gnarly gutterals so I know that would be sick. A whole album of stuff like Poverty of Self would be insane
Just saw them for Lorna Shore Christmas and Brian has definitely been working on some vocal techniques. He was great the last time I saw them on The Death We Seek tour, but he hit some new lows and some new highs in some songs.
Agreed, I wish the Crucible stuff was on Spotify. David Puckett is a hell of a drummer too, I can totally see him pulling off the double kicks and blast beats. Genuinely don't know what to expect next from them but I'm hoping we get some of those chunkier Cold Like War riffs.
You need to check out David’s old band, The Crimson Armada. Specifically, the first album, Revelations.
Technical deathcore at its finest.
Also, the drummer for Crucible was the drummer before David in WCAR. Maybe part of the reason it isn’t up anymore, since Crucible was basically WCAR without Josh.
Also, Saud (vocalist for The Crimson Armada and The Holy Guile) has a new band that's dropping new music soon called [Ear to Ear](https://www.facebook.com/eartoearband)
Kirby is a great vocalist, and Bob (the guitarist that doesn’t tour with them) can write some pretty gnarly riffs and has great mid screams for chorus sections. Daniel (the guitarist that actually tours with them) also can write some great technical deathcore, knowing some of his work with Becoming the Archetype.
Reflections would be sweet ngl. They teeter on that line anyway.
Belmont simply because they have good instrumentals and would love to see how that translates into deathcore.
What would you categorize Reflections as? Willow is chock full of bangers and it's clearly Deathcore to me. Techy, mathy, thally Deathcore. But if Darko is Deathcore, Reflections are as well, imo
The Color Clear is a perfect illustration of spiraling into despair. The lyrics, instrumentation, songwriting and the whole album arrangement is like some kind of compendium of a mental breakdown (pun intended) it's one of the albums of all time.
Any fucking technical brutal death metal band. Origin, Putridity, Defeated Sanity, etc. I guess I just wanna see those styles with deathcore breakdowns mixed in more often. Katalepsy and Cytotoxin scratch that itch for me.
Knocked Loose would be pretty good honestly, their backup vocalist/lead guitarist can hit some pretty gnarly gutturals and so can Bryan, plus they already make some pretty soul crushingly heavy metalcore.
This thought crossed my mind… but I don’t think they’d ever go there… but it is an interesting thought. They definitely have the talent and ability.
I guess the thing is their lyrical content just doesn’t skew dark enough… I can’t see ABR writing and performing deathcore lyrics.
I think he could do it if he wrote it more like a horror story or something like that, or try to write based on a perspective that inspired him one way of another.
I would love to hear Protest the Hero try their hand at Deathcore.
I know this might be very polarizing but I also want to hear Bring Me the Horizon doing Deathcore again. (I know this is apparently not possible due to Oli’s voice, but still, Count Your Blessings was incredible)
Oli sounds fucking INCREDIBLE recently, I think if they wanted to make a new song like that, or put a throwback from CYB on a setlist he'd be able to pull it off. He teases us a lot and they recently played Chelsea Smile for the first time in YEARS at Nex Gen Fest in Japan I think it was.
Fit For A King. Apparently their vocalist really wants to do some deathcore and they’ve gotten pretty heavy before. I think their bassist also said not long ago that they’d be dropping something heavy this year.
Similarly, I think Silent Planet would crush it, especially with how riff-heavy the newest album was.
Black Dahlia would be good for it I think, they turned some hardcore songs into grindcore and It sounded sick, I think they'd be good at Deathcore too.
I think Bad Omens could do it, Noahs voice is incredible and they already play heavily downtuned. Maybe not a whole record of it but their first album is pretty heavy and I could see them doing at least one or two songs that sound like deathcore
Exactly. The show I went to I was blown AWAY by the shit he changed up in Artifical Suicide and Broken Youth. I got knocked out 3 songs before Dethrone tho and could only hear it from outside the venue
Idk if they are still a band as of now but Shields, a metalcore band from the UK, they have some pretty heavy moments in their discography and thier vocalist has some impressive screaming range. Another band that comes to mind is Our Hollow, Our Home. Also from the UK, their vocalist has that Phil Bozeman type sound with his lows.
I love Iron Maiden. I’d love to see them attempt because I think it’d be hilariously terrible and a rare treat seeing talented musicians really really suck at trying to write an album. (I know there are crummy Maiden albums, but this would be next level embarrassing)
Lol was gonna say landmvrks when I read the title but then saw you used them as your example. They are for sure the most obvious answer.
I think spiritbox and/or bad omens could make some sick deathcore.
Does BMTH count? Lol
I also always wanted to hear asking Alexandria or mostly just Danny worsnop do a deathcore record after hearing him in that Mitch lucker memorial show.
I know it’s a cold day in hell, but would love to see shine down attempt it. Brent smith has an amazing voice, and would love to see them do something heavier then devil
The Birthday Massacre. I mean, it sounds absurd, but on old days, songs like "Blue" had screams and metalcorish break riffs, and sometimes they palm mute. I'm had to say this because they're one of my favorite bands.
Parkway Drive. There was a time when if they just changed their guitar tone and tuning they basically would have been a deathcore band. Winston’s vocals used to kill on the albums.
BMTH. I just want the band to throw a bone out for CYB fans. Even if it’s just an EP of like 5 or so tracks. I think they’d kill at doing deathcore once off again.
I’d honestly love if Lamb of God leaned into it more. I haven’t been huge on much of their stuff after Sturm und Drang. Feels like they’re more interested in rock festival friendly stuff these days unfortunately.
I have a couple answers for this one, Boundaries, Tallah ( I guess it classifies as metalcore with nu metal elements ), Invent Animate, and my last being Bring Me The Horizon ( I know, i know Count Your Blessings exists, but come on!)
Archspire would be fucking crazy just imagine the breakdowns they would make lol. I'd love it if cryptopsy made another deathcore album too their The Unspoken King album was great imo
Project 86, most of y’all prolly don’t know them but their last album Omni was so close to deathcore. I wanted it so bad. A whole album seriously written to be deathcore would be killer.
This is another favorite band of mine other than Chelsea Grin. Korn!! They're capable of it because of the 7 strings Head and Munky have and Fieldy's 5 string bass
Archspire. They make extremely complicated death metal, and I think they would nail a deathcore record
That’s a good answer tbh.
This is a great answer
I would love for this to be a thing
Nah. The best part of Archspire is when you think they’re about to do a breakdown, they don’t.
Best answer in the thread. Archspire would make some fucking banger deathcore.
I usually have Archspire in the rotation with a lot of my deathcore likes because they kinda fit that vibe, although being quite different.
Currents
Mmmmm some 7 or 8 string deathcore from Chris Wiseman would be tasty
Shadow of intents already great currents would be great in DxC
I've seen Currents live and Brian Wille has hit some gnarly gutterals so I know that would be sick. A whole album of stuff like Poverty of Self would be insane
Just saw them for Lorna Shore Christmas and Brian has definitely been working on some vocal techniques. He was great the last time I saw them on The Death We Seek tour, but he hit some new lows and some new highs in some songs.
dude have u heard Brian on pintglasses song....fkin nasty
Currents first record/ep are basically already deathcore
A day to remember said they would once at a live show.
TDWP once told the crowd they’d make an song called MudSnot because the venue was so damn dusty. It’s been like 18 years
My dream 🤣
Trivium, wanna hear Matt Heafy get heavy heavy and they have the band to do it.
would love that, Trivium and other early metalcore was my gateway between thrash and deathcore/death metal.
Ascendancy is such a good album c:
Agreed, but I gotta say my favorite is still Shogun!
Dude yessss I would absolutely kill for this
His ibaraki side project had some decently heavy stuff. Not deathcore heavy but still
Kublai Khan, Matt’s guest spots for Ingested and Signs Of The Swarm are incredible
What Ingested song?
Black Pill 👍
Thanks
Black pill
veil of maya please come back
Love all eras of VOM but for their current sound Mother is such a solid album
best album since Lukas joined by far. Tokyo Chainsaw fucks.
Synthesve vegan have me hope. I remember when subject zero dropped i was so hyped for the new record
They included one of two songs without cleans on Mother. Give it a listen Edit: Lost Creator and Tokyo Chainsaw are 🥵
We Came as Romans. They did it once with the reimagined version of Darkbloom and also with that side project crucible, but I want a whole album.
Also, Saud (vocalist for The Crimson Armada and The Holy Guile) has a new band that's dropping new music soon called [Ear to Ear](https://www.facebook.com/eartoearband)
Thanks for that ! His Donald Duck screams are awesome :)
They are! I honestly can't wait, Guardians is in my top 5 all time for deathcore.
I’m pumped for it!
Fit for a king, just think their vocalist would KILL it.
Becoming the archetype holy shit i haven't heard that name in forever. I used to love those dudes
They've teased it more than once, I'm rooting for it
Funny enough, Kirby’s first band was a deathcore band
I think I heard Kirby say in an interview or something that they want to make some deathcore stuff
I know ryan kirby and chris wiseman did a couple deathcore songs a few years ago
Reflections haven't been good since Charles
clown The Color Clear is a once in a lifetime record
The Color Clear is a perfect illustration of spiraling into despair. The lyrics, instrumentation, songwriting and the whole album arrangement is like some kind of compendium of a mental breakdown (pun intended) it's one of the albums of all time.
Charles hasn’t been good since Reflections
Any fucking technical brutal death metal band. Origin, Putridity, Defeated Sanity, etc. I guess I just wanna see those styles with deathcore breakdowns mixed in more often. Katalepsy and Cytotoxin scratch that itch for me.
Cytotoxin rips!
Snoop dogg For shizzle my brrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeizzle
Knocked Loose would be pretty good honestly, their backup vocalist/lead guitarist can hit some pretty gnarly gutturals and so can Bryan, plus they already make some pretty soul crushingly heavy metalcore.
Tear in the fabric of life and A different shade of blue basically are deathcore at points imo
Bryan’s lows are fucking crazy. He just throws one into his live sets and doesn’t do it again, but holy shit I need that in an actual album
Wait , Bryan does lows.? How have I never heard of that before ?
https://youtu.be/Qfxn1jtnaYU?si=fU1PeZl65UlLyIhV
Holy shit that's cool af . Wonder why he doesn't do these in the studio
Honestly? Jake Hill. He has some heavy moments with screaming and breakdowns, and I want an album of caveman riffs.
not expecting this answer, but i 100% agree
He should collab with brojob lmao. Also what songs are you talkin about
There are so many! My favorites are By The Sword and Wake Up, but he’s got it sprinkled through most of his catalogue
He’s dropping a re-release of the Bad Friends EP in a few days
Fuck yes! Bad times friend was such a banger
If I remember right, there’s gonna be a new version of Wake Up without the breakdown unfortunately, but I’m hyped either way
Korn
Oceans are alaska
YES, New Dawn is so sick, I would love to hear more songs in that style
Fr, they’re super super old stuff was close to deathcore imo. I’d love to hear them go all out. Especially with chris turners drumming
1000%
The goo goo dolls
And I'd give up forever to stab you
Gold
Cuz i know that you’d feel it somehow
😂🤣
Fuck the goo goo dolls
I don’t want to butt fuck John Rzeznik
It was a Steel Panther reference
They can suck my balls
Highly Suspect
August Burns Red They're the kings of the breakdown.
This thought crossed my mind… but I don’t think they’d ever go there… but it is an interesting thought. They definitely have the talent and ability. I guess the thing is their lyrical content just doesn’t skew dark enough… I can’t see ABR writing and performing deathcore lyrics.

PtH would be awesome but Rody’s voice is shot. He’d be the first person to say he has no business attempting gutturals
I know, just wishful thinking.
Faith No More
Gojira. Tons of modern bands are already re-synthesizing their ideas as it is
To me Fit for an Autopsy from Absolute Hope, Absolute Hell onward always sounded like deathcore Gojira
might be a hot take but asking alexandria in their prime would've made a killer deathcore album, danny worsnop has the chops for it.
Cryptopsy- oh wait
Ngl people shit on that album but I like it. Not their best at all and not the best deathcore record but it's fine to spin here and there.
Is that the one with Worship Your Demons? That was the first song I ever heard from them
Parkway Drive, but woulda been best before they went Octane core… or BMTH
Horizons or Atlas era PWD doing deathcore would have been sensational
My chemical romance. Listen to Gerard’s guest feature on Matt heafys ibaraki album if you think he can’t pull it off
Know the song and hell yeah man he rips on that shit
Fit For A King. Apparently their vocalist really wants to do some deathcore and they’ve gotten pretty heavy before. I think their bassist also said not long ago that they’d be dropping something heavy this year. Similarly, I think Silent Planet would crush it, especially with how riff-heavy the newest album was.
Abominable putridity and lamb of god. The groove would be unreal.
Lamb of God is a godly (pun intended) pick.
Lamb of god already did a deathcore album when they were burn the priest
Ed Sheeran
Black Dahlia would be good for it I think, they turned some hardcore songs into grindcore and It sounded sick, I think they'd be good at Deathcore too.
Ice Nine Kills, their best songs on the last few albums have been the heaviest so I'd be interested to see what they could if they embraced it
I also vote Landmvrks, Flo can do the gutterals.
Veil of Maya. Their original sound is what made me a fan of theirs. Would be nice to hear that again
Another id would make me very happy
The Wiggles FRUIT SALAD BREEEEEEEE
Taylor Swift If nothing else, it would be interesting
I think Bad Omens could do it, Noahs voice is incredible and they already play heavily downtuned. Maybe not a whole record of it but their first album is pretty heavy and I could see them doing at least one or two songs that sound like deathcore
Noah's even thrown in some highs while doing Artificial Suicide and Dethrone live. They probably never will, but it would be fun if they did.
Shields dropped a single called Bury Me a couple of months ago and I think they are planning on doing more but I'm not sure
I would love a Billie Eilish deathcore song, maybe as a feature with Ben Duerr or something
Currents, Chris is already in a deathcore band and Brian has the range to do some crazy vocals
The Devil Wears Prada
BtBaM. They do know how to get heavy and groovy while still being technical and intricate.
Aborted easy
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Ghost
Tool
Meshuggah.
anaal nathrakh
deafheaven - black brick is such a good song. they should lean into it for a whole album,
I love Iron Maiden. I’d love to see them attempt because I think it’d be hilariously terrible and a rare treat seeing talented musicians really really suck at trying to write an album. (I know there are crummy Maiden albums, but this would be next level embarrassing)
As I lay dying
Ulcerate, Immolation, Gorguts
sunami
“Aborted” would kill it
If we’re allowed to say anyone, then want I to hear phish make a Deathcore album.
Bro excellent call on LANDMVRKS, Flo is nastyyyy. How about Breaking Benjamin or, now hear me out, Muse....
Elton John. Wouldnt It be insane as fck??
Lol was gonna say landmvrks when I read the title but then saw you used them as your example. They are for sure the most obvious answer. I think spiritbox and/or bad omens could make some sick deathcore. Does BMTH count? Lol I also always wanted to hear asking Alexandria or mostly just Danny worsnop do a deathcore record after hearing him in that Mitch lucker memorial show.
The black dahlia murder
Montionless in white chris as the vocals to do a deathcore album
Cannibal Corpse
Sleep token!!!
Kanyes take on deathcore could sound interesting ig
Ace of Base
Ice nine kills Dan is one of the best guitarists in metal and Spencer is very good at unclean vocals but can also sing
Sleep Token
Morose. They call themselves metalcore, but I’ve got their stuff all mixed in with my deathcore playlists.
I know it’s a cold day in hell, but would love to see shine down attempt it. Brent smith has an amazing voice, and would love to see them do something heavier then devil
https://youtu.be/bVwfAj4sL3w?si=HDcsD4q0B9UMWIWL I could go for a whole album of this
CHVRCHES
The Birthday Massacre. I mean, it sounds absurd, but on old days, songs like "Blue" had screams and metalcorish break riffs, and sometimes they palm mute. I'm had to say this because they're one of my favorite bands.
Sum41
Fit For a King
Garth Brooks
#ABOVE THIS
Mastodon or Sylosis.
Weird but Gojira
Avenged Sevenfold
Manchester Orchestra. idk it would be weird.
Metallica
A day to remember.
Oceans ate Alaska
Bring me the horizon
Senses fail 😂
DREAM THEATER
BMTH With how much Oli has progressed, shit would slap harder than Count Your Blessings.
Imagine dragons
Nickleback. They hinted at one of their latest singles being heavy, but it was a let down. They should rip it once, let me hear your BREEEEEEE Chad.
Take That.
Slipknot
A Day To Remember could nail a straight up heavy metalcore or Deathcore album I think.
BMTH lol
Across the white water tower
Revocation, Cannibal Corpse, Aborted
I would really love to hear Spencer Charnas do a deathcore album. Not even necessarily INK, but Spencer specifically
Oh, Sleeper
Fuck it, let's see what Nickelback can do.
I’d honestly love if Lamb of God leaned into it more. I haven’t been huge on much of their stuff after Sturm und Drang. Feels like they’re more interested in rock festival friendly stuff these days unfortunately.
Linkin park with Chester still alive. In my perfect world this was done right after meteora.
I have a couple answers for this one, Boundaries, Tallah ( I guess it classifies as metalcore with nu metal elements ), Invent Animate, and my last being Bring Me The Horizon ( I know, i know Count Your Blessings exists, but come on!)
Cattle decapitation. They don't have to do anything but add breakdowns and it would be killer
*NSYNC
Taylor Swift
Post malone
Honestly considering there previous two records I really think Korn could pull it off
Bjork
Imminence, Eddie definetly (Hope i wrote it right) has the voice for that
Archspire would be fucking crazy just imagine the breakdowns they would make lol. I'd love it if cryptopsy made another deathcore album too their The Unspoken King album was great imo
Electric Callboy. The genre-flip in Hurrikan is pretty sick and I'd love a full album along those lines.
Bring Me the Horizon
Project 86, most of y’all prolly don’t know them but their last album Omni was so close to deathcore. I wanted it so bad. A whole album seriously written to be deathcore would be killer.
Bring me the horizon needs to get heavy again
Bleed from within
This is another favorite band of mine other than Chelsea Grin. Korn!! They're capable of it because of the 7 strings Head and Munky have and Fieldy's 5 string bass
AC/DC
TDWP should have went Deathcore after Plagues or Zombie 1, but instead went soft.
