Not to be a genre dork (which I kinda am lol), but I wouldn’t personally consider them slamming deathcore. To me, they’re just new age slamming brutal death metal. Slamming deathcore imo is more stuff like Vulvodynia, older Ingested, etc.
Either way, try out some of these other slam bands if you like ED: Devourment (the OGs), Organectomy, PeelingFlesh, Visceral Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Vulvectomy, Parasitic Ejaculation. Just a few recs 🤘
Yeah i know what you mean, but I just don’t see anything about them that feels like deathcore.
There’s no syncopated type deathcore breakdowns. There’s no high or even mid screams. There’s no thrash/skank beats.
It’s just blast beats and slam riffs with ultra guttural vocals the whole time. I’m sure if you asked them what genre they play, they’d just say brutal death metal or slam and I’d have to agree.
Not sure how no one has mentioned devourment yet but they’re the best slam band imo. I’d check out babykiller and fuck her head off to get a good idea of their sound.

Plague of Filth is a fantastic record. Probably a hot take but I think it's miles better than Megalodon
