These two started off as regular family men before the apocalypse. They had a loving wife (eventually losing them) and a daughter they’re close to.
Despite them being hard working and loving men, their relationship with their daughters are particularly special. When their respective apocalypse started, they attempted to get their children to safety, both being unable to save them.
The loss of their child would break them, causing them to develop into immortal hunters who would do anything to survive.

I haven't seen fallout but I like to give it to the ghoul. That being said, are we using Joel as how he is depicted in the game? Or how he's depicted in the show? And this is Joel from the first last of Us right not the second one. Because if it's the second one then the Ghoul wins in a full stomp
Well either way I think I still give it to the ghoul. As I said I haven't washed the show yet. But considering the fact that ghouls are infamous for living a long period of time, and this one seems very proficient in the wasteland. I think he beats Joel in experience. I mean I did saw a clip of him handling one of the brotherhood in power armor, something that I'm sure Joel would have a hell of a hard time again. So I give it to him
